I was in Pembroke Gardens and decided spur of the moment that I wanted an inch taken off my hair. I made an appointment for an hour later. I was glad they could get me in so fast. They are now in the Me Spa. Service and haircuts were much better at their former stunning salon. This is not an inexpensive place to get your hair cut but it sure feels like it. The shampoo gal had nothing to say. She did not give me a head massage or put any special effort into making me feel relaxed. Next, was the haircut. The woman who cut my hair took 2 calls and also texted during my haircut with no apologies. Things come up and sometimes you have to be a bit rude...but courteous people apologize. It did not seem like anything important. My haircut was OK. I didn't love it but it wasn't bad either. I think I was there 15 minutes. I just like a nicer experience when I go to a salon. I doubt I will come back here. read more

If zero were an option, that's what is deserved. My first visit for extensions wasn't a negative experience. Jenny appeared experienced. However her coloring skills left my hair a brassy tone. She did a few highlights for my granddaughter who is a natural blonde. They came out brassy orange. When I got home I realized that a lot of my extensions were not placed properly and hair was sandwiched between multiple strips. This is not only painful, it tears your hair out. I made the mistake of returning to the salon. I asked Jenny to fix the "orange" streaks in my granddaughter's hair. She turned a few wispy highlights into two bright yellow chunks, which made her look like Rogue. She removed my extensions and colored my hair. I warned her that the color was off, she was dying over my highlights with a brassy dark gold brown and it was not "my" color. When she put the extensions back in she did not keep track of color or length. There were uneven, mismatched pieces and chunks that made my hair look like it had been chopped through a lawn mower. I asked her to take them out and she did some, removing and replacing them multiple times. Finally she wouldn't remove them at all, insisting she could "fix" it. She created clumped areas on parts of my head where multiple extensions stuck to each other. They pulled my hair out and rubbed my scalp raw. I couldn't brush my hair or even put my glasses on for days. End result, she ruined $1,000 worth of hair. She caused damage to my scalp, my natural hair. To make matters worse, she tried to tell me it was "perfect" as she kept cutting trying to mask the mess she made. Then, she blamed her assistant who had nothing to do with Jenny's inability to color or place extensions. I've never posted a negative review about anyone. This person should never be allowed to do hair. EVER. read more

I spent $410 to get my hair completely ruined by Elizabeth. I was not offered any refund or correction services. I had to speak with the owner and was only given 20% off a new appointment and a complimentary hair treatment. I literally paid to have my hair toned back to the original color. Jenny was so helpful and able to salvage this mess, but I'm so turned off with how unprofessionally this was handled. read more

My mom and I moved to the area a few months ago and man, has it been an ordeal to find a good hairstylist and salon. My mom found Frenzy salon online and decided to try them out. Yesterday was her third and last visit. Elizabeth is good with color but is extremely slow. My mom was at the salon for over 3 hours for partial highlights, root color and trim on her chin length hair. Her previous 2 visits also took about the same amount of time. Our old stylist would take an hour and a half for the same service. She took so long that her next client showed up, and Elizabeth proceeded to tell my mom that she just has to wait. My mom was then left to process her color for 1 hour and 40 minutes! She now has a burned scalp that is super sensitive. Color should never be left on for that long. Poor time management on a stylists part is not the paying customer's problem. If you take that long to work, then you need to see fewer clients. At the end my mom paid $250 for services, and her haircut wasn't even. I saw one side was left with longer pieces sticking out. I used to go to a salon on Newbury street in Boston, and I would pay $240 for partial highlights and cut on my extra long hair, but it would look flawless at the end. The two stars are for the highlights because they came out nice. It just took way too long and the prices are too high for the area. Our search for a hair salon continues. read more

I had my hair cut at Frenzy Salon today. They used to be called Haiir Frenzy. I believe it is still the same owner so I'm not sure why the name changed. It is a nicely decorated place and very clean. I wanted to get a trim and decided to go to this salon because I had not been there in a while. It is conveniently located in Pembroke Gardens. The owner of the salon cut my hair. My whole experience there was fair. I just felt I was not pampered or like it was an experience worthy of the look of this salon. I feel bad for saying this but it is the truth. She was distracted with her children. Hey, I am a mom and remember those days when my daughter was a small child. I just felt my haircut was rushed through because she had to attend to her children twice. Perhaps another employee who was not busy could have entertained them while she was working. I don't know if this happens often but it was a little bit annoying. When I go to a salon, I like to have the attention on me. I'm not there for long and my haircut did not take long. I just don't think it is too much to ask to focus your attention on your customer. Mu former mother-in-law and father-in-law owned a hair salon so I have some insight into how customers should be treated. I am pretty satisfied with my haircut but do not think the experience justifies the price. read more

Despite the negative reviews, I made an appointment for my first curly cut at this salon and I am not disappointed . Upon arrival the receptionist was very friendly- she greeted me right away and checked me in. Mosella was very nice and helped me understand how to better take care of my wavy/curly hair. I had a very positive experience. I will definitely come back. I've been going to Jennifer for years. She never just does my hair. She always does 3/4 peoples hair while doing me.. she charges me $500 for a root touchup and to move extensions up, a simple wash no style, no toner or nothing crazy. Third attempt at getting the cut I wanted here and I am calling it quits. I went to Frenzy Salon a few months ago asking for my hair to be cut straight through (no layers, just a straight cut). The stylist agreed. When I left, the front of my hair was significantly longer than the back. I went back the following weekend for it to get fixed, and the stylist agreed again. When she was done, she asked me what I thought, and again, the front was longer. When I told her she agreed and said that she could not cut it straight (why she didn't tell me this from day one is beyond me). I left upset, especially when they tried to charge me to get this cut fixed. I came back a few months later because I was very tired of my hair looking as it did. I saw a different stylist this time and asked for the same cut. I asked for the SAME cut again and explained the situation from before. She agreed that the front was way longer than the back. I was a first time customer and...I am so impressed! And SUCH a satisfied customer! From the moment I walked in, they were very hospitable offering wine, tea, or water to their clients. Master stylist, color specialist, and balayage guru Mel, knew exactly how to get the color I wanted (see before/after pic attached). She encouraged me to use the Olaplex with color to keep my hair looking healthy and I'm so glad I listened. She did such a great job. I had done tons of research online and finally found @hairbyMellll at Hair Frenzy who seemed to create the exact honey color I was looking for. She made me leave that place feeling like my hair came out of a Victoria's Secret catalog! Wow! This is my official new hair place! Carlos is hands down the best hair stylist I've ever had. I've had a lot of poor experience with hair stylists in the past, but when I found Carlos a few years ago, I never had a bad haircut again. Even when I'm not sure exactly what I want with my hair, I never leave his chair unhappy. Even now, I don't live in south Florida anymore; I've since moved to Atlanta, and I only get my hair cut when I come down to visit family, because I don't plan on letting anyone else cut my hair for a long time. First, I do LOVE my hair and Patricia did a wonderful job. That being said, I asked for a partial balayage and got charged for a full. I also saod that I did not want a blow dry or cut (it was raining!!!) and got charged for a dry that I was told was my stylist's "gift" since I wanted to walk out with wet hair. So extremely irritated!! I even showed the receptionist a message from the manager saying that they would take my new client discount, and was still over-charged. Takeaways: Cute salon, terrible mall parking, and you will most likely be overcharged. ***Update: The manager contacted me and was able to refund the amount that I was overcharged. She was very pleasant and apologetic, which made up for the terrible experience with the receptionist. read more

The third picture is what I told them I wanted and they left me with these bright red and very yellow thick strands of hair. I was extremely disappointed and contacted the owner to get a refund because there was no way I was going to pay $270 for that horrible disaster they did to my hair. She was very rude over the phone and gave me a lot of attitude and hung up on me while I was talking. I was able to get a refund of $208 at least. I had also gotten a haircut, which I doubt a hair cut is $60 and if it was, that's a rip off. I'm just glad I was able to get most of my money back though. However, I am most definitely not going back. By the way, the owner did this to my hair. You'd think she would be the one to do the best job at it, but clearly not the case. Today was my first time there for a last minute blow dry that didn't turn out completely awful. But I've never had a less relaxing salon experience. The lady who washed my hair was great but my stylist Jennifer not so much. Although she was super nice she was super rough with my head, ripped through my knots through our the whole blow dry and even made me hold my own hair up. After going to another salon that treated me like they were doing me a favor ( Maggie s hair salon) , I finally tried another and glad I did . I found Jennifer at Frenzy. Always on time, I never wait for my appointments , always makes you feel comfortable and your hair looks gorgeous. I like low maintenance hair and not being ruled by hair tools. The last time I was here I was with Hayley, who by the way no longer works at Frenzy Salon. She did an awful job on my hair. The toner she used made my hair gray at the top and medium blonde towards the bottom. My coworkers were shocked at what an awful job did she did and took pictures to show me the back of my hair. I was so mortified. This salon has high turnover and I was stuck with Hayley for a year before she did the awful job. Prior to Hayley I was with another stylist named Jennifer that left in late 2020 and another forgettable one in 2019. I guess since Hayley knew she was leaving she just decided to do the bare minimum with my hair. I honestly would not recommend unfortunately. read more

I went in today for the first time to get a cut and blow. They offer a promotion for first time customers where you receive a free cut with the purchase of a service +$30. The staff are really friendly and offered beverages while I waited. Adelma did a fantastic job with my cut and blowout. She takes her time to make sure everything is just right and doesn't cut around the corner. I am very picky with my hair cuts and I was very pleased with my hair. I have been coming to this place since they opened up. It is a nice salon with a good atmosphere. They offer many different services for hair, nail and skin care. The first couple of times I have been there, I had a good experience. I have gotten cuts, dye jobs, blow dry, mani/pedi and never had a complaint. There were just a little tweeks that I would do. I am not a Spanish speaker, unfortunately, and I can understand that people from Spanish speaking countries would rather have conversations in Spanish vs. English. But when you have an English only speaking customer, don't ignore them and continue conversations in Spanish with other customers and co-workers. I feel that if I am in your chair, I should be acknowledged. It can get rather uncomfortable, especially since I am not understanding half of the their conversation. It was only this last time that I saw my regular hairdresser that I got a little disappointed. I had asked for a quick trim, nothing more, not even a blow dry. I have never felt so rushed before. It was snip, snip, snip, okay you're done. I understand it was the end of the day, but I would like a little bit of customer service and feel welcomed in to get the services that I asked for. I paid and walked out that door. I don't think I will be coming back anymore. I have had some good services here, but I think I would like to find a place that has better customer service. read more

Mosella melted my hair!!!!! She put a hot straightener to my bleached hair!!!! Melted my hair. I will never forget this horrible experience. A stylist should never put a hot straightener to delicate bleached hair. I would never in my life recommend her. I'm scarred and have had to get really expensive extensions to hide the damage she caused my hair. My hair was down my back and half my head melted off and broke off al the way to my ears.
