Another problem with it is for it to last as long as it will, the required maintenance and any repairs need to be done by someone trained and experienced in the materials. Tibor Weis is a factory trained EFIS (synthetic stucco) expert. The work he does on our EFIS siding is superlative, competitively priced and executed with exacting care. I will never use anyone else, even for a simple caulking or other repair, Tibor is just that good.

While he was here, he also began inspecting our home and told us the very fine hairline cracks in our exterior walls were not normal and that our builder had not done it properly. A quick Google search proved that was false. He quoted us $6K to repair the stucco around the windows and $8K to skim coat an 8'x30' wall. We found another contractor (Stucco Patch) who did a fantastic job and repaired the stucco around the windows for $1K. Obviously, we didn't have the exterior wall skim coated because it wasn't even remotely necessary.

I will give them props for communication, they sent a text the night before to remind me of the upcoming appointment. The technician Dorian (super nice guy BTW), called when he was about ten minutes out. He was super nice and knowledgeable. The problem started when Dorian found a bad capacitor which needed replacing. He had the part on-hand and when I asked about the cost, he said it was about $200.00 I excused myself for a couple of minutes and went inside to my office (part in hand), and when I checked the price on-line, they ranged anywhere from $17.00 to $40.00 (ish). I'm but no means a cheap skate but take great offense to being taken advantage of. I can only assume they believe they are dealing with uninformed, uneducated morons.
