My poor review comes from a customer service stand point. Long story short, we purchased a home in which Zmana was already integrated into the system. All we had to do was call Zmana directly to set this up. I ended up working with Kevin Aboud and discovered that my husband was put as the main point of contact on the account. We scheduled our standard service not long out and I requested to see what upgraded options would be available. Kevin took my email address down and assured me he would have a technician email BOTH me and my husband a list of upgraded offerings. I let my husband know and we both awaited the email of what could be offered. Fast forward its right before the visit and the technician ends up TEXTING my husband a brief list and total cost to install an additional product for quite a high figure. My husband concerned for the fee asked to cancel the visit for now and we will reschedule as we would be unavailable for some time after that. Here is where things went sour... the tech ends up being confused about the cancelation and ends up CC'ing my husband on an email to Kevin. Kevin then replies back stating my husband "doesn't know what he wants" and I "want it all". Basically claiming we are not on the same page. Well its definitely hard for both of us to be on the same page when Kevin fails to follow through with his promise to have us both given a detailed list of what could be done. Would you not have some concern that you are all of a sudden receiving a shanty quote via text message from a random number? I took this issue to Zmana's customer service and worked with Carly. She was definitely helpful and profusely apologized for this unprofessional behavior. Shockingly, Kevin's title shows as a "Partner" with Zmana. Maybe some additional training wouldn't hurt a higher up? Word of advice, make sure you don't CC your clients/customers when talking smack about them. We ended up forgoing their services.

    Not to take away from the hard-working employees at Aloha Alarm, but the account manager "C" really…read moresucks!!...I've been trying to stop my alarm service since December, since we're moving. No response, left multiple messages with customer service, spoke to a rep 2 days ago in the service dept, always the same answer, "C" is not in today, but when she comes in she'll call you back, and we'll also let another manager "J" know as well. Meaningless dribble...no calls after leaving multiple messages from anyone. Something tells me something is "going on" (management issues, financial issues, etc.) at that company, and not in a good way. When they don't respond to customers and in effect leave decision making to one person, who chooses to either not show up to work or is too "busy" to even return calls to customers, something is definitely wrong. Maybe they need to replace her or the entire management. Customers are not being serviced properly. Next step for me is to reach out to the State DCCA to file a complaint. If you feel you're not being treated fairly I suggest you do the same. Some action has to be taken to wake these people up or else it will remain the same. Me, I'm outta here with these guys, we had service for years but seems current management is sub-par and not taking care of customers. Watch for more reviews, if the negative trend continues, it's telling you something is really going on. Good Luck in the New Year!

Unfortunately I agreed into an additional one yr contract with a locked in price. I have spent an unreasonable amount of calls and time on hold (phone logs of over 5 hrs) without any resolve and complete run around. Bottom line: there is no local technicians or local representatives who can deliver these items, no shipping to Hawaii. ADT will not allow a mainland delivery to another address. Repeated promises, agents who read from a script, call backs without solutions... They have no local support and can not provide ANY service here in Hawaii. No choice but to report to the BBB and change companies. ZERO stars- consumers beware!

    ADT is a predatory business. Once you sign the contract they bill you for services that your house…read moreis not setup for. On top of that, they do not answer our multiple calls/text messages AND they want us to pay $1682.53 to cancel their crappy service! We recently bought a house and the previous owners used ADT so we thought it would be convenient to just reactivate the service. We signed the contract to reactivate the previous service on 7/14/23 with Fred Jubrail. He said he can have a tech come out on 7/25/23 to reactivate the system (never mentioning that cancellation of the contact has to occur in a 3 days window from signing. Sneaky!) On 7/24/23, ADT send a confirmation reminder but the timing is wrong. We scheduled for 12-4pm and on the confirmation they said the tech will arrive 8-12pm. We don't live at the house yet and it was on a weekday, so we have to set aside time to meet the tech there. I had to call ADT twice to rectify the situation, they said OK the tech will come from 12-4p. Day of, the tech completely missed the window and comes at 4:30p (but was very apologetic and kind so we figured we would let this slide). He ends up confirming that we are paying for video services but none of the cameras on the propriety are from ADT. This means ADT was charging the previous homeowners for video service too that they weren't hooked up for! Later that night, my husband and I get 20+ notifications about all the motion sensors being activated. It's like an onslaught of fake alarms (house is still empty so nothing should be triggering it). Seems the motion detectors are too sensitive or faulty. The next day I sent a message to Fred Jubrail who had promised to be my point of contact for any ADT issues, regarding the camera issue and the overkill of alarms, but never received a response (text on 7/26 and again on 8/2). I called him, no answer. I tried the area manager and the region manager, none of them answer and one of them doesn't even have a voicemail setup for his work phone. I'm being ghosted by these scammers. At this point I call ADT directly trying to cancel my service because nobody is providing any type of service. I was on hold for 45 minutes to even speak to a rep who then told me it's $1682.57 to cancel the contract since it's been over 3 days from the signing. She can't even transfer me to a supervisor and can only promise a call back in 24-48 hours. This is unacceptable and dishonest! I can't believe a business is run like this and I'm going to pursue legal action if necessary. I filed a complaint with the BBB if they do not cancel my service.

I complained about the monthly monitoring service costing over $50 a month which is higher than any other alarm company. monitoring with no video or any extras. Then they said I have a contract...i didn't have one. I never saw any renewals and I never agreed to it. if I did how were they able to play around with the costs without telling me and getting me to agree. now i have a collections company calling me. I was also suppose to get signed every year. I called 5 times and still don't get them. They finally told me they had the wrong address???? so who's house where they monitoring??????? OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH IT ....

    In all honesty it took about a month to get the whole system set up from the consultation to the…read morefull complete system. I was notified by the sales team that the job was unusually late and would take approximately 12 hours so there would need two people to install it. Fast forward a couple of weeks, one guy shows up at 8am, telling me that another person was supposed to help him with the job. I had to do something at 5pm and asked the guy if he could come back. When I called ADT to reschedule, I was directed to the mainland operators and then connected through to the local reps and told them that was informed there was only one guy who showed up. The lady on the line told me "your job is supposed to take 11.5 hours and we don't send two people unless the jobs is more than 12 hours." She also asked that I drop everything I was doing (i.e., my jobs) in the middle of my work day to run home so that the technician could complete the job, or wait three more weeks to have him install the rest of the system and get it fully operational. This is not the service I was asking for. Considering I checked with the technician if he was available on a different date, and indicated he had open slots available way before three weeks. They need to work on the way they communicate internally and to better service the customers. If the components on the system were not set up already, I would have cancelled all services and hired a different company. Based on my experience, their technicians are overworked, and the company failed to provide adequate personnel to complete the jobs. Additionally, what happened to the idea that companies should accommodate their customers? Requiring the customer to drop everything and be ready in an hour after a phone call in the middle of a work day is absurd. Based on my communications with coordinating the installation and set up, they gave the impression that the customer must cater to the company and make everything suitable to the company's timeline.
