This may be my longest Yelp review ever because I am OBSESSED with Oma's Family Farm! Hands down my son's favorite place to go, and honestly one of mine too. It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. Cute place. I came for my son to see their Dump trucks and dozers event. We even got our tickets ahead of time and came at opening 9am on Friday. Very thought out event. More stuff to see and do than Bates Nut Farm. I truly wish there was more crowd control with the tickets for the event because it became hard to enjoy after 10am. Like maybe maxing out the event tickets would have been nicer for each time slot. I will plan to be back for the next trucks event definitely! read more

What an absolute gem of a place. I've been living in San Diego for over five years and have always heard of Oma's Farm. After having my son, we knew this was an experience we wanted to have. Ticket pricing isn't bad for general admission, then paying for add ons (especially if you have a toddler who might not be able to get to everything in one visit ). There was a massive variety of pumpkins to choose from! Even some of my favorites like the Fairy Tale Pumpkin. All of the employees we came across were warm & welcoming, very eager to share all there is to do! As a very first experience, my family & friends were blown away. My son got to pick out pumpkins with his classmates for school, & I can't wait to return next year to get a tradition going with my family. Last but not least, the food stands were great! Totally worth the visit with young kids! We got lucky that there were tickets to purchase for the earliest slot (9am) the day before and it was super easy to drive there, park, and get checked in with the QR code. They were very thorough in explaining the programs and how to redeem extra things. The best thing is that general adminission gets you into a lot of things, construction vehicle demonstration, sandpit, bounce house, playground, petting zoo, etc. Our group of kids were entertained just by those activities. The $5 to feed the goats was super worth it and fun as well. read more

Love Oma's, we attend every season! I was only disappointed with the water slides and how unattended by staff they were... they really needed to place big tarps under them to help keep a little grass out, and they honestly needed to have a staff member netting out what they could here and there, and refilling with fresh water. What a hidden gem! We had such a fun experience at the Oma's Family Farm. There are countless activities that will keep your little ones busy for hours. The pumpkin patch, the wagon ride, games, goat feeding, jumpers, water and dry activities, plenty of photo ops, a market, a small food shop and clean bathrooms. I stumbled upon this awesome spot on IG! What's super cool is that it's just a hop, skip, and a jump (about 8 minutes) from our parents' place, and we're already counting down the days until we can head back for some Christmas fun! First thing: pack a wagon, stroller, water, jacket, hat, sunblock, snacks, and all that good stuff. We didn't have a stroller because my little one has grown out of it, but it's great to have a place to stash everything. It gets super hot during the day and chilly at night, so think Disneyland--you'll want to spend more than 3 hours there because the kids won't want to leave! There's just so much to do here, and it's seriously a blast. I definitely suggest bringing Zyrtec or allergy meds beforehand, as there are cottonwood plants, corn husks, and bees everywhere! Bring an epi-pen just in case of anaphylactic shock, and albuterol for anyone with asthma. A lot of people were rubbing their eyes and sneezing, even me! They do have some fun coffee drinks and snacks, but no alcohol, which would be great for the adults who just want to chill. There was also a really yummy Italian ice food truck and Mexican food. We got there around 3 PM and didn't leave until 7:45 PM, when they closed. My kids had a blast! As I mentioned, there's so much to do there! My son's absolute favorite was the Apple launcher from a real military launcher pad thing. You have to pay an extra $20, but they had a blast! The only downside is that most of the toilets (about 4 of them) were having plumbing issues, so one toilet was only available, which made the lines super long for those who needed to go or change diapers. I think having more food trucks and alcohol would be a great addition to this place. Lastly, they never answer the phone there and take a while to respond. Definitely make reservations online and get tickets online... I wouldn't just show up cause you may get turned away. It's very nice that it's not too super crowded. They keep their crowds low by reservation, which is nice & comforting. Solid 4 stars read more

Oma's sets a very, very high bar for pumpkin patches in San Diego, especially when you have kids age 6 and younger. There are SO many activities perfect for smaller kids. There are lots of farm animals to see, a petting zoo, goat feeding wall, corn crib, jumping pillows, games, playgrounds, a cotton hill, so many trucks to play with, wagon rides, and so much more. The staff always does a wonderful job setting up perfect photo spots all throughout the farm. The atmosphere is so sweet with pleasant music playing everywhere. This place is great because it's local but yes it does get super busy. It does have a lot to offer as far things for the whole family especially kids and photo ops. My only downfall was there not being a lot of food options and where we got food it was of course sub par and kind of sloppily thrown together. Apple cider was watered down. Fresh donuts were cold. Pretzel was super salty. I guess they are more focused on people spending money on admission and buying pumpkins. Overall great for the family. read more

Decided to give this place a try after seeing a post on Facebook . I took my family here for the Pumpkin Patch event. The website says to buy tickets in advance and price didn't seem to overinflated for the description of activities . Dirt /gravel road all the way from the street to the parking lot , but it is grated nicely . Check in was easy with the QR codes that we had . The wagon ride is an extra $5.00 . If you buy the pumpkin pick package it only comes with a very small pumpkin or $5.00 off larger ones . The larger prices were quite pricey . We spent $42.00 for three medium size pumpkins and that was after using our $5.00 off times 3 tickets . They have a coffee cafe , didn't try their coffee since lines were fairly long . They have a very cute market area where they sell candles , jelly , toys etc. Staff was friendly and helpful . Overall I feel that I overpaid for my adult kids and myself . It shows it includes a lot of activities , however the activities are definitely for kids 10 and under . $23.00 admission for each adult adds up to not be able to participate in all activities . My favorite activity there was the goat gobbler wall . Cutest thing I have seen! If you have small children , this is the place to go . If you have lots of young adults , I would suggest a different venue . read more

We had an absolutely amazing time at this family farm and pumpkin patch! There's so much for kids to do -- it's the kind of place where you can easily spend the entire day. From feeding and petting animals to bouncing in the inflatable house, tractor rides, launching apples, and playing in the corn kernel pit, the fun just never stops. There are trikes and ride-through structures, sandboxes, and multiple playgrounds that kept our little one entertained for hours. The grassy open areas with balls and space to run around were a huge hit too. Plus, there are plenty of picnic areas for relaxing and enjoying lunch, and we loved the convenience of on-site food trucks and a café. One of the best parts? There are tons of cute photo op spots all around the farm, so you can capture all those fun fall moments with your family. Parking is free (yay!), and it's super family-friendly. Just a tip: buy your tickets online ahead of time since they limit at-the-door ticket sales to help manage the crowd -- which we really appreciated for a more relaxed experience. I can't say enough good things about this place! My family and I are regulars during the Spring for Recess and the Fall for their Pumpkin Patch. There is so much for the kids to do and I love when they have a baby animal petting zoo! I just went yesterday as a chaperone for my son's school field trip and fell even more in love with Oma's! They started the trip off with a tour which was insightful and fun! The tour guides were charismatic, engaging and very patient (huge group of kindergarteners)! It was truly a wonderful field trip! Need to know: -Dirt driveway so your car will get dirty -Purchase ticket in advanced -Tractor ride is 15 minutes -Plenty of photo ops so bring a few change of clothes! Their restrooms are clean -Sun is setting early now and the last entry is at 6pm, they close at 7pm. -You can bring food -Don't forget to check out the sunflower field -Pets not allowed -Free parking All the early times sold out and mid day is too hot. I wanted 530pm but it was sold out so we got 6pm. The tractor ride (additional cost) is half hour after your entry time and it's 15 minutes. By that time, we lost the sun and the place was closing at 7pm. So plan accordingly if you are going close to sunset and closing. This place is great for kids of all ages with lots of activities as if you're at Boomers or San Diego Fair. You can easily spend hours and never leave! There's -sand sledding -basket ball -shuffle board -area for ages 5 and under -bouncing ball field -jumping area -petting zoo -many more In addition to activities, there are numerous 'stations' for family photo ops. Oma's didn't have a lot of options for pumpkin picking. I would suggest to go somewhere else but come here for your annual photos. The tractor ride was informative. It lasted 15 minutes and went around the back lot to the horses and cows. We saw a small sunflower field that I didn't know existed. Make sure you check this place out. We went to Oma's Family Farm for the pumpkin patch for the first time and I think it's average. It's a large space with cute photo backgrounds. They have a lot things you can pay extra for, like the maze and tractor ride. I knocked off stars because the petting zoo in the back was filthy and the animals did not seem well taken care of. There also wasn't a lot of food trucks so options were limited. Overall our experience at Oma's Farm was average at best. read more

I was reading reviews with less than five stars, you guys probably out of your mind. If you have kids and want them to have best Pumpkin Patch experience, take memorable photos with different backgrounds, introduce your little one to the country life - this the place!!!! If you don't have kids and didn't enjoy this place, maybe you needed to go a bar/club etc. Such a reasonable price for what you can do, staff is very welcoming, there are no people telling you don't do this, get in line here....actually there were no lines, expect to get a coffee/ donuts (this can be improved. Went with a school field trip. We bought tickets for two extra adults. We were told if there was room they would be able to join the tractor ride. Well there was another school and 4 trailers with seating. It would make sense to give two for each school. Instead, they gave one to one school and 3 for the other. The one trailer was packed while the other 3 had extra room with a whole empty section. Our additional adults, including the teacher could not get on!!! Even though there were definitely empty seats and enough room had we been divided up evenly. This is terrible customer service. All it takes is some attention to look at the number of people and accommodate. Don't you care about the customers?? This has been a long running program. You'd think they would have it figured out how many fit by now. Extremely disappointed to see this. The selection of pumpkins was small. It was $13 for no tractor ride and no pumpkin. I did see a sign to pay $5 to go on tractor ride and get a pumpkin. There is a lot for kids to do and you could definitely spend a good amount of time there. Bring lunch and snacks. Plenty of seating and handwashing stations. There are restrooms but poorly managed. I would rather use the port-a-potty. read more

I never write reviews but this place deserves one! As a mom of a 3 year old and 3 month old, this pumpkin patch had some things I really appreciated! 1. A "baby care" area for diaper changes, nursing, etc. This was so so sooooo apppreciated! As a nursing mom, I can't think of a single place I have gone that offered this! This is amazing! 2. Sinks for small hands! Have you ever tried to hold your toddler up to reach a sink while simultaneously wrangling your other kids?! Almost impossible. Oma's has small sinks both inside the bathrooms and outside by the petting zoo. Please never ever change this! Besides these two amazing features, this place is the best for families! Very fun farm! We went for bubble fest in the field area but the entire farm has so much to do, a bunch of activities we couldn't even get to them all before my kids were getting tired and ready to play in the water. Highly recommend to anyone, the people are very friendly especially the woman who was working the front desk. They gave out bubble wands and otter pop vouchers which was great especially since it was a hot day. There's a cafe on the property for the otter pops and other options but it does have a $5 minimum to use your card BUT the item are well priced (no $8 waters here) I got 2 juice boxes and 2 waters for just a bit above the $5 dollars and the man working the window was also very friendly and helpful. If you are going in the summer it will be hot, very aware and prepared! Also there are large red ants around the area, they didn't bite or bother us but just something to note. Fun for the kids and great place to get a pumpkin. The hay ride was cute to see the whole farm. Not too big but still a cute spot.

We had another great family experience on the farm. We went for "Food Truck Friday" and movie night. Brenda is always so friendly and helpful. They have a lot of activities for the kids. Favorites included the bouncy mat, really fast black tunnel slide, and magnetic darts. My 1.5yr old loved petting the goats until one kept butting her! Most of the animals are safely behind fences, except for a few farm cats that want to clean up after you picnic. The gift shop is great. Lots of cute country items and quality kid toys and activities. The night we went, we got dinner from the fire truck pizza food truck and smoothies from the snack bar. It was all very tasty. After sunset, the movie Sand Lot projected on a big screen on the soccer field. We brought chairs and blankets and Brenda passed out buckets of popcorn. Oma's is missing out on a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge opportunity by not selling beer. We literally talked to 3 other groups of parents who were jonesing as much as we were. That being said, it's totally all about the kiddos here. There's so much for them to do from games to goats to slides to grassy areas. Our 1 year old was pretty much on the baby comparison of an acid trip. Seriously, he was so stimulated we forgot to purchase pumpkins...and that was a good thing. My husband and I took our two boys (2 and 5) for the Dump Trucks and Dozer weekend and they had a blast. They got to go into diggers and excavators, and they also did a demonstration with them, which the boys loved. They went cotton seed sledding, pet the goats, played on multiple different playgrounds, and plays with Tonia trucks in mounds of dirt. It was a blast and as soon as we were leaving the boys asked to go again. They have food and drinks you can get there, but we didn't get anything. We will definitely be back. This is my new favorite out of all the pumpkin patches I've been to (bates, Ramona, pumpkin stations)! I really loved that you didn't have to worry about buying tickets and all games are included in the entrance. You just buy a ticket with optional pumpkin, then just go in and enjoy yourself. Also, very easy parking. At every turn is a new fun little kid activity to do. Really unique, homemade different games that all the kids loved. Very special place and felt like a true gem. I was very happy I tried it and highly recommend. Only cons were 1) barely any food 2) bathroom only on one side of the patch, which is pretty far with a 5 year old when you're on the opposite side. read more
