I've never waited 24 hours for a response from Ty. He has expansive knowledge of Houston and surrounding areas. I am a native Houstonian and have lived here over 30 years off and on so I've never known anyone who knew more about Houston that myself. That is until I met Ty. Further, don't just think that you will get a list of apartments and then you're on your own. Nope. When things don't go just as expected, Ty will still be there in any way that he can. Yes. Just because he's provided his recommendations, it doesn't stop there. Your new apartment property throws you a curve ball or something else comes up unexpectedly, you CAN call TY and he will try to help as best he can! I have no room for complaints when it comes to Ty! I had a real tough time finding an apartment on my own. I caved and asked around till 2 of my friends led me to Apartment World and that's when I got with Ty. We both agreed that my case was one of the trickiest considering I had no job but an inheritance as my only proof of income, and knowing Texas, you need a job to be able to get an apartment because an inheritance doesn't seem good enough. But I digress, Ty made it happen for me within a week, while it took me months with no damn luck. I got the apartment of my dreams downtown and im happy. I barely had to lift a finger while Ty did all the searching and interviewing. I gave him my price range, what I was looking for EXACTLY, and he went straight to work THAT VERY DAY! You want a high rise, he'll get you one nicer than you can possibly imagine. A townhouse in a good neighbor, he knows a good one with great schools nearby. Ty Counts is such a reliable and knowledgeable person to work with. He has a set of procedures to find you the best apartment. You just have to trust him and follow his instructions. He will do the following things for you: 1. Find the safe area based on crime reports (he will email it to you). 2. Tell you how to rate apartments based on his formula. 3. List apartments that are within the safe area and your price. 4. Offer you an option of sending emails to apartment rental people so that they are notified of your interest in apartment. Theoretically, they should call you back (and they do! Not all of them, but some do!) Based on my experience, Ty Counts is such a great guy to work with. He will also answer your concerns and questions regarding any kinds of apartment problem (like which apartment is better A or B? Pet policy? public transportation? etc.). Yet, I would also recommend to look for apartments on your own based on the apartment list he offered you. Don't just rely on apartment people calling you, but either call them or visit the apartments on your own! At least that's how I found it in the end. Ty Counts is marvelous. I hadn't moved in many years, and I had never used an apartment locator before, so I was a bit apprehensive about my upcoming hunt for a new apartment. I moved in on 7/3/2019. I also read reviews before moving in. The ones I read seemed to focus on parking and management, especially Lauren. My leasing agent was Stephanie who was very nice and actually kept me informed throughout the process. Since I was informed by Stephanie that residents were assigned one space for parking, I opted to purchase additional parking. The only issue I have with parking is that some of the resident's guest will try to park in your space. However, with this complex you actually can call the tow company yourselves and request a car to be towed. I love my unit and I think I pay the price the area warrants. The complex is kept very clean and quiet. I reside in phase 2 and have never walked through phase 1, so I cannot speak on those units. I love my unit and never had any issues with noise from neighbors. The one maintenance request I made was answered very quickly. I guess the only issue I had was that it took a month to get the dwello installed and it really isn't worth it. You can make your unit smart on your own for a lot cheaper!!! Prior to calling him, I had spent days trying to find an apartment in Houston on my own and was very anxious about things like being in a good area, not getting ripped off, and not signing a lease at an apartment complex that was known (except to me) to be bad. In the first phone call with Ty, he made all my worries disappear. He took the time to explain to me the Houston area and he answered questions I had before I even asked them; he is just that good! can't say enough good things about Ty Counts. When I first moved from New York to Conroe, Texas at 20 years old, I had no credit and no idea how renting even worked. A manager recommended Ty, and he got me approved for an apartment when I honestly didn't think it was possible. I ended up living there for four years. Later on, my situation became even more complicated. Ty is a Houston apartments guru (who has the experience and knowledge to back it) with a refreshing* and professional demeanor. I contacted him about five months ago to assist us with locating a place and within three days he had gathered our "requirements", sent a map of Houston explaining crime areas we may not have been aware of, tailored a list of numerous locations that met our specifications, and emailed inquiries to the complexes to weed out the ones with availability. Ty was such an amazing guy to work with! I recently moved to Houston from out of state and knew nothing about the area, neighborhoods, what to look for, and what to stay away from. In our initial phone call Ty was very thorough, asked great questions that made both of our jobs easier. He explained the difference in rent certain amenities would mean and really knows his stuff. He generated a list of apartments that fit my needs on budget, location, and amenities. Ty was a life saver. I moved to Houston for a new job, but because of the distance I was moving (several hundred miles), I didn't have much opportunity to visit apartment complexes. Let me tell you, his high rating is hard earned and well deserved. Within a few days, he had a list of apartments that met my needs (handicapped accessible, pet friendly, first floor) and an area that is safe, but within close distance to work and entertainment. When I called Ty I was scrambling to find a place last minute. The housing we thought we had lined up fell through days before our move. Ty dropped everything, worked his magic, and had a list of apartments for me to check out that fit my criteria that day. Over the next couple of days while my boyfriend and I looked at apartments, Ty checked in with phone calls and texts to see how we were doing. He even worked his magic a second time generating a new list with new criteria when we decided we might want a smaller place.
