A few years ago, I called Aaron Electrical Service, the man was friendly and gave me an estimate over the phone, he said for my type of jobs it would be around $2,300 to $2,500 unless the job was bigger than I told him. His man came out of the due date, looked the job over gave me a quote of $2,600 which I felt was fair, the man did the job and made sure things were as I wanted. Different approach. They come out for free but if they have to troubleshoot, then a charge is determined later. I paid $450 for two outlets and a diagnosis. Their estimate was $5000 for adding one circuit and replacing switches and outlets. I requested diagnostic charge to be applied to the work. He offered me $200. This work will be completed in less than $1000 by someone else. read more

On their site, it states a free estimate, but when the tech came, he told my husband that it would be a $225.00 service fee, and it would not go towards repairs. When we contacted them to speak to them about what was on the site, they took my husband's name and said someone would call him back. We are still waiting to hear from them. They have an A+ rating with the BBB, but that should stay if the consumers report them. I will make a report with the BBB so they don't fool anyone else. I took off work for the agreed to repairs and they were a no show. I called the office to inquire and was informed by Chris multiple (at least 3) excuses as to why no one showed up. They didn't even have the courtesy to contact me. Chris also never gave me the quote on another electrical job as he promised. On top of it all, Chris stated he was not allowed to offer me the discount coupons that are on their website for the work I was having done; panel box upgrade. Terrible integrity of this company. I called 3 or 4 places to get a quote on a panel box service. Wes answered all my questions and quoted the least for a full replacement. Johnathon came over to inspect my panel box after my A/C compressor blew a line and tripped and fried the breaker. Johnathon said that my panel was too old to service and that breakers was not replacable due to faulty parts. I had an old Federal Pacific Electrical box that are known to fail suddenly and be hazardous. He said the only way to keep from the breakers from shorting out again was to install a new box and all new breakers. He quoted me $1900 for parts, labor, and warranty - only a few hundred more than what Wes said they stared at. I approved the estimate and Johnathon moved his schedule around to start repairs the next morning to get my A/C running again. He arrived on time and got the installation done in 4 hours - new box and breakers. The installation was tidy and he cleaned up the mess well. While we're still determining what to do to address our issue with ACFI breakers nuisance tripping in our house, if we go ahead with the work we will absolutely be using Aaron's Electrical. Communication was great, and after calling late in the day yesterday we were able to get scheduled for a no fee consultation with Andrew who arrived promptly and on time the following day. I reviewed our situation with Andrew who gave very balanced feedback, helped consider options and provided us a no pressure quote. Aaron's Electrical Service is the best! I used them a while ago, but just now registered to be able to review companies and definitely wanted to post a stellar review for them as I have never forgotten the excellent service and caring treatment I was given in a dire situation I found myself in at the time. It was in the middle of the summer and my electricity was going on and off, in random areas and appliances. Not in any way that made sense to me. My cooktop was working, but my refrigerator was dimming and it would be on and then off. Most importantly, my AC was not working and it was in the 90s, and I am older, live by myself, and had a knee replacement. I called several companies and as I recall it was either after hours or on the weekend. Aaron's was the first to call me back, and even after talking with the other companies, seemed to be the company I felt like was going to fix my problem, and be fair in their price. I feel some companies take advantage of folks when they are at their most vulnerable, and I did not feel that way with Aaron's. I actually felt like they were going to do their best to do the job for the most reasonable price that they could. Fast forward to Centerpoint confirming what Aaron's found, that half of my electricity was not getting to me due to having only one leg of two, electrical term, reaching my box. Bottom line was having to replace main line underground, very expensive and not quickly completed as Centerpoint must be involved to turn off main, and more importantly to come back and turn on main. Since it was in the 90s it was imperative that this was done in a timely fashion. Aaron's took total ownership of the whole process knowing I had already been without AC for 2 days, and kept in constant contact with Centerpoint so that as soon as they were done, Centerpoint would come back and turn it on, and not wait until the next day. Meanwhile, I had mentioned to them that I had always wanted to replace my electrical panel, as I had one of those old dangerous Federal Pacific ones, but just couldn't afford to do it. Aaron's gave me such a reasonable price for replacing that, that I knew it would be possible for me to get that done as well, eliminating a safety issue and something I had worried about for a long time. Now I feel it is important to mention that they did not bring up the replacement of the panel, I did. I don't want anyone to think they were trying to upsell me in any way. In conclusion, I will never forget how well I was taken care of by Aaron's Electrical Service, and will be a lifelong customer. There might be cheaper companies, but I find their prices competitive unless you go with Uncle Joe's friend Bubba, and you do absolutely get what you pay for. I prefer a company that I know has experience, because you are after all talking about electrical work, as well as integrity, something lacking in most companies, which translates into the most important thing. Trust! I trust them unquestionably, and wholeheartedly recommend them for all of your electrical needs! read more

Had a very challenging, and difficult to troubleshoot intermittent fault. Normally I don't use an Electrical services (being ex Navy Electronics Technician and BSEE from University of Maryland myself), and just do the troubleshooting and repair myself. Problem was compounded with the fault being in the attic and affecting a primary AC unit on an EXTREMELY hot day. Chris did a GREAT job with troubleshooting, and it did take a while, but he did get not one, but both faults. GREAT service, good fair price, prompt.
