The lady hits my car parked car, says "so what" and gives us this shady Texas based insurance from someone's back yard. If the name Apollo doesn't scream scam or a "front" for insurance then I don't know what does. But, trusting the process, hoping that Texas has some basic laws about insurance practice we filed a claim. Apollo came back saying we're not doing anything because the insured has decided not to cooperate... and we can't make her cooperate. I laughed at their response. I guess in Texas cooperating with accidents you cause is an option. G'luck ya'll, welcome to Texas freedom where everything goes. If you've been the unlucky one hit, then you're not getting paid or will get paid sweatshop prices. Such a scam of company.

rear ended 9/23/24 by insured driver of Home State Co Ins / Apollo MGA. Dealing w/ this company has been a nightmare ever since. As several others have stated, assigned adjusters will stall & delay for weeks while coincidentally claiming to be "unable to reach their insured driver for statement" so that they can use this as reason to flat out deny claims. Even in clear cut cases when all evidence is there. Should you ever have to deal w/ this shady company, I suggest you be prepared to immediately seek legal assistance or submit claim through your very own insurance company, then allow them to deal w/ Apollo MGA. God forbid you miss a call from the adjuster (if/when they decide to call) because you'll only be greeted w/their voicemail upon numerous attempts to return their call. Then their general claims dept will advise that your assigned adjuster is the only 1 that can give info regarding claim status & kindly transfer you back to the adjuster's voicemail or "place urgent callback request". So better be prepared to have phone in hand @ all times; despite having to work or other daily tasks that may interfere w/ your ability to always be available when they call you. Maria Varona was assigned adjuster in my case and with her frequent days "out of the office" (per her voicemail greeting), I too experienced multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach her by phone. Attempts to reach her via email is also without response. In the meantime, I'm left without a vehicle b/c of course the company doesn't pay rental fees upfront but rather "will reimburse later", IF YOUR CLAIM IS APPROVED. Otherwise, you're stuck w/ the bill. After 5wks of still claiming inability to reach insured driver, I then rcvd a call from Kim Wallach, (representing herself as claims mgr) in a somewhat aggressive manner, informing me of claim denial d/t insured driver's failure to cooperate w/ investigation. I immediately reached out to insured driver, low & behold, she promptly responds & reports prior unsuccessful attempts to reach adjuster. She then immediately contacts Apollo to give her statement, but of course adjuster is once again out of office for a few days. Subsequent calls then led to claims mgr Kim Wallach being reached by insured driver. However, claims mgr decides to schedule phone appt (w/insured driver) for the following week rather than taking time out to accept recoded statement at that time (while readily available). So here we are again - another missed opportunity to collect pertinent info from their insured driver. Shame on you Apollo MGA!! It is obvious that you are not acting in good faith and must be stopped. Remember that you & your loved ones also have to commute on these roadways and could be forced to deal w/these shenanigans 1 day. People please check their F grade rating on better business bureau and save yourself the stress & headache if you can. NEXT STOP - Texas Dept of Ins.

If your car is totaled by one of their insured drivers, hire a lawyer immediately. The quotes for injury and car are very lowballed amounts.

Can I give this company a 0 STAR? I took my car in because the check engine light came on and it…read morewas smoking -- clearly something serious. Instead of focusing on helping resolve the issue, it felt like Smart Auto Care was looking for the smallest possible reason to deny my claim. From the beginning, the process felt more like an investigation against me than support for a paying customer. Rather than trying to work toward a solution, they seemed focused on technicalities and fine print. In the end, my claim was denied, and I was left dealing with a major repair on my own. When you're already stressed about car trouble, the last thing you need is to feel like the company is working against you. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend Smart Auto Care. Make sure you read every detail of your contract and don't expect them to give you the benefit of the doubt. I tried to find a solution and find the middle ground but they are not willing to work something out! DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

The good: - They did cover a few things they were supposed…read moreto after some hounding from the mechanics. The bad (an abbreviated list): - When we really needed it for a failed engine still in the warranty period and mileage, the claim was denied because the head gasket developed a small leak that ruined the engine over time, and it wasn't a "lubricated engine part" that failed. Also because the mechanics, after months of waiting, installed the engine before the warranty company rendered a final verdict (which was going to be a no anyway), they also denied the claim on the basis of "breach of contract." - They make up their own numbers and decide what they will theoretically compensate based on those arbitrary and fictional numbers. The actual cost of the repair(s) is irrelevant. - They are absolutely awful for the people who have to actually call them (the mechanics), earning a "worst warranty company I have ever had to deal with in my years as a mechanic" comment from one of them. *Hours* on hold, no responses, etc. - They constantly move the goalposts for what is needed for proof of damage and repair. Can't just send photos, they'll probably have to fly an inpector in so their denial is even more expensive for the vict--er--customer. - They charge you for the work they require in order to determine if they will cover the repair, meaning when they say no it will cost you additional hundreds or thousands of dollars (thousands in our case). It would have saved us a lot of money not to file the claim on our engine when it went out. - They drag their feet and waste hours and hours of the time of the people who have the unfortunate obligation of dealing with them. - Because they are so slow and terrible to deal with, days' worth of repair turns into weeks, and weeks' worth of repair turns into months. If you have a personal fleet, and all the time in the world, maybe that wouldn't bother you. - Their interest is not in customer care in the slightest, but entirely in maximizing profits. Ethics don't exist. They're actively looking for any reason to deny claims, especially if they've paid anything holding up their end of the deal in the past. - They habitually say they will cover this or that, and then go back and change their mind. They did this multiple times across different repairs and claims. - In the end, this warranty cost us more than it was worth, and that was even after they covered some of the smaller repairs. I could go on with further issues, but this short list should explain it well enough to make the point. - In summary: Just burn a pile of money instead of giving it to this "business." At least that is kind of fun to watch, and you're not helping scammers operating under the guise of legitimacy.
