From the initial consultation until the end of the project, Apollo Roofing was the way to go. Ben and his team came on site for a thorough and detailed walkthrough of what I wanted and was open and honest about the job, suggestions, and timeline. What started out as "skylight replacements" ended up with a full re-seal of the roof along with a few other enhancements. We were well overdue for a re-seal and only replacing the skylights wasn't going to guarantee a real fix to the leaking. Ben was transparent about this and I truly felt he was sincere about the recommendations he made. Ben wanted to be sure of the project, so he even had additional team members come out a second time for confirmation of what to do (and what could be done). We then agreed to a full re-seal on the front (slightly angled) roof, top (flat) roof, as well as a 50-foot by 3-foot perimeter re-seal of the back roof. Additionally, (3) 31x50 custom skylights were installed along with the replacement of a clear roofing panel above the shared stairwell/lightwell (and properly weatherproofed). We had (4) contractors come do consultations and in the end, went with Apollo. They happened to come in as the lowest pricing (ranging from $17K-25K), even with the additional enhancements that were agreed to (all other contractors were higher simply on the front/top roof portion). We engaged the project (~$19K) and they started shortly after the initially committed time (some delays due to permits). Work was estimated for one week with majority of it finished ahead of time. It ran over into a second week until the team could get back out, also delayed due to weather. Overall, very pleased with the project. The Apollo team was professional at all times (especially while on site), courteous, clean, and no issues. Communication could have been better at times (i.e. start/end work times, crew instruction), but all in all it was a great experience! I am changing my review to a 5++! On the 1st rain, after 2 months after the roof was completed, my roof leaked at exactly the same place that triggered me to do a complete reroofing on my house. I had water raining inside my bedroom at 2 am. I was panicked and in tears. I called my project manager, Nicholas, and he said Apollo will fix if it was their problem. Panicked that they might not honor their warranty, I called the office and spoke to Christine and she assured me they would honor the warranty and fix the problem. Being a single senior female, and having been taken advantage of by many contractors, I was absolutely worried, especially after spending almost $30,000 with Apollo. In the end Nicholas, the project manager, arranged for the repair to why the roof leaked, and arranged to have the sheet rock that was ruined from the rain to be replaced. I am so happy that all has been resolved. Apollo honored the warranty and stepped up to fix the stain on my ceiling. I cannot give the highest praise to Nicholas( the Best Project Manager!) that put up with all of my panicked calls; and the companies greatest value...their front office workers: Christine, Candice, and Megan, that put up with all my anxious calls and requests for copies of my warranty and agreements. After being a real "Nay" sayer, I am now an absolutely "Yeh" on Apollo Roofing Company! 5+++ rating! It took a bit for me to get here, but I found Apollo honored and backed their work. We recently had to replace our roof on our home in Novato. We invited and scheduled four separate roofing companies to bid on the project. We ended up hiring Apollo Roofing Company for the job. Their overall bid / proposal was the most in-depth and comprehensive. Additionally, they had a very comparable proposal price for the project. The project manager / rep for the project was Benjamin Eli. Benjamin was Awesome, very professional and a real pleasure to work with. From his initial site visit to give us a proposal, Benjamin was extremely polite, prompt and thoroughly explained Apollo's process regarding our roof replacement. My wife and I recently bought our house in Oakland, and after being forced to flee to our downstairs guest room for relief from the heat in our upstairs bedroom (on a raised half-floor), we knew we needed to do something about it for our years ahead in the home. I saw some notes on attic fans offering a low cost way to reduce heat buildup, and started searching for a contractor with little to no idea of what I wanted. I met with a number of qualified providers, but Benjamin stood in making a strong point to educate me fully on the options available (attic insulation vs torch down vs TPO), provide his recommendation on what did/didn't make sense, and work with me on finding a solution that fit my price range. We eventually settled on a polyfresco cap layer on 3-layer torch down, with a turbine vent installed on the raised part of our roof to help with attic insulation. They also connected me with their preferred solar partner to capitalize on the rebates before end of year, and when it turned out this would require installing a DensDeck for anchoring, they actually added it in below cost. Installation was smooth and speedy, all in all 3-days of work from teardown to install to cleanup. My wife and I have already noticed a difference, earlier we'd be hit by a wave of heat coming into our bedroom, and now it's completely resolved! A portion of our roof eve had rotted out due to poor construction 35 years ago. I finally got around to having it fixed and received bids from three roofing companies, one of which was Apollo. Benjamin with Apollo came out in person and surveyed the roof, with a drone. I thought that was a good way to do the survey, plus I could see up close any other issues. I described what I wanted to repair and put the eve together the way it should have been done originally. He gave me a quote. Well, now that it is done, I definitely made the right decision. We hired Apollo to replace our old tar and gravel roof with shingles and torch down + gutter. The results look fantastic - we have before and after pictures that show the quality difference. Their quote was fair and honest compared to other contractors who tried to push more expensive options. The team was responsive throughout the project and genuinely cared about our satisfaction til completion. We also had them handle some wood rot repair on eaves, fascia, and rafter tails and made sure we were satisfied with their work. There were a few minor areas that we both initially missed - so it's important that both parties be attentive to this up front and be specific throughout the initial walkthrough. Following up on my previous review now that the roof job is complete! We are very happy with the final result - we had to navigate through tough weather which delayed the project a few times, but Benjamin was very communicative throughout the delays. Regarding the project itself, there were a few issues that came up as they took off the original roof (finding an additional layer of shingle, some wood that needed to be replaced, etc...). Benjamin and the team were very fair and helped to absorb some of the costs associated with these to keep the project as close to the quote as possible.
