Freestyle is just around the corner from my apartment. I always find cute stuff with expected, and I got money for some of my favorite clothing that doesn't fit anymore. I've gone out of it. There's always cold. It displays really fun ambience -- every time I go, I always have a blast at one of my favorite stores. I happened to walk in the other day during an orange and pink tag sale! All of that was 50 percent off! The thing is most of those items were already so overpriced! The people that work here are alright. They have dressing rooms- although sometimes they aren't open.. which makes no sense. A friend had told us about this place to sell your clothes that are in good condition. My daughter called to make sure they she even watched a video to see the process because it was our first time doing this. She followed all their requirements in order to be able to accept the clothes she even rewashed all the clothes just to make sure. The guy Camron said they can only take a bag we had a full laundry basket to which my daughter rep oh ok np that's fine then we filled a bag they gave us to put the clothes in as soon as they heard us speak in Spanish he said they where going to look through the clothes and pick what iteams they want to which my daunted again with a big smile rep ok sounds good thank you so much they guy said we can stick around or if we wanted to leave and come back. We stayed looked around and came back to the counter and asked if it was ready like 45 min after and he said yes and that unfortunately they didn't take ANYTHING to which I was very mad yet try to stay cool I then put the clothes back in the basket where we had brought it in and noticed the clothes were ALL STILL FOLDED just like how we had put them in the bag THEY DIDNT EVEN LOOK THROUGH THE CLOTHES still don't know if they where just LAYZY or RACIST?! My 1 star goes specifically to their customer service. I brought bags of clothes for sale, all nicely ironed and folded, but after having the group go through the bag I got back with the rejected clothes were all jumbled up and thrown in with absolutely zero care. I was clearly bothered by this and proceeded to ended up folding the clothes myself prior to leaving - I made a note to the associate at the counter, only to get a "yah, we're just so busy..!" Rule #1 of running a business = treat your people as you want to be treated. If the public is your source of goods that you resell, the least you can do is treat those with the same level of respect you expect in return. Absolutely not going back to this place. read more

Definitely don't go here to sell. I have learned my lesson. It's a cool shop to buy and find cool things from for sure (a bit pricy) but like got a nice pair of shoes from here. But I went to sell a nice vintage jacket, some climbing pants (both of which barely used and they took) and some other items they didn't and they gave me $9.45. I left feeling empty and lowkey missing the items cause I know they will sell they for $$$$. But I'm glad to have more room in my closet I guess??? I will say the person who took the items was super nice and informative when they took the clothes which was nice. Absolutely love this store for the enormous selection of vintage clothing, shoes and accessories. They have all styles of shoes it's like a candy store and beautifully displayed. The clothes are well organized with shirts, skirts and pants separated and labeled with the size. Prices are extremely affordable I almost want to keep this place a secret. I've been coming to Freestyle for a while now to thrift and sold for the first time today! Before selling, I went online to read their policies and gauge what they're interested in buying for the upcoming winter/fall season. I called with some follow up questions and received prompt service. I learned that Freestyle buys everyday but there's a capacity for same day turnaround so it's recommended to come early. I did just that, and I was third in line by opening. Customer service in person was helpful and informative and by the time I was leaving, the line was outrageously long. Fortunately for same day pick up, I could pick up anytime after 1pm. Freestyle bought five items from me for $25 cash, and I appreciated the option to exchange for either cash or a higher value store credit. Very nice customer service until you don't sell them your own items for a extremely low price, I know they need to make profit and run a business but I tried to sell over 20 items and I was offered $57 for 4 brand new Kurt Geiger and they retail for $100 and over it makes sense why they don't give out itemized receipts plus three other items that were included for that extremely low price when I didn't agree I said I wasn't going to sell the stuff, they didn't even know what they had took. Freestyle is a fun spot to browse around. I love that they welcome so many different styles if selection. It's pretty organized as well! You will find items organized by size and garment. They also have some accessories as well, although not nearly as much compared to their clothing. The staff is super friendly! They have fitting rooms to help feel confident in your purchase (they don't take returns or exchanges). It can get really busy at this location, especially during the weekend. Parking can be a bit of a struggle sometimes too, only street parking is nearby. I would encourage you to not let that steer you away, finding parking is worth it! Something I noticed is they can be a bit pricey for the selection. I sometimes find Shein or non-branded items and they are priced at $10+. This place never buys any of my good quality clothing and when they do, they only offer a few dollars for it. I understand that maybe we don't have the same style but when I look on the rack, there's Shein, Target, etc. that is stained and stretched out. I truly do not understand the buyers here because there are some hideous pieces of clothing on the rack that sit there every week I'm here but they don't buy my new with tags Calvin Klein coats, brand new Vans, etc. Crossroads is much better at quality control and offers you more for your clothing. Rude service for people who are trying to sell. They have no consistency in what they buy from you. I've tried to go multiple times in hopes for a sale and still nothing. Yet they will have plenty of Ross shein clothes, dry rot clothing, some things with holes and despite the fact EVERYTHING is secondhand don't expect them to mark any prices down. My friends and I stopped in to browse without any particular items in mind. The clothes are separated by type of clothing as well as size. Even with this organization it will take some patience and digging to really look around and see what's available. You'll also notice that some items will be mixed around in the wrong sections, so you may want to looks outside your normal size just in case. They had a bunch of clearance clothes in the back along with purses and I found a Fossil Crossbody bag that I really liked for $28. I did check in on Yelp and used their 10% off one item check-in offer, it was a nice little extra savings. So far I love my second hand bag and the price seemed pretty reasonable considering how expensive new bags can be. The staff was nice at checkout, but they seemed pretty busy working on trade ins. I'm a fan of all the Freestyles around the area so finally got around to checking this out. It's a good spacious interior and had a large selection of men's clothes. The women's section is also large. I found that they had a really good selection of vintage items which is always good. Large selection of women's dresses and they're arranged in a way that makes it easy to browse. Same with tops. I had a pleasant experience browsing everything and managed to walk away with some nice items from brands I liked at great prices. I will never do business here again. I walked in with two bags of clothes and multiple pairs of shoes in boxes, ready to donate. Before bringing everything in, I asked the girl at the counter if she wanted the shoes left in the boxes or taken out. She told me they could not overfill the top of the laundry basket, so I went back outside, removed all the shoes from their boxes, laid them flat so they wouldn't spill out, and brought the basket back in. She watched me do all of this. Then after all that effort she suddenly decides to tell me I had "too much stuff to donate in one day" and that I'd have to come back tomorrow. I asked her why she didn't mention this from the beginning, when she already saw that I had two full bags of clothes and told me to go back and grab the shoes. Why waste my time? She had every opportunity to say something before I went through the trouble of unpacking everything and hauling it all back inside. Complete incompetence. If someone is coming in to donate and give you inventory, turning them away makes no sense. Do better. I packed up my things and left, and I won't be coming back. On some days and certain times you can bring in your items to sell back to the store (call the store for updated information). Due to Covid times, you drop off your items and they go through it and after you can come and pick up whatever items they don't purchase from you. You then get cash or a credit for the store so you can purchase other items. Here is where it gets confusing; on some items they are priced on the high end. Meaning if I see a sweater for $16.99, I feel I can get a similar item new/non-used at TJMaxx. The store is pretty organized for a slightly used clothing store. I've never left a bad review before, but honestly I feel so cheated. I traveled pretty far to come to this store to only get $5 and some change for 2 items out of like 10+ things. On top of the fact that they deducted so much money off when you requested cash back and not their store credit. I have a prom dress that I have been trying to sell for a while now. I even asked about the prom dress being perfect for them but they want to get out of not buying the dress on a technicality because it's "formal" I have read over and over their website about their rules and I honestly felt defeated with how picky they choose their items from you. I have also red numerous bad reviews and I feel the same way they feel. Which is again, CHEATED! After I talked with one of the workers about the prom dress she agreed that because the dress is seasonal because prom season is around the corner! They clearly chose the option of not buying the dress because it's "formal"and they don't accept that. I went in to sell some items; they only took four items, two of which were Zara, and all I got was $14. Even though I've seen plenty of very worn down items. Prices are higher than most thrift stores. I love this place and usually go at least once a week. They have cool brands and really "interesting" pieces of clothing. If you're a local and haven't been, do yourself a favor and stop by. (Like everything in midtown) it will be hard to find parking, but it's worth the trek.
