I rebutted that it was supposed to be delivered via certified mail but the repeated that records show it was delivered and theres nothing more to do. The BBB sided with APMEX too. Don't trust APMEX. Overall there have not been any issues. Reviewing other posted, unsure how they received their packages, but over the past few years, contents have been packaged pretty tight in their internal shipping packages and in their outer packages. Product has been quality and their app from Apple is pretty nice. Watching the assets grow is nice and profitable. Good and other metals have not dropped. Apmex promotes the Bullion credit card as a way to purchase their products and receive a 4% credit toward your next purchase. The deception lies in the fact that you are charged that 4% by the credit card as a surcharge. So you are indeed not receiving any credit toward your purchase of bullion. Also, the Bullion credit card does not send any digital invoices, and they will only contact you once your billing deadline has passed and they have added a delinquent charge. Additionally, any correspondence regarding the card does not include the word "Bullion." Instead, you must unravel that "card center direct" is its veil. They had The United States Postal Service delivery the product and their GPS tracking will argue that the package was delivered, however, I have Video Surveillance that show NO Packages being delivered nor any package theft for the proclaimed delivery day. Their customer service area assisted with these changes, waived any fees supposedly, and messed up some critical factors as noted. They put through the full charge for the original order and were irate that I reported it to my bank and stated they were putting my account on hold. They had also put through charges for 2 additional orders. So at this point charged for 3 orders one cancelled, two are not going to ship but they have the money. Been buying from them for years was even a special platinum client spent over a few hundred grand easy on the years. I had wired some money for 5 double eagle gold coins about 11K. They shipped it out as promised but the new UPS driver just left (supposedly) my 11K worth of gold at my door step. When this package and any package I ever revives had to have an adult signature and if someone wasn't able to do that leave a note and we can reschedule or I'll pick it up or any of a number of things could've been arranged, but you didn't just leave my gold at my front door. I found the driver and he felt terrible to find out that the package was stolen from my porch and my normal driver was very upset cuz of the new guys mistake. I alerted APMEX AKA GOLD ONE and filed a police report and did everything I could to assist in this horrible situation. I got UPS to admit fault and after 5 months they gave me a claim number and apologized for the delay. I am still not entirely sold on them but I will say that I was happy with the product and at least they reached out to try and resolve the issue. On 1/24/2023 I purchased a $5 liberty. As I made the purchase from a multi million dollar gold company I did not bother to purchase a $2k sigma tester for my $679 coin. Fast forward 10 months later when I collect more coins and buy a sigma tester. The coin will not read as, "pre-33". So, I take it to NWA COIN and the Gold and Diamond company. Both stores confirmed that I was sold a contemporary counterfeit from APMEX. Because I could not identify that APMEX sold me a counterfeit within 7 days they will not send me the item I purchased. In fact, they view the counterfeit coin as a real product and hold me responsible to the return policy. Even though that should not be relevant because I never actually received my item. Description of Complaint: We ordered 1 oz gold bar from APMEX. They sent an empty box with nothing inside. We were told that they will investigate and after we file police report since it was about $2000. We did everything and after weeks we got an email with a bad video saying that they sent it out and that they are denying the claim. The video was out of focus and it proved nothing. Customer service was rude and so was claims department. APMEX must refund or replace our 1 oz gold that we paid for. I place an order on 4/24/2022. The package was "insured with the request of signature". Company Version 1 - "Our investigation in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, along with that of our insurer, has been completed... "package" was picked up directly at the counter with the postal clerk" 05/09/2022. Contradictory, On 5/19/2021 - Via email, Apmex "Request for Confirmation of Delivery", which was answered immediately as PACKAGE WAS NOT RECEIVED". The company requested until the 20th to receive package "since were 10 days of delivery". I decided to wait until the 23rd, via call and chat I place to request a delivery, the company indicated: "the claim would be sent by email, it could take 24-48 hours for delivery". The delivery was not received either. Company Version 2 -"The USPS reported to our claims team that the package was picked up and signed for. Our insurance covers the item during shipment but not after delivery of the item". Once the delivery arrives at a destination either a home mailing address, business, or post office, and is signed for, the item is no longer covered by our insurance". I replied the package was not received, was NOT insured NOR requested for signature. If you have that evidence, please provide it. If you have a problem with your courier, please do resolve your issues with them. Fulfill the order. Apmex did not confirm delivery nor a signature confirmation as they claim in their policy or in their version of handling the package. Not a big fan of APMEX. Although they are reliable, they are very slow (at least as compare to their competitors). It takes about 7~8 days for them to ship your order after the money is debited from your account. Another problem is that they don't accept e-check. The whole world accepts e-payment now.
