The mechanic I used took forever to fix it but the marina was so nice about everything. They transferred the slip, they checked in on me to see how I was doing, and I when I finally got the engine fixed (almost two moths later) they prorated my stay so I didn't have to pay another full month since I just a week into the next billing. Anytime I had a question they were there, whenever I needed services they were there, it was service with a smile since the day I bought the boat. The only reason I was there so long was because of the mechanic I used for the engine. It was not their mechanic. It's a special engine so it needed a special mechanic. I want to be clear that the work was not being done by the marina. Services are pretty good, they have free electric and water. They'll get you ice, they have pump out and water fill up and they have a full staff working on your boat for almost any type of issue or service. If they don't do it they'll point you in the right direction. I'm glad to leave but sorry this isn't my forever marina, at this point I have been paying for two slips for a couple of months. Heads up, I understand getting out into the bay is trickery if you have a deep draft sailboat.

They have a fuel dock they sell Rec 90 which is the recommended fuel for my boat, every time I come by for fuel they are very helpful tying up the boat helping feeling giving the boat and overall look see make sure everything is okay before I venture out onto the water. Overall I give this place to thumbs up and five stars for their wonderful staff and great help.

I followed up every few months to see where I was on the list and to let them know still needed it. Followed up again in February 2022 only to be notified they no longer have a wait list as they have new management. No phone call or emails to let me know. Thankfully found Tierra Verde Marina with better location, price and $.50 a gallon fuel discount. If I had not called in February, boat would have arrived with nowhere to store it.

Great place to spend and afternoon at the beach! There is a great playground right next to the…read morebeach and some great spots on each side to go fishing. There are 3-4 large pavilions on the beach, along with grills. There are a couple of volleyball courts as well. Showers and restrooms are located near the entrance/exit of the parking lot. A word of caution - there are some sharks in the waters, so you don't want to venture out past the no swimming signs that are clearly posted in the water. Two downsides to this location - there are no waves (I know that's no ones fault!) and the sand/beach area isn't maintained by a staff, so there is grass growing very close to the beach. One could argue that you get that "natural" beach feeling, so to each their own.

Beer can island is awesome! It's one of the primary reasons why we moved to Apollo Beach. The…read moreisland is 1.5 miles off of my boat dock and our kids love going there and hunting starfish and shells. It's more fun on the weekends but also more crowd. Dozens and dozens of boats will beach and anchor there put up tents and umbrellas and barbecue and just basically hang out. Rumor is beer can Island is privately owned and the person who owns it doesn't care if you party there. We have actually camped out there with campfire several times overnight. Labor Day, Fourth of July, Father's Day, and other weekends holidays are very popular. If you want to get a spot for your boat on one of these holidays I suggest showing up very early like eight or 9 AM. On the south east side of the island is a small cove with Deepwater where we pull up on our 32 foot express. We can basically beach the boat in that spot and still have plenty of water for the engines. When you're waiting around on the sandbar be sure to do the "stingray shuffle". Scoot your feet as you walk it's cooler to stingray to get out of your way so he won't step on them.

I've had the engine serviced and new upholstery, as well as other trim work repaired. the upholstery looks perfect, and as if is a brand new boat. I'm in the process of having it detailed and polished as well. the marina puts your boat into the water for you, cleans it when you return from your ride, and puts it back into storage. so convenient! I highly recommend them to anyone who would like to store their boat in dry dock with all conveniences.

It rained the night she moved my boat and it ruined ALL my photos of my daughters kindergarten through college photos. Christmas, anniversaries, birthday celebrations ALL lost because she moved my boat without my permission. Then assistant dockmaster Frank stole two of my chairs that were on the dock while I painted my back deck. I never met anyone ruder than Frank, if he's getting a tip he'll be nice..maybe. I witnessed so much rudeness and inequities in the 25 years that I lived there...I could write a book... I don't miss their mismanagement at all. If you get on the wrong side of these people they will treat you very unfairly, because they have the power to remove you and your boat whenever they want to.

There were several trophies to be won such as for best decorated boat. Alas, my boat that we entered here did not win in the parade, but I still had a great time hanging out here with the other like minded boaters. This is a nice local place for boaters of all types to come together and meet with each other for special events or just to chat about the salt life. I have been here many times since then, and always met with friendly crowds. There were 40 of us signed up for the Christmas Boat parade. Several of the boats were really decked out very nicely with tons of lights all over them. My boat had the Frozen theme decorated and lighted up all over it. This is where we met and held our boater safety meetings to go over how to safely maneuver our large group through the the canals. It is a great local place for boaters to gather and plan boating adventures. If you live in the Apollo Beach area I recommend stopping by sometime for a meeting and see if it's something you would like to get involved with. As most of the houses in this area either have their own private boat docks or have boats docked at one of the marinas in the area.
