I woke up on a Saturday with no power off my solar system. I called the solar company and they said to call a contractor. After many unreturned calls I called Apex and got a person right away. 1 hour later Gary showed up. The owner texted me updates. Very nice, easy going and got right to it. Since I posted my review, I was messaged one time from Apex. It wasn't to set up an appointment to correct any of the problems they left or to apologize for any of the issues. Not even to apologize for voiding the 2 year warranty on my generator. The reply from Apex was to remove my review & to threaten me legally if I did not do so. Seems to be a pattern here. Again, not taking responsibility to correct any of the issues & blaming "the user" for the problems. read more

The company is as great at responding to my initial questions (prior to booking) and their fee was most reasonable out of the other quotes I received. The electrician they sent out (didn't get his name) was very professional, on time and helpful when it came to explaining things at the end. Didn't take long to install my wall charger at all. Finally I am able to post a review for Paul at Apex Electric. Paul actually answered the phone last October after we fired two other electricians. We direly needed rewiring of our house, and a new electrical panel with a 200amp upgrade after a lightening strike last June. Along with this work, we wanted to install a whole house generator. The problem was that we live in Big Bear and winter was setting in after months of trying to get the work done. Paul was lightening fast in getting everything set up and miraculously completed all of the work within three weeks. We had been trying to get this work done since July with no luck, until Paul came along. Garry and his team worked tremendously fast and got everything completed. And, amazingly, every time we have questions on the generator or need something, Paul actually responds quickly! This company (and Paul!) are one of a kind and have ethics that are very hard to find in contractors these days. My last comment is to thank them so much for getting this work done, especially with the horrendous winter we just came through in the mountains. We were able to stay warm, keep the lights on and keep working all through winter thanks to the new generator, panel and wiring! And no more extension cords running through the house since last July once the work was done in November!! If you come across Paul, no need to look any further for another electrician. Apex was hired to upgrade our electrical panel. While in the process, one of the workers broke the spigot off our water heater which caused extensive water damage to the point that my family now has to be displaced. Although Paul, in the beginning, claimed that it was a minor problem, the extent of the damage surpassed what we were prepared for. Although I can recommend them for completing the electrical work, I cannot ensure satisfactory customer service. After the incident occurred, it took 7 days for his liability insurance to reach out while Paul did not offer assistance. In the meantime, we have had to be displaced from our home which has caused unnecessary expenses. With all that, my spouse wrote a review, and the owner, Paul, appeared to attempt to dox our location and claim that we would not pay for his work done when we have payed for our deposit and planned to pay for the remaining balance. What we would have liked to see from Apex as being a reputable business is to show some grace towards their customers whom by the actions of his workers, have caused us to now pay upfront unnecessary costs to be displaced for up to 30 days, pay for dehumidifiers racking up our electricity bill due to water restoration services, and recurring damages. Overall, I can say that the upgrade that was done in the electrical work has helped us run the dehumidifiers in our home for the last seven days, but the other expenses that have come with the damages were not worth hiring this company to provide the service. read more
