Initially, I went to a doctor referred by my General Practitioner. The first doctor I went to, I waited for over an hour and a half pasty appointment time and then was kept there for close to 2 hours. When they heard I had been in a wreck, I felt like they saw dollar signs over my head. The initial exam cost me close to $400!!! After sharing my first experience with a few close friends, I received a glowing review from a trusted friend who urged me to visit Dr. Godwin. From the very first visit, the office team, intern and doctor were 180 degree different than the last doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Godwin for the past several weeks twice a week and him amazed at the change in mobility and energy levels. I had no idea how limited i was in mobility before my body started healing! The Active Family Wellness center is about chiropractic care, but it's also about whole body wellness: physical therapy, chiropractic massage, health and overall wellness. They offer seminars and classes on various topics. Dr. Godwin can assist with anything opening nasal passages to avoiding surgery with regular adjustments and exercises. The office hours are a huge plus for me because I work in Downtown Dallas. On different days, they have staggered late night hours which helps find time to make health a priority. I recently brought my infant to an appointment with me and Dr. Godwin was able to adjust him. After the adjustment, I noticed an immediate change in his nasal drainage and congestion. While there, he found that one of my baby's legs had limited mobility. During the adjustment, my son thought the doctor was tickling him and he was laughing. It didn't hurt him at all. Just a couple weeks later, he started crawling! Please don't be burned my a bad experience with another chiropractor and give up.

Dr. Stacey takes really good notes and can remember what's going in my personal life, even asking me if I needed special accommodation (ie., special pillow) for my chest because I am nursing. If you check in on Yelp you get a free traction bed massage. I didn't dig it (it's too hard/rough for me), but I always get iced after an adjustment and feel great afterwards. I don't get to go as often as I like, but my back and pelvis are very grateful! I can resume some of my yoga positions that were off-limit before.
