Dr. Marchman took such amazing care of our senior dog when he became very sick. She was incredibly loving--not only toward him, but also toward us during an extremely difficult time. She gave honest, professional advice while still keeping our broken hearts in mind, and we always felt she truly cared. She took the absolute best care of our boy until he could no longer be with us, and when it came time to let him go, she made the entire process as gentle and comforting as possible. Her compassion made an unbearable moment just a little easier. Her entire team, from her assistant to everyone up front, was so thoughtful and supportive. They love my Pepper! They don't try to take advantage of us by giving us options. But my favorite thing is her bedside manner. Our previous vet made us drop off our dog and did all of their work behind the scenes. But here they actually sit down with our dog and perform the physical. If you have a sick pet and are within a 30 mile radius of this Vet, you can not go wrong. We have a new kitten who had an issue with what 2 other vets had diagnosed as pnomonia. We were at our wits end and decided to get a third opinion. The staff and doctors here were amazing. After doing a thorough examination they determined it was a polyp in her nose. They did surgery same day and we had her home all better the very next day. Fast forward to Thursday. Our kitten has been having stomach issues for a few days. They took her right in and kept her over night and took excellent care of her. The most amazing part outside of the service they provide is the cost. O was expecting a bill that would be double what I paid. This is the only place I will ever take our pets. read more

I do NOT recommend this vet. Took my 2 dogs and cat in for their yearly check-up and shots. The bill was over $750.00. Just to bathe my cat was $60.00. I was in total shock. You need to take out a loan before going to see them. Highway robbery. One of the girls there said we have this certain medication here, I can give it to you, her giving it to me cost $110.00. That's not giving, that is buying. I will NOT go again. I only gave 1 star because it would not let me post the review without a star. So they get NO stars from me. read more

I had a very sick dog, Sasha-they did a lots of tests, which they never communicated to me how much they would cost. I walked out with a sick dog and a bill over $300. My dog died weeks later, I had her their again and still no results of what was wrong with her. I DON'T recommend this vet. read more

Unfortunately I hit a dog with my car. I had never been to Summit Chase before, but it was close to work and open so I took the dog there to be examined. The staff and Dr. Ellis were absolutely amazing. They did everything in their power to find the owners of the dog and they all acted with the greatest professionalism and compassion. Even though Dr. Ellis had never seen this dog before, it seemed like she had been treating her for years. I was very impressed and would definitely take my own pets to this clinic. my experience this morning that I had with my veterinarian #Dr Marchman of 15+ years at #SummitChaseAnimalHospital was devastating . She has been an awesome veterinarian, caring, and honest and I truly hope that she sees this and will reach out to me. I had to put one of my dogs down this morning and I was on my way to her office and called to let them know I was on my way. The girl that answered the phone said they were booked up and couldn't see me. I asked her if she heard me correctly and that I needed to have my dog put down. She said yes, but she can't see you today. I asked if Dr Marchman was there and she said she didn't come in until 8:00. I asked if she could call her because she has never turned me or anyone one away to have an animal put down and she said she could not do that. So I went to Walton Gwinnett Animal clinic and they took us right in and we're caring and compassionate. After everything was done I went to Dr Marchman's office to talk to her because I just knew that is not the way she was. I wanted to talk to directly to make sure this is not the way she treats her patients especially in this situation. I went in and asked to see Dr Marchman and was asked if I had an appointment. I said I just want to talk to Dr Marchman about how I was treated this morning. At this point I was still calm and collected. He husband Troy was very rude and said I would not be seeing her today so I asked for my records. At that point he said they were his records and not mine and I had to pay for them. Now this is when I got upset and did show a little anger but never once in this whole incident did I get rude, cuss or get violent and I recorded the incident so I have proof of how I was treated. I really hope this is not the way Dr Marchman is doing business and treats her patients now and will call me. Either way I have never heard of a veterinarian turning someone away to have an animal that is suffering and in pain euthanized. Her front Staff and husband should not be there treating someone that way. I will say this, after seeing her and her staff for so many years that this is completely out of character for them. Mellissa and Dr Marchman have never been this way that I know of towards anyone. It now makes me wonder if this is how they treat someone that has been so loyal and referred so many patients to her, how are they with the animals when we aren't around. I'm am in complete total shock. I also would add that if her husband was "protecting" her I would have been more than happy to have him there in the room with us. I'm not a violent person and would never assault anyone that wasn't trying to hurt myself or someone else. I'm sure I looked agitated but by no means was I hostile or rude. It is 1:30 and Dr Marchman has not returned my call. I really am shocked at this because it is totally out of character for her. I love my dogs and spent thousands of dollars not just one or two with her on my last Boxer fighting cancer. I wasn't going to post reviews until I heard from and was hoping it would end on a good note and she would apologize for being turned away and her husbands behavior. But since she will not take my call I will post this on every social media outlet. read more

We just moved to the area and were looking for a vet for our Aussie. We chose this place for convenience to our home and also after looking at reviews online. I was very impressed! The staff was very friendly and the vet (I can't remember her name) spent a lot of time with me and my dog. She informed me of things that are prevalent in the area to watch for (mainly mosquitoes). She also spent time talking to me about where we moved from, things to do in the area and more! Usually I feel like the docs are rushed, but not this time. After this experience I decided to make an appointment with the in-house groomer and am hoping for the same experience. read more

Super nice staff, good hours for availability and reasonable prices!

We have had nothing but great experiences with Summit Chase. They have cared for our older cat, Gabby, for the past few years, and now care for our kitten Zappa as well. They are always very friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, everyone who works there genuinely seems to love animals. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but there is no doubt they know what they are doing. Both cats have been in for checkups and minor illnesses, and Gabby had surgery there to remove some growths from her skin. The best recommendation comes from Gabby herself...she is a pretty high-strung cat and gets very anxious and cries a lot when going places in her carrier. For some reason, every time we walk through the door at Summit Chase, she settles down and relaxes. She's had other vets, and this is the first place I've seen her calm down that much. Maybe they're pumping kitty Valium into the air? ;-) I would recommend Summit Chase to anyone! read more

The Doctor and staff at Summitt chase Animal Hospital are awesome. They truly love animals and their jobs. Our dogs love coming and they dont cower in the corner when it is time to be seen. The prices on products (flea meds etc) meet other prices like (petmeds). They Rock, Try them out! read more

I absolutely love my vet, Dr. Linda Marchman. She's REALLY there 4 u when you have ER'S or something serious. She knows what it's like 2 love those little suckers like your children. She plays it off very well if she doesn't. When my baby got something in his eye I went and saw a temp vet since she was off but immediately sch a follow up with her that Monday. I had Thor but was going 2 be very late so I called 2 resch 4 the following day but she refused and said she'd wait. K got there about 1 1/2 after closing, she took 1 look& sd get him 2 this pl tonight or risk him losing the eye. She is very honest & drove 2 Athens 2 x's to consult w/spec so she could translate. Had she accepted the reschedule thor would've lost his eye, no doubt. He had 3 wks round the clk care N ICU @ Athens & when he came home it was almost the same thing. I called her crying & scared & she offered 2 take care of the drops, etc, for free until I was ok. She helped me get pregnant (my female) , was with me when that ultrasound showed a heartbeat. I know this is long but if it convinces even 1 person 2 see her then it's worth it. There is no easy or small way 2 describe how great she is. She's also one of the few who doesn't throw scripts @ u. Savings is her motto. She may not be the cheapest or most expensive but she does her best to help u out but just knowing she's there @ anytime is peace of mind. How do u put a price on that? While I'm at it, on the tenth anniv of ,9/11/11. There were 6 healthy pups, 2 of which are mine.....thank u Dr.Marchman & staff. You all are FABULOUS! read more
