Myles was extremely helpful and cool on the phone, and came out the next day to make a bid on my job. Unfortunately he didn't have the right equipment to get to my bar (we're not close enough to the street for his truck to pull up), but he set me up with a guy who he partners with who had a portable machine. They did a great job, reasonable prices, and had an amazing attitude. Myles followed up with me the next day to make sure things went well. I was extremely happy with the experience. He usually charges a minimum of $100 for a call, but because we were new customers he offered a discount (however, we were so pleased with is work and demeanor that we paid the normal amount). Called a few carpet cleaners on yelp that have good reviews, Apex wasn't the cheapest to quote but not much higher, Myles said he is the owner, so I decided to go with him. Ended up being more than the quoted price by quite a bit, but in all fairness, I was quoted ranges, not specifics. Even based on the highest range possibilities, though, we still paid more than expected. Not sure where the extra cost came from and my husband didn't think to ask for a detailed list (our mistake). I was a little shell-shocked, honestly, after getting home and seeing how much the final total was, especially since my chair didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. HOWEVER, everything else looked excellent. Myles and his daughter were extremely kind and professional. Very nice people, worked very hard. Clearly, my review isn't needed, but I was so happy with this service that I had to post something. My carpets that I moved into at Jeffries Colonial in South Pasadena are adorable, but the landlords are extremely cheap. Long story short, The carpets are over 15 years old---maybe more. The pads underneath the carpets are shot... when i spill water or try to clean a stain, the dirt actually comes up from underneath the carpet and only gets worse. I was really crossing my fingers that having them cleaned would at least make them livable....as I'm sure these landlords will NEVER change them in my lifetime. The carpets look so much better, softer. He rinsed off the cheap chemical stuff that was never washed off from the landlords "cleaning" upon move in. I was allergic to it. So now the carpets are soft, clean, and he even got some of the most unsightly stains out with the spot cleaner. I will use them again and recommend to anyone who cares about sanitary, safe cleansers that are non-allergenic. I had just moved to South Pasadena and I was looking to have the upholstered furniture in my home cleaned for an upcoming party. I looked up and called several of the listings under "Carpet/ Upholstery Cleaning" that I found on Yelp. The company that gave the best first impression was Apex Carpet Care. Myles (owner) and his assistant were immediately responsive to my call, on time for our scheduled appointment and worked VERY hard to do a great job for me. I was impressed by how they either moved the furniture outside or put down proper matting on the floor to protect all surfaces while they were cleaning and I was happy to see that they had a lot of experience with cleaning various types of fabrics. Upon completion the 6 large chairs that they cleaned were the way I had envisioned them being upon cleaning. Very fair in terms of pricing and just good, honest and hardworking people. Myles did a great job on my carpet. It was in relatively bad condition. He got all the indentations out from the furniture and the dirt and other stains. There were a couple paint stains that didn't come out. Other than that the carpet looks brand new! The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was the price. After reading all of the positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to give Apex a call. Miles was very prompt in returning my call, and we set up an appointment for him to come out and give me an estimate. He offered to come over that afternoon! I told him that I had just had my carpets done by someone else, and there was a lot of soap left in the carpets, and just after one month the stains were coming back again. Miles knew exactly what the guy did, and told me how he could remedy it. I also told him that the nap on the carpet was totally flat, and asked him if he could help. He told me that he would do his best. His quote was extremely reasonable. $215 for a two bedroom apartment rental. He and Tony showed up the next week. My tenants just moved out and the carpets hadn't been cleaned in 2 years...They had pets and there was definitely a lingering smell, so I started doing my research as to which carpet company to use. One of the main reasons I chose Apex is because is it owner operated, so the guy that owns the company - Myles - is also the guy that cleans the carpets...so you don't get an employee who was hired to do this just a few months ago. I also loved that they gave me a TOTAL price BEFORE they came over...whereas others quoted a lower initial price but said "well, here's our special for 4 rooms but we can't tell you how much it is for spot cleaning, deep cleaning, pre-treating or deodorizing till we get there". Apex did it all - double deep cleaning, spot treatments, and deodorizing...all for exactly how much they quoted. He was there over three hours, which is unusual and just shows how much pride he takes in his work. It paid off, because the carpets looked cleaner than any other time. Apex is literally the FIFTH carpet cleaning company I have used at this property in the last 8 years, and I am confident they will be my carpet cleaner of choice from here on forward. read more

After reading positive reviews on Yelp, I called Apex. The reviews understated the company's abilities. Miles worked with my schedule and cleaned our carpets better than anyone else has in the 7 years we have had them. With 2 dogs and 4 kids, you can imagine. He also cleaned a sofa that really should be on its way out the door, but restored it to looking more than presentable. Everything was reasonalby priced and done fairly quickly. As if that wasn't enough, shortly thereafter we had a plumbing problem that left a hugh brown stain on our carpeting. I was frustrated and ready to tear it out, but we called Miles/Apex instead. I used Apex Carpet Care for the first time today. It was the first time I've used any pro carpet care, and I highly recommend their services. They are friendly, knowledgeable, were on time, efficient, and my carpets look amazing despite the fact that they are fifteen years old and we have kids and dogs. We had some stains that I had not been successful in cleaning, even after repeated attempts with my home carpet cleaner, that are now completely gone, and the rugs smell fresher than they have in years. Apex's price for the square footage is on par with other reputable pro carpet cleaners. Don't be fooled by the coupons that you receive from other carpet cleaners claiming 3-4 rooms for a small price, If you read the fine print, you'll see that they cover a fairly small area in square footage, and don't include stain and odor removal in their base price.
