So I left a review same day as visit. Sitting in the chair after procedure. There is a 8 by 10 QR CODE the Dr show assist with leaving a review( I left 5 stars, great bedside matter). What I didn't know was the DAMAGE the Dr did to the inside of my mouth until I completed all my pain relief/antibiotics. I wonder why I was still in pain 10 days later not being able to eat. This Guy cut my gum in the procedure. So the pain was not the root canal it is the missing chuck of my gums that is trying to grow back around my tooth. I had 3 root canals done here in 2022-2023 #31, #19, #30 Unfortunately all three failed and have been slowly making me sick over time without me noticing until my lymph nodes became extremely swollen . My dentist and an oral surgeon both confirmed that the root canals were infected and that I needed emergency surgery. When I called the office and explained they asked me to come into to get a second opinion . Dr Tai disputed the findings and said that only one was infected because it had a tiny crack in it . I did ask the office manager Veronica if a refund was possible for at-least one of my root canals she said they would "consider it." Even after my emergency surgery to remove the teeth I sent documentation over confirming the teeth were infected and even my surgeon sent them a fax through email. My calls and emails were ignored. I understand that complications can happen in dentistry but the lack of accountability and communication after going through such a costly and serious situation was disheartening. Veronica was extremely short with me and just blatant ignored me after I sent documentation confirming everything. Future customers please be aware that if your root canal fails they will not take accountability ! read more

Frustrating and Unproductive Experience I spent over 3 hours at this dental office, only to be told that they wouldn't proceed with any treatment without another consultation--even though I already had a report in front of me confirming I need a root canal. It's incredibly frustrating to go through the hassle of booking, waiting, and showing up prepared, just to be told I need to start the process over again somewhere else. If you already have a diagnosis or referral, don't expect them to move forward without repeating everything themselves. Time is valuable--especially when you're in pain. Dr. Tai and his staff went above and beyond from the initial consultation to the followup after my root canal. I suffer from extreme anxiety and their patience, knowledge and friendliness eased me through my root canal with NO pain and total confidence in the outstanding care I received. The office is extremely clean and there was no attempt at any "upselling". I was amazed at the efficiency throughout this procedure. This office has moved to Sahara so be sure to call their phone number for new location. But aside from that, the doctor and staff are all very good at what they do. Very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. I had to get 3 root canals total, and this was my first time ever needing one. They did 2 on the upper left of my mouth first, and the doctor was very informative and talked me through the entire procedure. He was funny too which made everything so much easier. I went to Apex due to pain on my lower left and right side moles. The staff are very nice and friendly. I have visited this dentist before and he is good, I just don't like that he doesn't make sure that his patients understand what he is explaining. Not all patients understand dental language. He told me what he was doing and I asked him what he meant but he didn't explained. I had to asked the assistant, who very nicely explained what he meant. read more

Welp had to get a root canal and this dr was referred to me by my regular dentist because I needed a specialist. The staff at the front desk explained all my cost breakdown. They even saved me some money by pushinG my appt to the new year when my benefits were refreshed instead of charging upwards to 350$ copay I only had to pay $50. Dr Tai did a great job on the procedure but his bedside manner is more suitable for a kid. Not only were they loud and rambunctious "in order to distract me", this man bopped me on the nose with gauze as if I were a child. I explained that I was a 42 year old with a high toleRance for pain, had had this procedure done once before and didnt need all that. He calmed down but in his defense I think he's used to horrible patients. All I'd have to complain about is him knowing his patient. Everyone doesn't need distraction while getting procedures done, not only did it annoy the hell out of me, it upped my anxiety. I want to thank Dr Tai and his crew fOr excellent work. They totally lie about giving an estimate BEFORE you see the dentist. They had all of my information from my insurance company for 10 days and I called three times after making my appointment expressing I needed an estimate before I saw the dentist. The last conversation I had 48 hours before my appointment they still never gave any estimate. 24 hours before the appointment they told me I had to pay $109 out of pocket to get a quote when seeing the dentist. total scam they steer you into the appointment and have all of your insurance and won't release amy quote just figure $10,000 and if it's less we should be happy right. they have a payment plant so instead of a house payment pay the dentist! read more

I understand that one does not simply choose an endodontist; they are basically assigned at birth or some mystery algorithm deep in the heart of insurance bureaucracy. I ended up needing to go here for a "routine" root canal and can say that this place was great. The staff is very helpful. Originally there was a insurance nightmare (see: aforementioned bureaucracy) issue where I kept getting the run around from insurance but they worked with me figuring it all out and getting me scheduled. Multiple reminders, very easy to work with. Copay only $40 for the whole procedure. The endodontist was a riot. Off the cuff deadpan humor remarks. Beyond being hilarious, he went through every step and explained in detail what was happening or what he was doing. It was very calming, and helped relieve any anxiety. Full procedure lasted maybe 2 hours. Place was clean, simple, and reminded me of a normal dentist or endodontist back in the Midwest not some done up, mega over the top "Vegas style" place like some dentist office and primary care clinics I've seen out here. Simple, efficient, smart, nice people, I don't need any of the glitz and glam. Don't recommend needing a root canal, but if you get referred here, you will be in good hands read more

If you need a root canal then this is the place! I needed a root canal for a while and suffered bone loss along the way. I had a very rough experience. Dr Tai was very impressive and he told me he would try his best to save my tooth. And that he did! He numbed me very well and the procedure went amazing and I felt nothing during it and nothing after. It was like nothing happened. I was very impressed, but even more impressed when I went to the dentist to get my crown. My dentist highly complemented his work, and I mean she complemented him like 3 times my whole crown procedure. She was very impressed. I'm very happy with everything and I'm very glad I came here. Was referred by my dentist to do my 2 root canals here for a retreatment and found out that when they did my root canals originally when i was like 7/8 years old (im 23yrs old as we speak) that they did not do them correctly and Dr.Tai was super nice and detailed with how the treatment was going to go and it went perfectly super numbed didnt feel a thing and he was super nice during everything and very detail oriented which i appreciate very much and i have a follow up appointment in two weeks which is great he is the beat and the staff here is really nice to talk to and scheduling with them is super easy. Veronica is very rude , poor customer service skills and very unprofessional. I went in signed the paperwork , i didn't write my social # because i had given it to them verbally . They already had it in the system so they didn't need it but they wanted to keep it in a file . I said no i don't wanted write it down and Veronica literally turns around in my face and tells the other girl write it down after i clearly said i don't want my social Written down . No respect so i asked to speak to her boss and she literally said " I'm the boss , what i says goes " so i said oh you own the office "she then said no , but I'm not going to get the doctor to talk to you " so i asked for my paper work so i can leave cause i refuse to be treated badly , she ripped my referral in such a nasty manner. The girls in the office are friendly, competent and professional. Dr. Tai has an unusual bedside manner. He is high energy and talks you through the entire procedure. I thinks he's awesome! My second time coming here and it's great I like the doctor they did great work. However on my second visit today and after paying $1500 for root canal and waiting was told I need a mask. Mind you mandates are dropped. Was told per CDC guidelines and what not. Fear is a hella of a drug. 5' from girl in front office there's employees sitting down no mask. 10' into office handful of people in chairs with mouths wide open getting dental work done. I understand that some days are going to bad compared to others. However, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I was referred to Apex by My usual dental office, as they (My usual) were unable to perform the procedure I needed on such notice, as I was set to deploy 2 days later. The 'referring' office sent Apex all of My info, to include the type of work I needed done. On the day of My appt with Apex, their dentist takes a look into My mouth and then precedes to tell Me everythingthing that I already know, as I'm the one who initially requested the appointments. He then called what he had done a "consultation" and charged Me $180 for it. As he walks away to tend to another patient, I then get (and I'm not exaggerating) the rude, 20 something year old assistant talk to Me, a 44yr old Man, in such a condescending and mostly patronizing way about what insurance is and how it works in this country. Like most people, the thought of going to the dentist leaves me anxious. Having to see a specialist made it worse. From the time I walked in the door for my consultation to the time I walked out after my procedure, the staff and Dr Kwai made me totally relaxed. Dr Kwai has surrounded himself with extremely professional personnel, who go out of their way to make the experience wonderful. Dr Kwai goes out of his way to let his patients know where they are in the procedure. Just had a consultation here with my husband for his root canal - the consultation was $150 to take x rays that we had just taken 2 days before and when I ended up calling other dentists the consults were only $50. The old woman up front was so incredibly rude with a scowl on her face for any question I asked. Extremely expensive (more than any other place I called) and the Orthodontist/Dentist was like a salesmen talking super fast w a long speech where you couldn't get a word in! I will never allow anyone I know to go to this place!. I had an appointment one day, I went and listened this guy talk and talk about how good he is and that he will do this and that then does nothing. The first appointment is just to make sure they can bill your insurance and make sure you know that you pay all the rest. Then makes you schedule another appointment for the root canal!. This is not rocket science here. They all take about the same amount of time. On top of that he doesn't even finish the job. You must get the filling from your dentist!. This is just an insurance scam outfit. If your dentist tries to send you here, I would really think twice about endodontics's that act this way. This is why insurance costs so much. $1215.00 for 1.5 hours of work. and only do part of the work. I did not have any work done here. I have my priciples. read more

This was my 1st time going to Apex Endodontics and I found it on on my own because my dentist referral was just a message that wouldn't return my messages. And I thank God I did find Apex. Let me just say I get very nervous going to the dentist. Wasn't always so until 5 years ago.They said OK were going to get started and I started shaking uncontrollably, from then on I hated going to dentist but did so anyways because I take good care of my teeth. For some reason my teeth are very sensitive. The Dentist, Dr. Dominic Do from Able Dental would be surprised at how much they needed to be numbed up just for a teeth cleaning and I'm not kidding he would often have to stop and numb me up some more and then some more.The reason I would make an appointment was because my whole mouth hurt. Nothing was wrong so they would do a teeth cleaning and turns out that's what I needed a teeth cleaning. But on other occasions when I had a cavity or had to have a rootcanalI would Xanax up but again each time I went in for a cavity or rarely a root canal I would have to get numbed up like crazy and thank God Dr. Do or his assistant would numb me up no matter how much I asked for it. I went to another Dr. Office one time and he was getting pist off at me (freaking jerk)But on to Apex and Eddie Tai,DMD and their very friendly staff. I was nervous for about 2 weeks And I told them their going to have to numb me like crazy. And they said yes you will be numbed up real good but I didn't believe him one bit. So on the day of my appointment i took my Xanax so I wouldn't shake and when Dr. Eddie numbed me up. Let me tell you I didn't feel a thing, not the needle, not the drilling. Oh the reason I went there to begin with was because I had an absess.But I just wanted to THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR NOT CAUSING ME ANY PAIN. I was so happy but I could see your very busy and I wanted to thank you my daughter said there's an APP called YELP that can let you give reviews and since your a busy man along with a busy staff I just wanted to let you know I appreciate all that you did for me and for not lying to me when you said I wouldn't feel pain. This Endo office is a quick "I'm in it for the money" office. You wait 1 hour to be seen and then of course an X-ray to determine what needs to be worked on. Dr. Tai talks to his patients like they are 5 years old or plain stupid. He said "I am an expert and I have the microscope to help me do my work, I see this type of case everyday, no problem". Then he told me point to the tooth, taps it to see if there is pain. "OK, I can do this. Your body has 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 1 nose, this root has 2 roots, I do this" What are you talking about, I was thinking to myself. Then another office worker comes up to me and shows me how much it would cost and looks at his already double booked calendar and says how about 12 Noon next Wednesday. I told them don't you break for lunch? She said "No" we work through lunch here, and the doctor doesn't eat lunch just a quick snack. I walked out thinking this doctor seriously does not care about his quality of service, just how many mouths he can see in a day.
