It's definitely getting out of control, ADUs are taking over residential areas, and destroying…read moreother single homes privacy. I am one of the victims of an ADU right behind me. A permit was filed for five ADUs plus the main house, six units total on a single-family lot in the middle of our block (bought by an out of town developer). Building of this monstrosity has started, looking directly into my yard. My privacy disappeared overnight. After 23 years in my home, I never imagined I'd lose my peace and sense of safety like this. The City has no care or concern for residential home owners any longer, only backing out of town developers with city loans to profit off single family homes. I had no choice on taking matters into my own hands. Previously used Moon Valley Nursery in El Cajon for some Palm Trees last year, I went back for help. I can't thank the manager, Peter, enough for helping me plant beautiful ficas trees to bring back a little privacy and peace. Their team led by Misael, were professional, kind, fast, and truly cared about my situation. Thanks to Moon Valley Nursery, I can look outside and see something beautiful again. I went…read moreto the nursery to purchase some trees and was taken around by golf cart and made my purchase. Paid the crazy delivery and planting fee (no it is not free unless you buy HUGE trees). Was hoping I would get great nursery stock for the price, and just as great customer service. The trees arrived and were planted, and within minutes of the truck leaving I looked at my magnolia and it was COVERED in scale and white fly. I immediately called, was told that it should never have been planted and they would give me a spray to treat it. Eventually, they agreed to replace it along with my tangelo tree that had leaf miners. I had to wait a month with diseased trees until they were replaced. They did drop off a spray for me to use, it had no effect. The second magnolia tree they dropped off had the same issue, but they told me it had been sprayed and the new growth would be fine. Not so. Now that are telling me to get up into my tree and wipe off the scale and flies. Seriously? I have since spoken to several other nursery workers at other facilities, and apparently the nursery is known in the industry to have shady business practices. I wish I would have known this before I spent thousands of my hard earned money. I also called their corporate offices and left a message and sent a detailed email of my experience. Crickets. Very disappointing experience. Buyer beware.

It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. They seem very nice at the office, but when it comes time for the employees to do the job, it's consistently not so good. I've for a few years now asked them to do certain things, and they say they certainly will at the office, but it just doesn't get done. Major communication breakdown between the owners and the employees. Also, If you ask them to use different employees, they will say, 'no.' I've tried several times to work it out and speak with the manager. The employees just don't care about your yard. Full stop.

They also did quite a bit of cement work and built a patio cover. We recently had our slope cleaned up and everything was trimmed and fertilized. The 2 landscapers who did this work completed what we requested to perfection. Eddie did most of the trimming and another gentleman did most of the cleaning up. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. At the end of the day they completed our requests without hesitation and at a very competitive cost considering the terrain they had to traverse. I think this is all you can ask for.
