They had to punch holes in the drywall to feed the wire up to the attic, which they patched without being asked. Matt was great. When I initially called about my power problem he told me it might be something that the electric company could fix. I appreciated this very much because if it was something they would have fixed it would have been free. While another person I called told me it would be close to 200 hundred dollars just for them to come out and they did not tell me about the possibility of the power company fixing it. So, this same night I had someone from the electric company come out and found out it was something they did not cover so I called Matt back and he agreed to fit me in the next morning before I went to work. Matt came ahead of schedule which I appreciated because he knew I was working later and would not be home. He investigated and determined what the issue was and how to fix it. He gave me my options and let me figure out what I wanted to do. He said he would have came back that day but I decided the next morning would work better so I could be at my job on time. He came the next morning bright and early as I requested and fixed my electricity up lickity split. The main reason I would recommend Apollo is because Matt was honest which is the number one quality for someone working on your home. He was also timely and efficient. I paid Matt before completion of a $9755 job. I trusted him as he was a friend's neighbor and came recommended. But he got mad at me because I complained that the he didn't separate two units of the house into separate sub-panels. He did refund approximately the amount for a line item relating to the separation of circuits. Later I found that he had mis-wired the dryer as a 120V circuit, and also wired up two 120V circuits to a 240V dual-pole breaker. But, he neglected to finish or refund $280 worth of work that was on the invoice. Moreover, he left a major junction box in the attic attached only to a loose board sitting on rafters, and he wired an additional circuit into a breaker box in the attic, which are against Scottsdale code to begin with. I've talked with another electrician I trust and he estimated about $3000 to correct the half-finished work Matt left behind. I called the city of Scottsdale and confirmed that the work as-is would be in violation of code, but unfortunately, they apparently did not inpsect this part - just the panel replacement. For any work that requires attention to details or communication, I would look elsewhere. Unfortunately, there was no written contract, so while there was a gap in our communication, the AZ ROC was unable to find violation of any contract. read more

I had an issue with my kitchen outlets and all my master bedroom outlets were no longer working. I had a short in the toaster which caused the kitchen issue and I compounded the problem by testing the toaster in the bedroom Everything else in the house was fine I called Matt, described the issue, he told me to go out to the panel and turn on off all the breakers which I had in the dark the night of the incident. I strongly recommend Matt and Apollo Electric for terrific service. On a cold Sunday night our lights and heat were going on and off erratically throughout the house. I called Apollo Electric and left a frantic message about my plight. Knowing it was late on a Sunday night, I wasn't sure I would receive a reply. However, Matt called back shortly and said he'd be out first thing the next morning. On Monday morning he showed up and replaced the main circuit breaker which had burned out. A week later another issue had developed. Again I called Matt and although he was headed on a flight out of town the same afternoon, he came out right away. He replaced the GFI circuit switch and repaired another area at no additional cost. How's that for service and dependability! We recently purchased a 25 year old home that needed many updates including new interior and exterior ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, and new wiring run for exterior blinds among many other things. I've had Matt over to do some work on my house several times. He's awesome. Most recently I had trouble with some electrical running in the back of my home and to the only outlet in the yard. My fiancée and I are getting the yard ready for our rehersal dinner and this outlet was causing lots of stress. Not only that but it's tied to our pool light so that wasn't working. we needed all of this to tie everything together. All the pool people were quoting me $500 plus to fix the light and electrical. they had no idea what was going on. Matt and his team came in and knocked it out in a matter of a couple of hours. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and get my electrical outlets up and running. Although he wasn't the most affordable, his timeliness made it all worth while.
