Locksmith was the dispatch number called initially from Google search, then sent to Affordable Lock and Safe LLC (Joshua Biscamp) for the service requested. Josh quoted job over the phone for $150.00 after I sent pictures he requested via text. Time quoted was 45 minutes, but Josh didn't arrive until 2 hr. 15 min later @ 9:33 PM. Lock that was put on was cheap and scratched. $605.12 was the total after Josh and his helper. SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS! I never even paid that for the condenser that went out on my AC unit! When asked why the price was so high, I was told "the fire marshal requires both locks to be changed". If this is true, this should have been quoted in the original price. I have called the original service, E.A. Locksmith, 9 times since the day after service (2/3/24) to rectify the situation. I get different people each time and one, hung up on me 4 times. The amount charged was completely unwarranted. I was quoted $150.00 and in fairness, fully understood if the amount was $200.00 or even $250.00, but $605.12 is absolute robbery! I am seeking a refund for the amount charged OVER the quoted price. $455.12 is what I was charged OVER the quoted price. Invoice attached plus photos from the night of service and the "new" lock the day after service when it was light out. DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! He came over on a Saturday, replaced or fixed 6 different locks with 2 different keysets - for less than most locksmiths will do one lock. What set his work apart for me was his attention to detail. He fixed two of our old gate locks that had been bothering us for years, without being asked and without even mentioning it. Now the gates lock with ease. He etched a simple "g" on all the gate keys.
