Brand new apartment building south of the river…read more 1. Location - I wanted to move near water & not be in a crazy busy area. I love that it's near Tennis courts, a Publix & not on a busy road. It's nice not tons of cars are going to be around unless they have to absolutely be around there. I also wanted to live near water, but I also did not find anything I liked near the beach...so being by the river is nice. Plus I love seeing the boats pass by~ very soothing 2. The building & unit - elegant & creative. A beautiful bundle. This building has specific floor layouts for units I could not find elsewhere like built-in closet organizers for walk in closet, tub + shower + double sinks all in one unit- this was quite rare to find. *high ceilings only in select units* ~ amenities are nice; pool, sauna, mini movie theater, a gym. I also love that the garage has high ceilings~ some garages feel very cramped- this one does not, thankfully 3. Grateful for life & to see how the city has been growing. Alex the Manager gave us a tour of the property and the rest was history. The Remy has been our home for only a few months but we couldn't be happier. The property has an amazing staff very friendly and attentive to all the residents. Alex has been on top of all of our needs from day 1 and his customer service skills are top notch. We are very happy to call the Remy our home.

I brought my elderly, disabled mother--who uses a walker and has dementia-- last week to tour an apartment to assess its accessibility. Despite providing my driver's license as her caregiver, the leasing agent demanded my mother's ID. I explained she doesn't have one due to her obvious disabilities, but the manager refused to let us view the property. The manager initially claimed it was a legal requirement. When I challenged this false statement and pointed out that it was discriminatory against disabled elderly persons, she abruptly changed her story and said it was now "company policy" not to allow anyone over 18 without an ID. I countered by explaining that I had toured at least 9 competing properties in the area, all of which accepted just my driver's license without issue. None of them demanded an ID from my mother, given her very visible disability and the fact that she could barely stand, even with a walker. Yet The Metropolitan refused to make any accommodation. This company's behavior was uniquely cruel and highlights their blatant discrimination against disabled elderly persons. Their lack of compassion or willingness to accommodate someone with obvious physical limitations is disgraceful. If you or a loved one have special needs, avoid this place at all costs--they clearly have no interest in treating people with dignity or respect.

They charge Miami pricing yet don't give you Miami service or amenities. The herb garden they talk about is three grates on top of wood chips- it's not a garden. Our apartment is completely rundown while paying a premium of this alleged "luxury experience". They like to focus on the pool a lot which is a nice pool however it's always busy so if you want quiet time, you can forget it. There are a lot of shady characters roaming around quite often as well as people tailgating in the parking lot and breaking down the entrance and exit gates at least three times a month. There is no assigned parking, it's just a free for all. If you want a private one car garage you can rent one @ $250 a month which again is almost double what most buildings in south beach are charging. The building just really isn't worth the price or the hype via the website.

I wanted to explore on my own. When i arrived, the young ladies that worked here were very attentive, even offered us donuts (which were delicious by the way). I was given a key, and a map on where to go. We explored the community which is super nice and were able to look at a few apartments with different finishes. They are very nice but i feel like the bedrooms are really small, especially the master and the closets as well. I didn't understand why a walk in closet that was already small would have a door that opens into the closet taking up more space. If it wasn't for the size of the bedrooms and the closets and the weird way the doors open into them, i would move here.

I signed a lease at Solle Davie but never moved in, never occupied the unit, and never brought any belongings into the apartment. Shortly after signing, 3 days, 72 hours to be exact. I reviewed the community policies more closely and realized the property was not a good fit. I immediately contacted management to cancel before occupying the unit. Despite this, management stated that simply receiving the keys counted as taking possession and insisted on charging a $4,212 lease break fee, even though the apartment was unused and could be immediately re-rented. No flexibility, no alternative resolution, and no acknowledgment of good-faith efforts to avoid violations. This experience felt very one-sided and transactional, with no consideration for the actual circumstances. If you rent here, understand that once paperwork is signed, there appears to be zero room for discussion -- even if you never move in. Proceed with caution.

I've lived at The Registry Las Olas long enough to have a pretty balanced view of the building…read more There are a lot of things to like: the location is excellent, the building looks great, and there are some genuinely nice amenities. For a relatively new building marketed as a modern luxury property, there are also more operational issues than I would expect, however,  The amenities can feel overtaxed at times. One of the elevators was out of service for quite a while, although management announced today, with considerable enthusiasm, that all four elevators are finally operating again. Hopefully they stay that way. Parking is another frustration. The garage is supposed to offer the convenience of valet parking, but there have been times when parking availability has been an issue, and the app residents were given to manage the valet experience has been unreliable at best. The building's electronic door/access system has also been a recurring problem for multiple residents. The Ecobee thermostats were another nice "smart building" feature, but residents can no longer control them through an app. Individually, none of these things is catastrophic. Collectively, however, they take away from the experience you expect from a newer luxury building at this price point. There are rumors that some of the issues are apparently related to availability of maintenance budget funds.  I hope not. Management also seems unusually particular about their social events. There have been building events where residents' friends and guests are present, but there are apparently other events where even a resident's boyfriend or other guest may not attend unless they are themselves a resident. While I've never had an issue, for an apartment community populated by adults, that strikes me as an unnecessarily rigid and somewhat odd approach to building a sense of community. The Registry has a lot of potential, and I don't dislike living here. My frustration is that the physical property and location promise a more polished experience than the day-to-day operation consistently delivers. I would much rather see management's attention focused on making the elevators, parking, access systems, smart-home technology, and other basic conveniences work reliably. A good building, in a great location, that could be much better with more attention to the resident experience and the systems residents actually use every day.
