When we reached out to Robert to ask him to come back and finish the job properly, he refused to do so without charging us an additional trip fee for his own team's oversight. To make matters worse, Robert claimed our staff told his team to shut the unit off. Over the course of four phone calls, his story kept changing. This independently owned company corrected Moreno's work, replaced all necessary pipes, and properly caulked the sink for a reasonable amount. While we did lose a little money with Moreno, we are grateful and truly blessed to have found a company that operates with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. God always makes a way. Have a blessed Sunday. Finally found a trustworthy, licensed plumber. What's even scarier is that he is claiming to not have done the job properly due to our finances. We are both well paid in our respected fields...money is never an issue. It was done incorrectly because you are incompetent. Do better. Original post: Do not use GM Plumbing, specifically Gus Moreno. Moreno came to our home to assess a leaking pipe while my husband was at work. Because Moreno represented himself as a licensed plumber, I trusted his professional judgment. Upon entering, he spoke in a condescending manner, asking, "Well, what can you tell me about what's going on?" While the tone was inappropriate, I remained professional and focused on resolving the issue. Moreno stated the problem was a drainage gasket and quoted $225 to replace it. He then stated the sink would need to be uninstalled and reinstalled, which would cost an additional $250 plus. Since my husband was unavailable to discuss these options, I instructed Moreno to proceed with only replacing the gasket, and we would address the sink installation at a later time. Moreno advised me to tell my husband to caulk the sink with 100% silicone if we chose that route. Moreno completed the work in less than an hour. The gasket was not properly flushed, and caulk was left sloppily applied throughout the area. The work was tacky and unprofessional. He stated there was no longer a leak, ran the water briefly, and provided aftercare instructions before leaving. Once I spoke with my husband, he was extremely surprised that no pipes were replaced and that Moreno charged $225 for what amounted to a simple gasket replacement. He was also concerned that Moreno instructed the homeowner to caulk the sink rather than completing the work himself. Moreno later returned after my husband arrived, without his work truck. My husband questioned the pricing and work performed, noting that charging $225 for a part that costs approximately $10 was unreasonable. While I understand that businesses mark up parts and labor, this charge was excessive. Unfortunately, my lack of plumbing knowledge was clearly taken advantage of. Gus Moreno will not be returning to our home. We have lost trust in both him and GM Plumbing. Before leaving, he suggested my husband call him the following week so he could fix everything properly. That will not be happening. He also stated that he proclaims God, yet his actions and treatment of others do not reflect treating God's children with honesty, fairness, or respect. The attached photo is an example of what he is giving out to his customers, which makes this experience even more concerning. We will be reporting this company for questionable and unethical business practices.

While we didn't move forward with recommended services that seemed outside of our budget, I did believe that a temporary solution was provided and the fee was reasonable for that.
