Yobi came out to my son's house to fix the front door deadbolt that was not working. The deadbolt would not move at all with a key or by manually turning it from inside the house. Yobi did a great job boring out a bigger required door hole size as well as getting things in good alignment for deadbolt movement. He also analyzed all of the other door locks in the house for proper operation and provided very detailed comments on items to consider for future upgrades. 6 key copies were made and all of them work fine for locking and unlocking the doors. We have been sitting here almost an hour. We were here first and a little over a half an hour ago, three other cars pulled up. The guy stopped everything to work on their cars. Even though he was working on ours first. And he never gave us any explanation as to why he stopped working on ours. He just vanished. Mind you Juan called us to come in to get the work done...and we were here within five minutes. And no one else was here. So this should have been a quickie. There is a restaurant a couple of spaces down the street, and if we had known he was going to put us off like this, we would have gone to eat. But what should have been a quick "open the panel, take out the old lock, replace with the new lock, re-key the new lock to match our existing key" half hour job at most, has now been over an hour and a half of us being shoved off to the side and he still hasn't finished. Of course, listening to the heifer who line-jumped in front of us and her kid complain about how long it is taking for him to program a new key and fob to replace the ones they managed to destroy isn't helping my review...one...single...bit... so I told them it could be worse. Imagine if they had been here and had him working on their car when other people came in and demanded he work on theirs first. Because that's what happened to us. She wasn't impressed with the irony. But now that everyone else is gone again, he just told us the dust cover on the replacement lock isn't closing...meaning the part could be defective...meaning we may have to do this again... Did I mention there are no chairs inside his storefront? And no waiting area? So we have to wait in the car. Or stand outside. And after finagling with the dumb thing, he has decided it is workable and is trying to put it in place. My grandfather did this kind of work after he retired from the Fire Department...he could have knocked this out faster than this guy... and probably cost less. All because some jackhole loser tried to break into our 20-year old beater standard transmission truck last Christmas with a screwdriver. Our AM only busted radio and shredded interior must have been calling out to him. Because we don't keep anything inside it. Ever. Finally we are finished...two hours after we arrived. read more

I went here a few weeks back to get a new car key made. They had sent out an advertisement through the mail for 15% off so I figured I would check out a local shop instead of going to the dealership. Not sure what was going on this specific day, but it was very backed up and there was one employee there. There was a little bit of confusion as to what was where and what was in stock... Long Story Short: At the end of the day, I got a new car key (with chip) made and it cost me about $60 which was $100 LESS than what the Nissan dealership quoted me at. I'll call that a win. Wayne made me a key for my truck, they have ability to program your chip. No worries, if any problems arise they will help. They also sell remote controls. Buying key here saved me money dealer wanted $43.00 but $135 to program. Here the entire thing was $65.00. Highly recommend. He is quick. They try to help. No worries. He can make you a key. I had been trying to deal with a Dealership in Alvin to have my keys reprogrammed after I had to have a new key made out of town when my keys were lost. The dealership wanted $115 per key to reprogram. I called a any kind lock and safe and spoke with Juan. I came in to the shop after work. I use to get my keys made at Home Depot and only about 1% of the time the keys that were made worked. The keys made here always work. They're very friendly and I would recommend them to anyone. These folks do what it takes to get a solution. Have a car key fob that you can't get the screw out of to change the battery? They'll take care of it even if it means getting creative about removing that darn screw so you don't have to spend the money for a whole new fob. Have a back door that no longer latches because the deadbolt and the strike plate don't line up anymore? They will work with straightening it up, shimming, or whatever to make it usable again. They've done both for me and did it quickly! They always advise you what would be the most affordable way to get something done rather than what would make them the most money.
