She was one of several hair/makeup artists recommended by my day-of coordinator. Since I don't live in Miami I had very limited time to do a trial. Niurka was incredibly accommodating, meeting me on a Sunday morning after Christmas to do my trial. She was fantastic through the whole process, explaining everything she was doing step-by-step, taking what I had in mind and improving on it. A few days before the wedding Niurka sent a schedule for myself, my 8 bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my last-minute-addition grandma. Needless to say, we had to start VERY early to have everyone done in time for the First Look pictures. Niurka and her helper were at the hotel on time and ready to go for the first appointment. We quickly fell behind schedule when one of my very particular bridesmaids had issues with her extensions and turned her 30 minute hair appointment into over an hour. Somehow, Niurka still managed to get everyone done on time without sacrificing quality on anyone else's hair or makeup. She and her helper worked 7 hours straight without a break as if it was nothing! But in the end, the bridesmaids and my family looked GORGEOUS. She really hit the nail on the head with the exact look I was going for. Everyone, including myself, still looked like themselves, just a more glammed version. Aside from how good Niurka is with hair and makeup (something you can tell she is truly passionate about), she is also an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very responsive despite the fact that she herself got married the weekend before my wedding! She was incredibly kind and did everything with a smile, even dealing with the previously-mentioned bridesmaid wonderfully, never getting flustered even in a time crunch. Last night they called me to make sure I was coming. I show up for my scheduled appointment , 15 min early, for them to tell me they have to cancel it. Why do you make appointment wait two weeks and to be told only once you show up that they can't take you. And the only option you are given is to either be with someone else ( which you didn't want so you waited the two weeks) or to wait another week. It's so inconsiderate of people time! I scheduled my entire day around this cause I was told it would take a few hours. This is beyond unacceptable and complete disregard of people and their time. My original review a little more thank a week ago was very upsetting and frustrating but I went back this weekend for the new appointment and they did not disappoint. They took good care of me and my hair came out perfect! I was very nervous but Lily was very sweet and she is amazing at what she does. When I arrived, I really had no clue what I wanted - stylist's nightmare, I'm sure. I had had long hair for so long, I couldn't picture myself with any other hairstyle. After clipping off the bleached ends of my mane, Alissa shampooed and conditioned while we chatted a bit about life. (Note, water did make its way down my neck and back during this experience) Alissa had suggested layers framing my face and the rest of my hair - my only concern was I wanted to maintain some length, which she reassured me I would. Snip snip away! 45 minutes and a styling blow dry later, my head was so much lighter. It was crazy. Well, according to friends, it's still long, but I feel the difference. And it feels so strong and healthy. After about 2 weeks, I'm finally used to the feel of the layers. The only note that I had was the location - if your GPS tells you to U-turn at the light, do not! You want to left turn and then turn left again, following the road back until you see a two-story strip mall. It's an awkward location, and in the evening, there is very little lighting around the building and the stairwells. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with my experience at FeNom, and with Alissa. They sent reminder texts to confirm my appointment, and were very accommodating. If you let FeNom know Stacy referred you, we both get a percentage off our services!

I had really short hair and not enough time to take care of it and have 4c natural hair. I was there for a really long time but she did give my hair attention however I did not like it but I thought that it could have just been me. Fast forward to June of this year, I inquired about someone who does knotless plaits, Kurls was recommended. I didn't realize until after I made the appt, paid the deposit that it was at the same salon. I went, asked her if she could blow dry my hair because I didn't have time and didn't want to be late as I know they are on a schedule. When she was blow drying my hair, it felt like she was ripping my hair out she was not gentle at all. The box plaits was just ok to me. I feel like she didn't put a lot Care or attention to my hair and for what it's worth she didn't even take a picture. My tips have a little bleach because my dye was out. It didn't look as full to me, anyway I paid and left, still not impressed especially since her pictures on IG seem to look nice. My third visit was yesterday, to get a BoB. I hesitated to call to speak with her because I just was not impressed with the salon, I did though because several "Master Stylists" told me that they could not do the style. So I broke down and called but she was out the country. I left a message and returned my call, said she could do the style I texted to her. On the phone we discussed prices for braids and crochet, I decided to get crochet. Moving on, she's done braiding my hair, install the crochet braids, THEN says the hair won't bend when she burn the ends!!! WHAT! I'm thinking why and why didn't you mention that earlier? I asked why, she said because synthetic hair doesn't burn like that or bend when you burn it! My next statement was , "I wish I would have known that"! Had I known she couldn't bend the ends like a damn BOB should be I would have went ahead and paid the money for the braids so the style could immulate the picture somewhat. At this point I am pissed but I digress! She goes and burn the ends after trying to tell me it will look nice even the other stylist and her client is like it looks nice, lies! So, I've gotten braids installed several times, I know the girls can burn the ends of synthetic hair to look really clean and slim not BULKY. I'm thinking ok if it doesn't bend then after she burn the ends it will at least be clean, NOT! All she did was burn them and cut the rest now the ends are big and bulky! I know she know my hair was not cute or NOWHERE near what I asked for and I know she knew I was not impressed! Usually, I would say something BUT it was my bday and I did not want to get upset! That is what would hav happened because she did NOT try to fix it or see how it could be made better or anything OR try to make me feel better, she just took my damn money, $95 at that and let me walk out of there a damn mess! With everything going on, COVID, ppl with no jobs, my mom had a stroke, I've been taking care of her, assisting my son in school, I just needed a pick me up and on my BDAY but this is what I get for the money, REALLY! I'm more upset because she did t seem to care that I didn't like it! I will NEVER go back to her. My hair was making me miserable - it was flat, looked oily, dull, etc. So I had decided to chop it all off and mentioned on the phone that I might want some color to which she said no problem and that we would discuss once I saw her. Now, overall I enjoyed my experience. I really appreciated the fact that she was willing to accomodate my wishes and color my hair last minute (after we chopped my hair off). Now, I had just colored my hair black about 3 weeks prior and didnt want a crazy color change just some added dimension with a color we agreed was "mushroom"/ashy brown. She said she would let me know if my hair was lifting okay (I did not want brassy blonde in my hair). After some time passed she said it would be okay. Long story short, I think she overbooked herself from the beginning. She was about 20-30 mins late to take me over to the chair, had someone she was already working on, and had another appointment (came in after me) decide to walk out for 20 minutes while she "finished" working on me. Now with covid happening and given the circumstances I am not complaining about the time and understand businesses need compassion right now. The only issue I have is that I pretty much paid full price, even if it was last minute, for a bit of a rushed result that wasn't entirely what I asked for. Look, the color isn't mushroom and I don't like the way the bangs look. The color on the bangs is brassy, doesn't transition nicely (prob a personal preference thing), and is too much of a contrast from the base color. The blonde on my hair in general looks brassier every day and I knew immediately* after she finished drying my hair that certain parts definitely needed more toning. I did love her coloring technique and again, willingness to go for the look I wanted, she made me feel so much better! I'm giving her 4 stars for a reason! Thank you for that Konstantina. I just could feel her rushing through the last couple of steps which I think led to me not being 100% satisfied given the money I was charged and the time I spent patiently waiting. I can always tell when a hair stylist isnt satisfied with their work when you're the one they don't put up on their instagram that day lol. Moral of the story is to speak up. If I would have said something I'm sure she would have fixed it no problem but I honestly felt bad that she was backed up. I also think as a hair stylist if you know you didnt fully deliver or are rushing you should communicate that to the client and see what the options are. It's the responsibility of the stylist to make sure they have enough time to do what they are agreeing to do for you. I believe she gave me $20 off since it was my first time there so I paid $250 for what I guess is something like a balyage and trim. Overall, I'm happy with the change the color just isn't exactly what I wanted. The bleached hair is dryer than I would like and I'm not happy with the fact that now I'll have to pay more money to have the blonde corrected or toned so early on. Still think she is great! Just wanted to be honest and recommend to not call last minute and to speak up if you need an adjustment on the final product.

I came in to get my tape ins taken out and reinstalled, I also asked for a balayage touch up since my older balayage grew out. When they removed my tape ins, they were not light handed nor gentle. They just pulled and yanked out my extensions and hair. Super painful... I asked for a balayage suzanna (the owner) said she can do it. Instead of painting and blending lines in my hair, she just SLAPS on the bleach and goes as fast as she can, scrunching the foil (causing uneven coloring) "I Took 15 minutes to do a full head on highlights". She said that out loud to her coworker and laughs.. a full head of highlights on long hair should never be less than 15 mins if painted properly..... had my hair washed and blow dried, only to see 4 different tones of blonde!!! 2-3 inches of bright yellow, then orange, then yellow then dark orange... I also had PATCHES IN MY HAIR BECAUSE SHE DID NOT THOROUGHLY APPLY THE BLEACH.. she comes over telling me how beautiful my hair looks. I was so surprised because do you not see the 4 OBVIOUS DIFFERENT SHADES OF BLONDE??? With brown patches in between my bright blondes??? She told me it will look blended once I put my extensions in but I didn't want that, I wanted my hair to look nice even if I did not put extensions in my hair.. She then tells me "why are you so complicated" WOW I said all I want is for my blonde to be one shade, not 4! She ends up toning my hair 4 Times, still, I had uneven non blended hair, big blotchy yellow and orange hair. Had my hair washed and blowed so many times and each time my hair pulled and yanked hard. Suzanna takes 10+ smoke breaks throughout my process . After the 4th toner I ended up leaving without blow drying because at this point I was already there for SIX HOURS I WASTED. I also want to mention I have a bunch of leftover glue from my tape ins still in my hair... you'd think after washing and blow drying my hair 5 times the tape would be noticed and taken off but no.
