Fast and honest business. Came to get a smog check. There were a few cars ahead of me but they were done in around 15 minutes each. He is a one man show so please be patient! This place is a first come first serve shop. You may come when it's slow, but don't expect your car to be done right away on a busy day. The cost was so affordable than the last place I visited that charged over 100$. He charges 65$ for cars older than mid 2000's!! Great place, hard honest working owner! read more

01/09/26- Needed smog for two of my vehicles (2002 Lancer and 2010 Traverse) and waited until Andy is back after a few days of his shop being closed last December. Despite of some days that his shop was closed, during that time- he still managed to update his hours via yelp and google plus he answers phone calls. I was not left wondering as to why. Greeted upon arrival and same excellent service after years of coming here. I see how he treats his customers, new or old coming by. He can get busy at times, but the quality of service never fails. Just let Andy know as soon as you arrive, so that he can tell you your place in line and estimated wait time. Still the best price around here. He meticulously inspects, does the smog test and never complacent. Very respectful and calm. Guess who won for the 2025 Voted Best Smog Station in Solano County? None other than AO Smog. He may not get the 2023 and 2024 1st place but 1st Runner Up for those two consecutive years. That's also a good thing to give others a chance to win. But since 2017 (I believe) and rest of the years including 2025 were all won by AO Smog, hands down! And that's when people vote in Times Herald on who's the best. I never voted- but yet, he is still the clear winner! I have been coming here and I am proud to say that he has not changed a bit and always a pleasant experience. Looking for a cheap, fast and honest smog location go see Andy at AO Smog right next to the after hours. He was quick with only one person ahead of me and he was fast no more than about 30 minutes for the actual smog itself and my price was $39.00 out the door no tax. You really can't beat that. I will be referring others to his shop as I think it was the best out of all 4 smog locations I visited with ALL had higher prices and much longer wait times. I had to do Smog Certification on my car to renew my license so I called AO Smog at 10:30am when this business open and was told $60 and he told me to come now so I rushed there in 5 minutes. When I got there, there was already someone in shop so I parked my car and walked over to him to let him know that I called earlier and he said I will be next so wait in the car. To make story short, I was not the next person to be served. Somewhere somehow, SUV was next and the another truck. I waited over 1 hour (no explanation of my wait time and I was told rudely SUV is next you parked your car there) and decided not to have my business with AO Smog. I went to go SG SMOG instead and guess what, the price was way cheaper and done in like 15~20minutes? or maybe less and they were a lot more friendly and no confusion as to who is next. After doing my research on where to get my car smogged, I came across this business. The filipino flag was what intrigued me since I am full filipino. I called to double check that the $29 + $8 certificate special was still available, and it was. I had to wait a little, but the business is first come first serve, so I couldn't complain. I also forgot to bring my registration that the DMV sent me, and he was happy to use my old registration to accept my smog. This place is the LOWEST price from what I looked at in Vallejo. My brother paid $80, while I only paid HALF. I will definitely be telling my family to come here! read more

Very dirty and dangerous location with too many cars, no clear signage and broken glass and other debris on the grounds. Pricing is a nickel and dime approach with Andy who was clearly in a terrible mood if all the positive reviews are to be believed. Takes credit cards but it's an additional fee - either you gladly accept them or you don't accept them but arguing with a customer is poor business practice. Claiming Yelp prices aren't real (when your Yelp was updated by the business owner that same week) is weak. Also, his pricing is no where near the cheapest but his customer service is definitely the lowest. read more
