I freaked out because it has all my company (taking over) documents on it & I hadn't saved it to my other one in awhile (I know I know bad idea save everyday) but I am bringing this company out of the ice ages & into the 21st century & I was on a roll getting it all on computer. I READ ALL THE GREAT REVIEWS for APOGEE COMPUTERS so I know they do computer repair so I figured what the hell let me see if they can help me with my problem. Dave helped me he really didn't need to fix it, he took it apart & checked to see if it was still working (it was) & he pointed me in the right direction to get me up & working again. Just taking it apart & looking at it normally would have cost me an arm & a leg. It didn't I am still able to walk to my computer to type this review! It took me 1hr to get what I needed & put everything I need to get it plugged into my computer & on my way to my 18 hrs days of bringing this company into the 21st century. Thank you Dave!!! what I thought was going to cost me $400.00 (for a new 1 & 1 year of my life) only cost me $35 & some change. Spoke with Jer today looking to make an appointment to bring my macbook in. I explained what the issue was and told him what I had tried, also letting him know that I am a bit of a techie but know my limitations. With that, he gave me a couple of things to try to further determine the seriousness of the issue. First of all, when one says "I'm a bit of a techie" to a professional, often times you can hear them roll their eyes even on the phone. Not the case with Jer. He took me at my word and gave me some good direction. Second of all, he could have had me bring it in and charge me whatever I'd have been willing to pay as I really want this fixed. Again, not the case with Jer. He was more interested in giving it to me straight first, and did so at no charge. Third of all (and this I found to be particularly refreshing as well as surprising), he told me that if what I try works, they would be happy to pick up from there and complete the repair as it is not a simple 'plug and play' proposition. Most of the time, if a self deacribed techie has put their hands in something, repair facilities want absolutely nothing to do with it. I could not be happier! I will definitely be coming back here if I need their services. The computer shop I had used before closed, and I needed some work done on a used computer I had bought. I have driven by this small computer shop a number of times, and fortunately remembered it when I needed to get the work done. From the looks of the store, they have pretty much everything you'd ever need from complete machines to video cards, drives, and towers. Dave was the technician who worked on my machine and he is honest, down to earth, and amazingly knowledgeable. These guys really go the extra mile to explain to you what was wrong, WHY your computer is acting the way it is, what they needed to replace or remove and what they've done to fix it....And their prices are more than fair for the quality of work they do without any hidden diagnostics fees or charges added later. And the wait time? I was expecting a few days for everything to get fixed and the new components installed, but they had it done in less than 24 hours. I took my Dell laptop to Apogee Computer Technologies because the screen was flashing lines of color and/or blacking out. It was impossible to do any work or watch Netflix with all the disturbance. I thought it might be the graphics card, but Brandon correctly analyzed the problem as just the screen needing replacement. He located the correct replacement part and helped me purchase it myself on E Bay. I appreciated that he didn't buy the part and mark it up in price. Brandon offered to loan me a lap top to use until mine was fixed. When the new screen arrived, Brandon installed it the same day and went above and beyond the basics by defragging my hard drive, getting rid of some malware, and showing me how to organize my files so that the computer would run more efficiently. There was no extra charge for doing all this. My computer runs great, the flashing lines are gone and I can work and enjoy Netflix once again. Thanks, Brandon. Came across this repair shop off of google reviews and decided to bring my laptop in because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews. I have to say, Jeremiah and his team of workers are very tech savvy and competent at what they do. My laptop's charging port was loose and wouldn't charge anymore and when I brought it in Jeremiah took the extra time (even a little past their closing time because I walked in late) to explain to me what part would be needed and then even found the part for cheap. Once the part was delivered they didn't take long at all to return my laptop to me. Unfortunately, the charging issue ended up being a larger problem with the motherboard, but they still fixed the charging port beautifully. And, when I'm ready to look into buying a new laptop Jeremiah tells me they do free consultations! Apogee Computers goes above and beyond and I would recommend anyone come here--whether you're building a computer or just need a repair. read more

I had an amazing experience with Apogee Computer Technologies! I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was a lifesaver. Jeremiah and his team are currently working out of his home office while they transition to a new store location, but that didn't stop them from delivering top-notch service. Other places quoted me $200+ and said it would take about four days to repair my laptop. Jeremiah fixed the issue in under 30 minutes--and for a fraction of the cost! He was kind, professional, and took the time to clearly explain everything to me over the phone, which I really appreciated. I'm actually using the laptop he fixed to write this review right now. I'm beyond thankful for the excellent customer service and fast turnaround. Bonus points: he also has an adorable dog named Tiki who is the cutest! Spoke with Dave at this location. Had an issue with my HP Notebook computer, had a factory issue with a premature hard drive failure and HP's own software wont work to do a basic restoration because of something done from the factory. So after having this issue and finding out it's a known issue with this particular model, I gave up and took it to Dave. He charged me a far more than reasonable price, was very cordial, and took way more time and effort than he needed to get my notebook repaired after having seen that many people have written these off, usually the only way to repair these specific ones even for a basic OS Restore is by being forced to return them to HP and pay a ridiculous 'OS Reload' $300 fee when the issue preventing the installation was done on HP's end during manufacturing. I'll be coming back to this place for any issues I can't fix myself on my desktop/notebook computers as long as it's there. read more

i'm so happy that I called Jera to work on my computer. I went to the Apple Store because my password was getting locked out and I wasn't able to get into my computer and they told me I would have to take it to a restoration place. They couldn't help me at all, very disappointed in the apple genius bar that I called APOGEE computer technologies and they were able to open my computer and get my password fixed within 15 minutes and then I actually had them transferring my files to an external hard drive that I brought in and it kept crashing on them. They took it overnight, saved everything in my computer everything on the hard drive and saved me from from losing all of my files I highly highly recommend them and give them five star stars. read more

I have an expensive computer used primarily for gaming and editing. When my system crashed and I couldn't load past a blue screen, I had to look up someone to help. Started what should have been a simple process of adding a new graphics card to an older HP PC. After wasting several hours trying to get a new card purchased on Amazon to work I realized the BIOS HP uses is not friendly to upgrades. I called and spoke with Jeremiah and he suggested I bring in my PC that same day. He tried several other cards and confirmed my suspicions. He gave me some options on upgrading my current motherboard all the way to basically a new PC using what parts were good from the old PC to help keep the costs down. I took my pc in due to some issues with it shutting off and some other stuff, but my PC was extremely dirty and there was a spillage in there a while back but when I tell you that the pc looked brand new when I got it back I'm not kidding, I never thought it would look this clean again and they resolved the issues the computer was having and walked me through ways to prevent it and other precautions to take to make sure that my computer is running great, my pc is running faster then ever, I would never be able to tell that It's not brand new, and the pricing was very reasonable, especially for all the work done, I will be recommending them to every computer person I know!!! read more

Service was excellent. Described my issue in installing a card I had bought myself. They got right to work the moment I was in the store and suggested things I could do to repair my computer. Jeremiah even suggested a 3060ti that he gave my a discount on and installed it for me. Not only that, he repaired windows and installed a new powers supply, all within the matter of 2 days. Service was excellent and all prices were extremely reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anything wanting to upgrade, repair, or build a new computer. Best customer service I have ever seen! I made a yelp account today because the service was that good. My laptop would just display a black screen and I thought that I was going to have to turn it in to SAMSUNG or buy a new computer but Dave somehow fixed it. He ordered the parts I needed himself (I paid for of course) and he fixed it within a day or two the parts arrived. He called me the day it was ready and I picked it up the day after (today) because I had work the day before. My business computer died, so while I was hobbling customers, I bought a new computer off the shelf (Win 11). Found out it would not connect with my older proprietary hardware for my business. Reached out to a few local repair shops, this was the one who actually called back. I was holding off customers while these guys also found that Win 11 would not work with my hardware, so they built me a computer with Win 10, and a faster graphics card that would work with my new larger monitor I bought. Terrific computer store. I have been looking for a laptop for a while and I an so glad I went to yelp to search this time rather that using online sites seeking laptops and such. They completely cleaned my computer from head to toe, installed all the proper drives and optimized my system, my drives were backwards and we got that sorted, took all my fans out and cleaned them, installed Windows 11 Pro and optimized that too, overall Jerimiah did outstanding work with my computer and I would recommend him to anybody needing help or looking for a new computer. read more
