Matt: Sent over a quote to do a few things at our home and my wife agreed to the $750.00 charge thinking there was a lot to do. He came over and was very nice however it took him 40 minutes to change some wire in the panel and add a ground wire to the pool equipment. A portion of the time he was on a call with his father. Seams outrageously high for a 40 minute job. He showed up in a pick up with a rototiller in the back and a small bag of tools. Did not have the metal box to finish the take off of the EV charger. The quote for also installing a GFI 4 plug outlet. We decided not to do that. He did not deduct that from final bill. A tough call. He was nice however I feel I was drastically overcharged for work done. I guess he thinks he is a brain surgeon and performed brain surgery. He will respond with, We agreed to be ripped off. I would not hire him again and suggest that you fully discuss the work prior. Home owners beware. read more

Matt is awesome! I had recently purchased a Scottsdale vacation home, and being out of state, I wasn't sure if I was going to find a good electrician. Apparently, during one of the recent Monsoons, and lightening storms. I had a power surge and all of my breakers flipped. I flipped all of them back on, but several can lights and my dining room chandelier was not working. Of course it happens, right before my departure in the morning. So I figure I'd fix it later. Matt scheduled an appointment to install an EV charger at our home IN THE AFTERNOON for my daughter's car since she works nights. She reiterated 3 times that the appointment needed to be in the afternoon. Matt showed up at 9:45 AM -- NOT the afternoon-- knocked on the door and called, but my daughter didn't answer because she was sleeping. When she called him back, Matt was sarcastic and said he MIGHT come back Monday to do it if someone would actually answer the door this time. When her dad called to ask why he didn't come at the appointment time in the afternoon, Matt's response was, "I don't know what to say to that." He immediately became defensive and started yelling. I called for a free estimate of how much it would be to install an electric car home charging station and the guy, Mike or Matt (whatever his name is) was very rude to me and disrespected me by suddenly hanging up on me over the phone. I'm a paying customer and usually people collect some information FIRST, before moving on with the service and payments. I think what I'm asking is very specific so I just wanted to make sure this electrician had the information I needed. The installation of the electric station would need to be done at my garage of my condo. I don't know why this sounded so strange and out of place but I'll surely remember this terrible experience and discourage anyone from calling these unprofessional people. Matt from Apollo Electric is superb with timely communication, his honesty, and timeliness. We had new water heater replaced and found out that when it died it probably fried our breaker at the box. In order to make sure we had hot water for the house, he came over near the end of the day and replaced the breaker. I think that the $190 charge was a little steep for the total of 15 minutes worth of work he did replacing the breaker but he did say "sorry". I think it must be his standard hourly charge. I wish he would have said, you have paid for an hour is there any other electrical work I can complete in the 45 minutes you paid for. LIFE SAVER! I had 2 electricians cancel on me after being without power for a couple of days. I finally had SRP coming out and needed an electrician there at the same time to replace a main breaker. I looked on Yelp, found Apollo, and called. Matt answered and was able to making it over in time (1 hour). We had to wait for SRP to remove the panel to see what kind of breaker we needed. It is not every day you get someone who tells you you don't need to spend thousands of dollars! My husband and I are purchasing a new home and were told by our inspector that our Bus Bar on the electrical panel possibly needs to be replaced. We sent the inspection report to three electricians to get quotes. Matthew responded within hours telling us that our Bus Bar was fine and in fact,​ was copper which tends to discolor but is actually higher quality. The other two electricians came back with bids around $2500! We had a separate inspector go back to the property and he confirmed that Matthew was correct. Help in a crisis! I had another electrician move a couple of outlets in preparation for the installation of built-in cabinets. As the cabinets were being installed, I discovered that one of the outlets had been moved to the wrong place. The original electrician was unavailable to fix his mistake.
