Quality Flooring installed new wood flooring in our guest room during a renovation in June 2025…read more. Some of the boards started peeling this June. I contacted John Milea, the service manager, and requested that the flooring be replaced. I sent him pictures of the damaged areas, and he did a site visit. I was advised that they would repair a few boards but replacement would cost a minimum of $2400 depending on flooring selected. He also sent an email stating the following: "We believe the installation was done correctly and that all in all you don't like the material selection that was made a year ago." I responded that what I didn't like was peeling wood and adhesive showing between boards. He also said that the current peeling was probably caused by moisture from a leak. Five boards were replaced on July 17th by a Quality Flooring Installer, and he said there was no underlying moisture. Obviously, the flooring is defective. I will definitely look elsewhere for any other floor replacement.

To add to the disaster of this install, the contractor they set us up with is now out of business. We've been trying to place a warranty claim through Floor Trader (Adam- sales associate) with multiple attempts to get a resolution. Now it seems he's ghosted us. They need to do better. I'd steer clear and use another flooring company. Just save yourself the hassle on this one. Over $3,000 wasted here, it's infuriating. In addition, to have this fixed, I will need to move ALL furniture yet again and endure the removal and reinstall process all over again. It's unacceptable for them to do business this way and I see after coming to submit my review that we're not the only ones this has happened to.

When I first contacted Mike Reeves for getting my existing carpet and tile replaced, everything…read morewent really great! He was pleasant, friendly, and very responsive. His pricing was very reasonable for this 1700 sq.ft. home. Carpeting was to be in 3 bedrooms & closets, living, dining, and a small family room; about 1000 sq.ft. total. I was very clear with Mike up front that I had some other projects to complete before installing the carpet and we tentatively set a carpet install date window. Once I hired Mecarni Flooring and made the 50% down payment, it all went downhill from there. There were several problems working with Mike on this job, starting with his charging for carpet removal. Because the existing carpet smelled really bad and I had hopes of saving the removal cost, I started to remove it myself. Mike adamantly expressed I would still have to pay for removal, even though I had already removed half the carpet. So I asked him to remove the remaining smelly carpet ASAP. This request was made several times over many weeks, and he kept promising it would happen, but it never did. Another problem was trying to reach Mike for scheduling or other reasons; he was very unresponsive, not answering or returning calls. When his crew installed the tile flooring, not only did they install a completely cracked tile in the kitchen, but they left a mess behind. They also filled my trash cans with the heavy waste materials that would not be touched by city trash service. Mike's lack of responsiveness got me to a point where I felt I needed to get another company in to install the carpet. When I tried calling and emailing his office requesting to be contacted and to get an updated invoice, I got no immediate response. Two days later, Mike finally responded and set a date/time for carpet install. Mike promised the job would be completed on that Wednesday. When his crew showed up Wednesday morning, they just dropped off carpet and left saying they didn't have time to do it today and would be back tomorrow. I still couldn't get them to remove the existing carpet. On Thursday, the crew arrived late morning and started laying out the pad, complaining the whole time that they were supposed to be on another job site and probably wouldn't be able to finish today. They only installed the pad in 90% of the house before leaving again. Friday the crew came back and eventually completed the job, all the while complaining about being pulled off another job. I was a bit underwhelmed by the completed work by Mecarni Flooring, but I was happy it was FINALLY done. At this point, I still had not received an updated invoice that I requested a week prior, so I called and requested it again. Mike's assistant told me she would get me an updated invoice, which I received around 2pm. I was travelling at the time and not near a computer where I could properly review and compare to earlier documents, so I called and informed Mike's assistant that I would do so as soon as I could. She told me that if I didn't pay by 3pm that afternoon, that they were going to file a Notice to Owner. I found this both hilarious and appalling being I was the one who had contacted them regarding payment and how long it took Mike to actually do anything. Overall, this was a very unprofessional and unpleasant experience and I will never use Mecarni Flooring (a division of Sun Coast Carpet Care) ever again, nor would I recommend anyone else to even consider them.

Great serious company. I had them replace a carpet floor…read morewith vinyl planks on 8/21. The crew tore the carpet and installed the planks on top of the plywood floor. That crew wasn't the most knowledgeable or thorough. The floor looked great and I was very happy, but after 2 years the planks started to peal and break. This is what makes me give this company a 5 star review. I called them to inquire about fixing the floor under warranty even though at this point more than two years had passed. Bottom line is that they fixed everything at no cost to me. At first I thought they would only replace a few planks, but the guy they sent (Marcos) was super knowledgeable and thorough. He immediately assessed that there must be a problem with the sub floor. He took out the planks and showed me how the plywood was all but disintegrating at places. He made sure the job was done correctly this time, replacing the old (very thin) plywood with new 3/4 of an inch plywood. The floor feels now much more stable. He also told the company that we needed to replace all the planks. The company didn't bat an eye and approved the whole work. All at no cost to me. In my book that's A+ service. Everyone messes up, it's how you fix your mistakes that counts. The company stood up for their service and products. As a side note to Rick (the owner). You have a great employee in Marcos. I would have your other crew shadow him for a while or take some pointers from him.
