We had been shopping all day and on our way to our car when we passed this store on our way out the entrance. As we walked in the lady on the counter was busy helping a customer, but she did acknowledged us. It's a tiny store, but very efficient. We started to check out their sunglasses. For a tiny store...it seemed like there's sooooo many choices!!! Lol. Another person came out of the office and started giving us choices. They had more stock in back. Great lady with an eye for perfection!! My better half ended up picking up a sweet pair of Maui Jim's! I guess times have changed. Our old pair was 27 years old and was still in great condition. Technology has passed us on! These new pair really did the trick!! Wore it home and I was told it really blocked the sun out!! As for the two ladies working...they were extremely nice and helpful. Knocked off a star for being so darn expensive and no sale price. Especially when Mother's Day being around the corner. Not even a free eye glass cleaning kit. You get that when you buy prescription ones!! Not the worker's fault. The store should give customer appreciation type of thing! If there had been some sort of a price break...We would have bought a second pair!! Oh well! read more

I had purchased some sunglasses at a sunglasses hut in Southern CA and scratched them on my way to Sacramento. I asked the clerk at this store if I could trade them in for a replacement pair under their 90 day warranty. She told me that I'd need to pay half the price of a new pair and that there is no full refund under the 90 day warranty. She was very abrupt and snotty when we spoke. So I waited until I got home and took the sunglasses back to the Sunglasses hut where I bought them and received A FREE REPLACEMENT PAIR, no questions asked. My advice, go to Southern CA for sunglasses. Definitely not this place! read more

You know how you have good and bad experiences with companies you do business, this company definitely is the company you will never want to spend your money with, if theses a problem they begin by saying they have no regional manager, and that their policies are definitely not for their customers. My wife spent over $400 on sunglasses as a birthday gift and within two months the first time a lens fell out of the frame and the sending time the lens cracked under pressure from the bad metal design of the glasses, now sunglasses hit is telling me they will charge me a 100 repair fee, Basically now they are saying I have no recourse wow read more

Two weekends ago was the first visit for me at the Sunglass Hut in Arden Fair Mall. I would've given them 5 stars except they didn't have a vast selection to choose from as Solstice does which is where I normally go to for sunglasses. I decided to stop by after looking for a new pair online for the last few weeks. I had my eye on a particular pair of Ray Bans that were both polarized and gradient, but didn't want to order online without trying them on first. When I arrived one of their employees found me and helped me out right away and not once was he pushy. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he knew right away which pair they were. He brought it out from the back since they were one of the newest ones in their latest collection and the store hadn't had a chance to display them yet. Once I tried them on I got compliments from other customers standing nearby so that was all the re-confirmation I needed to buy them. And since they had a buy 2 pairs (1 had to be polarized) and save $40 I ended up walking out with a pair of Ray Bans for myself and 1 to give to my uncle for Father's Day. Don't forget to keep your receipt. I was told that if your sunglasses break or need replacement within its first year you can buy another pair for half the price of what you originally paid. Really recommend this place if you're looking for a great pair of sunglasses. I'll be returning here for sure. read more

Let me explain why, after 25 years of buying RayBans and other $200-plus sunglasses at Sunglass Hut, I have spent my last dime with this company. My daughter dropped her RayBans and broke a lens. We had purchased them a year earlier at another Hut, and she went to the Arden Fair store for help. The first time, they blew her off. Second time, she got a helpful clerk, who told her quite helpfully how to order new lenses from the company and return with them to be fitted. She did, and when they arrived took them to the Hut to have one popped back into the frames. Sorry, she was told. Go bother Lenscrafters. She did. They fixed the glasses like new for free. Worst retail experience EVER! This evening (8pm) I attempted to return a pair of Oakley Sunglasses that I purchased several days ago at the Sunglass Hut in Napa. My sister convinced me that the blue reflective lenses looked great on me. They look better on her, but I purchased them anyway. I tried them for my husband when we returned home. He said that they were not a good look for me. We had a dinner date this evening in Sacramento, so he suggested we drop by the Sunglass Hut at Arden and return the space cadet sunglasses. When the salesgirl asked if she could help me, I handed her the glasses case and receipt. I explained that I wanted to return them. She removed them from the case and fabric pouch, looked at them, and said okay. She asked if I wanted and exchange pair. I told her I would come back another day, as it was late and I did not want my husband to have to wait for me to decide on another pair. It was then, that she picked up the glasses, wiped them off and then informed me that she saw an imperfection on the lenses. I was dumbfounded and told her that I had never worn them and that I did not see any thing wrong with them. I asked her to show me the imperfection and she could not come up with anything. She then switched to saying that she could NOT take a return, because her manager was not in the store. We left immediately and drove to the Vacaville Sunglass Hut, where we were greeted by Amanda. She was helping several other customers, but soon asked if we needed help. I again told her my desire to return the Oakley sunglasses that I had purchase several days earlier. She said fine, took them out of the case and pouch and wiped them off. She said they looked fine and happily refunded my purchase price. IN SHORT, I WOULD NEVER SHOP AT THE ARDEN FAIR STORE. It is obvious that they hire people that are dishonest or blind. I don't care to shop at the Arden Fair Mall as it is, and this is one more strike against it. This place rocks! On Easter, I woke up to find that I had misplaced my sunglasses. I always put them in the same place and couldn't imagine where they must be. I searched high and low and no sunglasses! I braved the blinding sunlight without my shades. I realized that I must have left them at work the night before. That's the only place they could be! Of course, I had to lose them on a day when all the stores were closed for Easter. I was ready to buy a new pair anyway. I got through 24hrs without my sunglasses and luckily found my Maui Jim's at work as I thought. However, I decided that that CAN'T happen again and that I must have a backup pair. I remembered that I had 2 gift cards that I got for Christmas 2010 and decided to visit here, after work. I was instantly greeted by a happy sales rep. She took notice as soon as I entered the store, even thought there were other customers she was already helping. She engaged in conversation with me and made me feel welcome. I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn't sure. She made it quick and painless and helped me make a decision by asking investigative questions. I'm in sales, so I definitely appreciate a sales person who's passionate about their work, like she is. I didn't make a note to remember her name and I'm almost inclined to go back to the store just to get her name to include in this review but, after looking at my receipt, it says that she is Associate # 460248. This girl deserves a raise, a promotion or both! I will definitely be back specifically to this location because of the fabulous customer service. In fact, instead of having just 2 pairs of sunglasses, I'm thinking of starting a "collection" because there are two other pairs I really like and want! I ended up with a sporty pair of Ray Ban's that I really like! I cant wait for the sun to return so I can really put them to use. Daz-Shaunna and Jade are the best! These two girls are very helpful, kind, and respectful. I bought a pair of Maui Jim's (without a frame) and had them for 3 days. As I wore them, I found out that I needed a darker lens and a different style. I called the store and Jade cheerfully said, "Bring 'em in. We can exchange them and find something else that works." When I arrived at the store, I introduced myself and she immediately knew who I was and what my issue was. She found a pair that fit me, met my needs, and looked good on me! I was a happy customer! These girls are great because they were respectful of my price range and didn't try to sell me anything over my stated price. No hard sale, just kind assistance. Their sunglasses range in price from inexpensive to ultra high-end. I love my Maui Jim's... they're awesome!!! I would highly recommend these girls to anyone and everyone! Worst experience at a retail store ever. I bought sunglasses at the folsom location and they did not have the original case for the glasses and I bought anyways. The girl at the folsom location wrote a note on the receipt saying that she gave me a difference case just in case I wanted to return them. I went into the arden location and the lady at the register named MARGARET was very rude. She was racist and thought the glasses I had were fake because I did not have the right case for them. It took her about 3 minutes to realize that I was at the register and needed help. I had the or original receipt for my glasses and they were unworn with the case. I explained to her that the girl at the other location couldn't find the original case for the glasses (they were on clearance) and showed her the note on the receipt. She continued to call the store to verify and even asked this other lady if she thought my glasses were fake. Overall the experience made me so upset and uncomfortable. I hope the management at this place will get better at this location. read more

Everytime I come into this place everyone has been very helpful. I came in one day in search for a specific type of framework by Ray Bans. They checked through their system and couldn't find the product because it had been discontinued. They could of easily told me they didn't have and offered me something similar. Yet I was firm with what I wanted. They went above and beyond in calling other Sunglass Huts to help me save time and gas in my search. Fortunately for me they did find the pair at a different store. They offered two options have it get sent over to that sunglass hut and it taking the next day to get there or I can get the item placed on hold go to them. Sure enough I went to this other location and made the purchase there. I found what I wanted and was very satisfied with their service. After purchasing my new pair of Ray Bans I felt like I bought the last pair on Earth after much search through the web and other sunglass stores. read more
