Pretty disappointed with Superior Siding. I hired them to replace some old siding, corner boards,…read moreand moudling. The quality of the finished product was good enough, but the administrative side was pretty much a disaster throughout. After the initial estimate we arranged a date to start the work. When I called the day before the scheduled start, they hadn't even ordered the materials yet, giving an additional delay. The workers needed several practice cuts when replacing the moulding, resulting in additional wood being needed and at least a full day spent with the workers standing at the saw pondering the angles. After they cleaned up with their magnet, I still found tens of nails and a even box cutter blade with my own magnet. In the end, some of the agreed replacements/repairs weren't performed but they replaced most of an extra wall's siding when the original idea was to only replace the damaged boards at the bottom. It took them four times more man-hours than their estimate along with a substantial increase in the material costs. In total, they were almost 2.5x over estimate. On an already expensive order, this came to many thousands extra that I needed to pay.

I first got a quote from Vaillancourt Roofing for about $34,500 when my sister told me that we…read moreshould look at Queen City Roofing. As I researched them, their reputation was stellar. We went with them, and the final cost was $19,500. Both quotes had a 50-year warranty, and the only differences were that Vaillancourt put a 4' higher layer of the neoprene (I think) barrier, and they used Owens Corning shingles. Even though I do not know the names of name-brand shingles, I am 100% sure that Queen City Roofing also used an excellent brand, if for no other reason than they do not want to come back to do repairs. Anyway, those two little differences were not worth $15,000!! I also recommend using their recommended finance company as they were much easier to get what amounts to a high-dollar personal loan, than through my bank, for only 1% higher interest rate. Anyway, when they finally did the job, I was worried about how many nails would be left on the ground. Well, they did an incredible cleanup job. Based on the quotes I mentioned, you can imagine we have a very large roof, and so far, I have found 6 nails. They had 12 guys working that day, and did the whole roof in one day. They started at 7 a.m., and were done by 4:30! I cannot recommend them enough.
