In 2024 I entered into a contract (which I paid cash for) with HomeSpec to have my basement waterproofed and a sump pump installed. Over the following two years my basement continued to take on water after heavy rainfalls. After multiple visits that yeilded no answers and a periood where communication stalled, I posted a negative review to express my frustration. Shortly after posting, HomeSpec reached out and sent a team back to my home. Thats when management representative Brian stepped in and took full accountability for finding the root cause. He used a practical methods to track the water flow, he placed paper towels around the perimeter to pinpoint the entry point and found it. After the next rain he had his crew to remove the drywall and insulation to expose the hidden leak. Once the leak was identified, the crew repaired the issue. As of 9/2/2026, HomeSpec has restored my basement by installing new insulation, putting up and painting new drywall as replacing my electrical fixtures in the area where there was water damage. While the overall process took a long time and required significant peristance to reach a solution, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Brian for his professionalism, determination to making things right, Hopefully the issue is now resolved, and I will be monitoring the basement during upcoming rainfalls to ensure the fix remains permanent. I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank You Brian.

High strength epoxy injection was chosen since there had been no water leaks and both inductive and thermal imaging confirmed there was no moisture concern in any of the basement walls. Throughout the entire process HomeSpec were very professional and courteous, from their office staff through to the field technicians. In particular the technicians Mike B. and Michael W. did a great job and worked well as a team. The cracks were repaired proficiently and the work site was well cleaned and all debris removed before departing. Overall 5 stars.

The reason I decided on allowing this company to do the job was they were able to install next day. What did I hate the most about the install, the late start and the excessive amount of breaks. So much so another company here to install something, mentioned it. "I did not take off marks for that." It was just the worst part of the install. The best thing I loved about the installation is the color of the LVP. A better choice than the other companies I received quotes from. ----- I hate the pricing model from all of the companies. I'd like to see that I was charged the same as the people before me, apples to apples, prices are listed so I can see for myself. ($8+ a sq foot for 420 sq ft and there is no flooring to move. Compare it to the rest of the flooring that was done that included 21 steps. Rooms were bigger and there was carpet, and tack strips to take up. Plus, they already had the product on the truck, per installer. My fear, and I believe it happened. 1st sale was to get the job and the second was to make up the difference from the first sale. I felt I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I loved the color and the reason they didn't get a score of 5 , I just wanted it over. Even though I knew $8+ was on the high side of competitive while telling me you're giving me a deal. Only y'all know if you lied. Since I'm not presented with a price sheet. I hate the, today it's 5, tomorrow it's 2 and next week it's 10. Whatever your head decides it is. You feel robbed while they're smiling in your face. Not once did someone mention the 60% installation, why, cause there's no such thing. Vent over! At the end of the day, I love the color and, install, the people were friendly and my salesman was Great!! He was knowledgeable of the product and delivered what he promised.

He also never showed up on the day of installation to check the job either. The installation was only "ok." I had to fix and repair dings around doors from the crew, they were a little messy and I am just hoping this carpet was installed right and there are no issues. The carpet itself was a good product and top-dollar. The installation would be a C-.

So, I called and spoke with a female who said that she would get ahold of the estimator and get back with me. Another week went by....no calls. So, I called again and left a message with someone who appeared to be taking calls during the lunch hour. He said he would give them the message and they would call back. Another week....no calls. I guess if they didn't think the job was profitable enough, maybe they should have at least had the courtesy to let me know so I could get another estimate. Now weeks have passed by and I have to start all over again with new estimates. They were not reliable at all when it came to returning my calls and I never even got an estimate for the work. I am a businessman too. Good luck running a business that way. You'll be out of business once word gets around.

They take care when coming in and out of your home. It was a really great experience all around. First, we had them out to fix our old AC unit that we hoped would make it through the summer. We started having issues, and when they came back out he said it was our furnace blower & gave us our options. We decided to just replace the whole system due to variables we encountered. By the end of the day we were all set for install. A few days later they were out & had our new ac going by the end of the day & came back for a few hours the next day to finish the furnace. It was not invasive or difficult at all. They left no mess & were very pleasant. It was all around just a great experience. Highly recommend them for all your HVAC needs!

A week later on Tuesday I called as I had not nbeen contacted with an installation date. I was told it would be done that Thursday ad they would give me a call the next day to the specific time. The next day comes and goes, no contact. Thursday morning I contacted the rep (MIKE), told him what happened and he told me the installation was going to be done on Friday, and that I would receive a call on the specific time by noon that day (Thursday). Still no call by noon so I followed up with the office. They blamed it on rain, (0.00" that day) and said they didn't know when they could schedule. I then called Mike (rep) who offered NO help. The office then called back that day and said they had NO idea when they could do the job. I told them to CANCEL my order. I have never dealt with a company that had such poor communication and lack of integrity! REVISION: Shortly after writing this review, I was contacted by the owner concerning my issues. He made no excuses, but asked if he could make this right. He sent a crew out first thing in the morning the NEXT day and they took care of the job. They were friendly, professional and did good work. The owner acknowledged they need to work on communication within the company, but the finished job was just what I asked for.
