I used Apollo for a roundtrip airport journey last week (a drop off and a pick up). The pros: online booking! Don't have to wait for a callback, easy to schedule. Price was reasonable, and rate + tip made sense. Did not feel there were obnoxious fees added. I liked the pre-pay option so I just got out at the end of the ride with no need for paperwork. I appreciated the text updates when the driver was on location. The cons: Text alerts tell you driver and give his photo, but don't tell you the car information. For an airport pickup, it is helpful to know the car model, color, license plate. That shouldn't be too hard. Also, my morning ride to the airport was 15 minutes late. On pickup, the driver would not leave the holding lot until I confirmed I was outside, despite texting when I was off the plane and walking out. It added an unnecessary wait. While driver was friendly, this, and not turning down music during a phone call, didn't seem quite as professional / polished as I would have liked. UPDATED REVIEW: after the delay, the owner reached out and made good on their on time guarantee without any hesitation. Proactively refunded. That's about as strong of a service recovery as there is. This business has no drivers left, something is wrong. I requested to be picked up from the Ft. Lauderdale boat show, to bring me home in 6 hours for Saturday Nov. 2 ND. I was told we have no drivers ? Is that not like going to Dunkin Donuts and they have no coffee or donuts. Very bad management obviously. We have used Apollo Transportation several times and every sigle time it has been a great experience! The drivers have always been on time (20 mins early!!) and they all have been very professional. The cars have always been in great shape. Last weekend we took my daughter and her friends to the American Girl Doll down in Miami, FL. We rented a streched hummer for the day and I have to say, it was an awesome experience for us and the girls!!! The car was perfect! The kids were so excited!! It was a surprise for my daugther so it was very important for me that everything went according to plan. The experience far exceeded my expectations!! There was no option for zero stars, so I am forced to leave one. I pre-purchased and pre-paid for a Corporate company and a large event we had in Boca Raton for travel to and from FLL airport for about 115 people. On arrival the driver was not dressed professionally and had a bad attitude, laid on the couches at the pick up location like if he was at home. One of our employees rode on the bus for all trips (9 total) to accompany our guests and driver made several food stops at burger kings and taco bell's on OUR DIME and TIME. He showed up late to one pickup and when I called to ask if he was close his answer was "I guess". I wrote a complaint to the company and it took them 2 days to answer, which then lead to multiple phone calls and emails asking to remove this review.. My PERSONAL OPINION & advice to other consumers - NEVER use this company read more

We hired Apollo to provide a 55 passenger bus between our hotel and the restaurant we were having our rehearsal dinner at in Palm Beach in early May 2009. We paid for 5 hours and at the end of the 5th hour my husband thought he had confirmed with the bus driver that we wanted to pay for an additional 6th hour so that we could stay out a little longer with our guests. The driver never returned and we had over 25 people stranded outside the restaurant waiting for a bus that never came. We called the driver's cell phone multiple times but no answer. We then called Apollo directly and they could not reach the driver either. They did not offer us any alternative transportation or other solution so after 45 minutes of standing around outside (many ladies in heels mind you) we gave up and had to take several $50+ cab rides back to the hotel (luckily we found several van taxis). So the night before my wedding me (the bride) and many of our guests were exhausted not to mention irritated at having to find other transport back to the hotel at close to 2 in the morning and not getting to sleep until after 3am. And now I have puffy eyes in many of my wedding day photos (thank god for photoshop!!!) When Apollo's manager called me Sunday after my wedding to discuss what happened, he basically said the driver told him that the driver had said to my husband he wasn't coming back and there was no agreement to extend an extra hour. The manager also said that they don't accept requests for extensions "when people have been drinking" since they have a problem with people asking for more time and then refusing to pay for it or claiming they never really authorized it. When I said that shouldn't have been an issue especially since we also called Apollo directly and asked for alternative transportation after the bus never returned and they couldn't get a hold of the driver, the manager basically blew us off. I asked for a credit for the difference between the cost of the taxis and the extra hour rental, but did not receive one after spending close to 40 minutes on the phone with the manager, not to mention that he did not even really offer an apology, just excuses. Basically, poor customer service and no concern about leaving the bride and groom and many of their guests stranded the night before the wedding. This is on top of the fact that on the way from the hotel to the restaurant location, the driver took a slow local route instead of the highway making us 20 minutes late for our own rehearsal dinner (we're still not sure whether he was lost or what). read more
