I came here to get my bottom wisdom tooth removed as it was causing me alot of pain. I made my appointment online and did arrive 20min prior to my appointment for paperwork and insurance verification. They were timely and kind they were proactive and took my x-rays first and then had me wait outside until a room became available. My appointment was at 10:30am and I was sitting in a room by 10:50am! When it came to getting the procedure done I was looking to be sedated but unfortunately they do not offer that service here so I was hesitant but I was also in so much pain... Kia was my lifesaver here and I recommend this place solely because of her!!! Her kindness, understanding and reassurance is what made me stay and get the procedure done. She constantly checked in on me and even stayed in the room to hold my hand through it all and she's didn't have too. I am appreciative for Kia and the kindness she carries! The dentist did seem like he was in a rush and kept constantly saying he had to leave at 1 so he didn't really stay or talk to me about anything and neither did his assistant but Kia made sure I was okay and even gave me a syringe to rinse my mouth at home. My insurance has paid the dentist and the refund I am due is late. I came and spoke to someone at the Washington location and they said they would be in touch with who processes the refund. Nothing happened. I went to the office a week later and they have no answer and cannot tell me anything more other than for me to send an email, which I have done 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I took my vehicle to this auto repair shop to have my rearview mirror inspected and repaired. The shop informed me that they needed to order a replacement part and quoted me 99.99 and stated that was the cheapest they find for that part. After they told me where they were purchasing it, I went and drove to the same supplier myself and confirmed that the exact same part was priced at 24.99 so I did my homework, researched the pricing, and have documentation of the significant difference. Based on these facts, I believe I was being charged an excessive and unjustified markup, and I felt the pricing was not transparent. My experience made me feel taken advantage of, and I lost trust in this business. I cannot recommend this shop to others. I encourage anyone considering this business to request a detailed written estimate, compare prices, and ask questions before authorizing any repairs. Had an APPOINTMENT at 3pm... They close at 7pm and as of 6:28pm, all they have done was "verify my insurance" and take $202 for an x-ray. It's an emergency dentist place, what work could you possibly do without an x-ray, 30 minutes before you close. Don't go here, you'll spend all day waiting, just to be rushed out at the end and asked to "come back another time" after spending 4 HOURS WAITING. E D I T ; after having the manager coming in to talk to me about my review, she proceeds to tell me it's because "we have walk ins sometimes and we treat everyone" (so what's the point of the appointments but okay) They take my X-rays (with no Vest or preventative care, while their employee goes around the corner), sit me down in a chair for about 10 minutes and has their doctor in assuming come and look. he lowers my chair, asks which tooth is causing me pain, and then TAPS IT MULTIPLE TIMES with his metal tool and says "this one?" He lowers me down immediately and walks off. ALL LESS THAN 2 MINUTES. ($202 for this by the way) so the nurse tells me they'll be back with a plan and they do. Then, It's the MANAGER AGAIN. After all the time waiting and wanting to PRESS me for my ACCURATE REVIEW, she proceeds to tell me that my type of insurance needs it to be reviewed 6-8 weeks first before they pay any copay.... So unless very unorganized, i'm sure you would've known 4 1/2 hours ago that i would've been paying out of pocket for a place that "takes my insurance". Which is a good heads up by the way, no one has $1600 just laying around when it's a 50% copay through the insurance. Left at 7:48pm. I'm hoping this review can help someone else since I did not see many other negative reviews, which prompted me to choose here. I brought my fiancé in yesterday because he couldn't open his jaw, and both of the women on the phone were great, helpful, and considerate--she got us a same-day appointment right away and was upfront that they might not be able to do much beyond antibiotics. That part felt efficient and considerate. But when we got there, it was a different story. The tiny waiting room was packed, and what we thought would be a quick visit turned into over four hours of waiting. Most of that time was just sitting there--first two and a half hours waiting for X-rays, then another hour before the dentist finally saw him for all of five minutes. Since he couldn't open his mouth enough for treatment, they just sent us off with a prescription for mouthwash and ibuprofen. I get that emergency dentists are busy, but if they knew they couldn't actually treat him that day, why make us wait like a walk-in? The whole point of an appointment is to avoid that. The staff was nice enough, but the system feels broken when a "quick visit" turns into half a day for something that could've been handled faster. If they'd just been honest about the wait upfront, we might've gone elsewhere. For now, two stars because they tried, but the experience didn't match what was promised. read more

My screams were truly blood curdling today as they removed my wisdom teeth. I was first in but there were still boxes to check. My insurance, new xrays etc. The office was kind-- I hadn't showered and I stayed up all night writhing with anxiety. I must have been stinky and awkward. I would have laughed at the dentist saying "don't breathe through your mouth! That's fight or flight breathing! It will only make it worse ..." but I was incapacitated by the rack in my mouth. It's done. They are out and I am sitting at home drooling blood. The atmosphere of the office is friendly and inclusive and he does manage to get the teeth out. read more

Made an appointment online for 5:30 pm on a Saturday. Got there at 5:20 and was told they are running 3 hours behind. I asked if they could call me when it was closer to my turn since there was no space in the waiting room. The front desk girl reluctantly said it was ok. I went home and waited til 8 and still no call. My husband said to head there just in case they don't call me at all. I get there at 8:10 and get taken back to do an X-ray and then the doctor comes in for 5 minutes and gives me 2 options. Then he leaves. I waited 15 minutes while listening to the girls in the office talk about how a pharmacy confused them with another office. Finally I go out to see what is going on. Knowing full well I couldn't have anything done and just needed antibiotics at 5:30 when I first came in. I told the office manager that I have other insurance that has out of network benefits and she said they couldn't do anything to schedule a root canal I can cash pay then file the claim with my insurance. I said just send the prescriptions to the pharmacy. I did ask what she was sending to make sure there were no drug interactions with what I'm currently taking. Working in healthcare I always read a chart before anything else especially what medications patients are on. The office manager Abby didn't do that. She was going to send a medication that had contraindications to what I'm currently taking. So when I left I went to the pharmacy cause I know e prescriptions don't take that long to get to the pharmacy. When I get to the pharmacy 30 minutes later they didn't have it. I drove back to their office where they didn't seem to care. They said it takes 2 hours for the pharmacy to get a script. I said no it doesn't as I send them all the time for work. I asked for a paper script which she looked annoyed that she had to cancel the resend which I didn't ask for and said to have a seat so the doctor can write it. 10 minutes later she comes out with the script and I questioned it as it didn't contain day supply or route of administration. I questioned the script again. I was told by another office staff member that's just how they write it and patients haven't had issues in the past. They ignored my concern and when I asked for the office managers name she rudely said her name and then proceeded to say my name incorrectly where I responded that isn't my name. Took the paper prescription to the pharmacy who wouldn't fill it due to missing day supply and route of administration. Shocker!! Now I'm waiting for the urgent care just to get antibiotics. Don't come here if you want a place where they actually care and you're not just a number. None of my concerns addressed. I will be contacting my insurance to file a formal complaint along with the dental board. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 11:30 AM and arrived early at 11:10 AM. Unfortunately, I wasn't seen until 12:45 PM -- over an hour past my appointment time. I was the only person in the waiting room. I came in for an issue involving a previous crown, filling, and post done years ago by a specialist in Los Angeles. After I paid the $160 upfront fee, I was seen by Dr. Pearson, who never introduced himself, didn't explain the procedure, and began examining my mouth without any communication. The interaction felt cold and unprofessional. After a quick exam, he told me he didn't feel comfortable working on another dentist's previous work and suggested I should extract everything and have him redo it -- no clear explanation, no treatment plan, and no quote provided. As I was leaving, I spoke with the receptionist, who was very polite, and explained what had happened. Suddenly, Dr. Pearson came out from the back yelling at me, saying I had "wasted his time" and that I had only "paid for his professional opinion." I was shocked by his aggressive tone and complete lack of professionalism. I understand that providers can choose not to work on certain cases, but there's no reason for a patient to be treated this way -- especially after paying in full and waiting over an hour to be seen. This was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience, and I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking respectful or transparent care. read more

People should know that in my entire life, I have never experienced as many issues with a dentist as what I have experienced with Dental Care now and Sunset Endontic's; the Endontist whom they recommended. I have experienced unnecessary pain and suffering,  The X rays were not examined correctly for the right tooth. The Endontist they recommended operated on me to perform a root canal knowing I had an infected gum area which later led to infection and further pain outside of the agony I experienced during the root canal procedure. I was aggressively told right after my root canal by the secretary at Sunset Endontics that I was to pay the full amount, upfront for that procedure, the receptionsit lied to my face claiming to have emailed and texted me the price list. I was advised by the surgeon at sunset Endontics to book for a crown procedure a month later When I attended dental care now for my Crown appointment surgery about a month later I was told I should have booked within 2 weeks of the last surgery and that now my x ray showed that their was a crack in the tooth under the gum and the tooth had to come out. When I attended a further appointment to have the surgery to remove my tooth, I was disappointed to experience the amount of distractions during the procedure, including interruptions from staff to complain about patients, raucous laughing; and trainee staff coming in to gawk at me during my procedure. (I was never asked). During this last procedure a piece of my tooth fell down the back of my throat and was taken out by the surgeon while gas bagging. Emails I have sent to them were repeatedly ignored I complained about these issues to them including the referral to their recommended endontist and they were dismissive and trivialize it making out that I had cracked the tooth again and not known I had...like seriously. The latest experience however was just appalling; disgraceful and totally deliberate, I was scheduled for 9am and was required to have a check over that should have taken 5 minutes, Dental Care Now staff had friends; friends of friends and people invited to loiter and sit in the lobby that had no appointment; but were made to look as if they did. When I arrived I was handed forms to check over to see if my details had changed; and then was asked what I was there for after my details had already been established, whilst I was waiting, I was continually told I would be next at 9.30am, some people loitering at the staff reception were then invited individually past me to see the surgeon for a period of time no greater than about 2 minutes; entering and then leaving; most people at reception lobby did not even go through but just left leaving me as the only one waiting. So who were all these seemingly unconnected people waiting at 9am; and what were they there for as not one saw the surgeon. seems like it was purely to make me wait because I had complained. There was one surgeon working at 9.00am - 11:00am ; and the only one patient who he was with for at least an hour and a half; he was not one of the many ones that were waiting at reception.  The staff were evasive whenever I asked each of them about the time frames, dismissive and rude; indifferent and then laughing. This was a absolutely appalling situation to have been put through, it is frankly questionable whether there was a breach of ethics under the hippocratic oath. What makes this situation particularly egregious; is that much of this was just glaringly deliberate; and intentionally designed to have made my experience as unpleasant and as painful as it could be. I find this part extremely disturbing. This situation was entirely unnecessary; easily avoidable it has caused me allot of stress and suffering thay was needless Anyone reading this go else where, this place is the pits. read more

Sept 2024 I went in for wisdom tooth extraction. Assistant stuck a swab in my mouth and walked away. Dentist tries to pull the tooth and I wasn't numb. I've had extractions and NEVER had an issue before. My old dentist would do like 2 shots on each side in the gums. This guy kept stabbing me. My cheek was in more pain from being stabbed and swollen than the tooth. I'm actually afraid to get dental work now. I need my last wisdom out and I'm literally afraid that I will find some dental flunky trying to pull a tooth without making sure the patient is numb. I would give zero stars and the "dentist" reported if I knew his name. read more

I had two extractions and a bone graft done today. Dr Pearson and his assistant, Victor, were awesome! I didn't feel any pain! (just pressure on my jaw opposite the side they were working on). I have anxiety when in a dental office but today, I was fairly calm. Sandra, at the front desk, was very kind also and helped us get qualified for credit with COMENITY to pay for the procedure--no interest if paid off in 6 months. Prices are reasonable, too. I'll be coming back in a few weeks for a follow up on the healing and then in 3 months can start with what's needed for a tooth implant. The office is also modern and clean. I recommend that anyone who has urgent dental needs to go see Dr Pearson and his staff. You will not be disappointed! read more

Great dentist to go to on the fly. They don't do anything but emergencies but who really wants to go to the dentist for anything but 911's. Reasonable prices and a follow-up is part of the price. The actual dentist is very good. My son had a broken tooth and not an easy extraction by any means. She got him numbed up with both the basic Novocaine and then the super Novocaine. No messing around, especially since it was a molar. She got in there, worked her magic, and the tooth was almost completely out but because of the weird break one teeny tiny piece was trying to stay. Not that day. She eventually got it but even though there were several additional x-rays, more Novocaine, and more time, the price never changed. On the way out it felt really weird to schedule his follow-up on a Sunday but that's when it was, . I hate dentistry (NOT dentists) but this is a hidden gem of a practice and not having to wait for Absolute and their awful triple book scheduling and not getting in for 2 or 3 days. read more

The doctor with the Irish accent suggested extracting a root canal tooth in the back. The tooth crumbled and it took her almost an hour to pull all of it out. Not sure if we got proper cleaning afterwards. She also seemed a little bit snappy and not very calming to begin with. The digital prescription for antibiotics and ibuprofen did not get sent through and we had to go back and forth to get a physical prescription paper for our Pharmacy to fill. The dentist office was about to close so we had to go through Loops to get our prescription sent over properly in a time crunch. Unfortunately, this dental office was the only office available for an emergency tooth extraction, so I had no choice because I was in a lot of pain (Should have taken six extra strength Tylenol instead of coming to this place). The staff were very friendly and helpful, but after care is where I have the problem. My visit was on Saturday, June 17th (remember that date). After the extraction, I was given an rx for Tylenol 3 and amoxicillin. The antibiotic caused a bad reaction, and I still have an infection and pain. The dentist told me that if the infection was not resolved by the antibiotics or I was still experiencing pain, I should call their office, and they would resolve the issue. I've called them multiple times and left several messages, but they have been unresponsive! It's July 21, 2023, and I am still in pain and have to see another dentist (out-of-pocket) because I still have an infection! It's been an entire month! No reponse at all, even though I expressed how much pain I've been in via voicemail. My damn gums should not still be hurting after an entire month! read more

I didn't have an appointment and they only have walk ins on Saturday. I think I have an infected tooth that already had a root canal. My regular dentist was closed on Saturday. In pain, uncomfortable and unable to eat. I called this place for emergency services and they were able to get me an appointment the following morning. I confirmed if they were contracted with my insurance they said yes they are as long is it's a PPO, which I have. I arrived and they told me my costs would be triple the amount of what I was anticipating and that does not include any work that would need to be done. I was extremely confused by this. I pulled up my benefits and showed them, then they say it's because they are out of network. Walked out of the office, still in pain and uncomfortable. And of course since it's the weekend no where else is open, insurance company is closed no one can give me advise on what to do in the meantime besides take Tylenol. Ok, I'm gonna need Dr. Pearson to open a regular non-emergency practice. Because for what is typically such an unpleasant experience, he sure made things... Bearable? Pleasant even. I had a tooth extraction on Tuesday at a local dentistry. There was trauma there since the dentist struggled to pull it out (literally wrestling with my tooth). I tried to call them on Friday to get checked for a drysocket but they never called back. Enter, Friday night where my high pain tolerance was put to the test. I googled emergency dentist and with beaming rays of sunshine and angels singing, I found Dental Care Now. THE EASIEST PROCESS!!! Choose an appointment time from the drop down menu, get a confirmation text, check in and sign papers at the office. And get your mouth feeling better. But what I truly appreciated was Dr. Pearson (and his staffs) efficiency, open communication, and chill demeanor. Dr. Pearson explained the process, was gentle AF, and gave all the necessary aftercare info. Manuka Honey guys... I love that an urgent care for dental exists. Last month I had a really bad toothache so I went to my normal dentist office & they told me how I need a root canal but their prices were insane. I found Dental Care Now and they were able to fix everything for me for a fraction of the cost.
