My Children's doctor works just above ABD so we used it the first few times just out of convenience. We quickly became loyal customers and have moved all our prescriptions to them. Why five stars? One one occasion when they didn't have the medicine we needed, one of the pharmacists actually put on his coat and drove to another pharmacy to get it... WHILE WE WAITED! Is that awesome customer service. They have also stayed open for an extra ten minutes when I had to get my son's medication but couldn't make it there before closing. Can you believe that? What you get at ABD is old fashioned service that I thought perished from this planet in the 1950's. They smile, they are good natured and they will always do what ever they have to in order to get you your script, and all with a great attitude. I can't thank them enough! read more

ABD may be good in person but trying to deal with their CVS component while being a mail order customer/client is nearly impossible and completely unreliable. Weekend/emergency pharmacy services are impossible to reach and seem non-existent. Their phone and email/messaging system does not usually work for me. They try to ship all of my meds in one order per month but at the point they send the order, I am usually out of one med that is critical for me, when I asked for them to shift the critical med to another shipment cycle, it was ignored. I am switching to another pharmacy and I suggest that other mail order patients do the same before it becomes an issue. read more

I went to Apothecary upon the suggestion of a friend who swears by an herbal/naturopathic cold remedy sold here. The place is a little confusing at first because there's also a real pharmacy and a coffee shop sharing the space, but it there's a staff member that specifically answers questions and helps with the naturopathic items, so it was easy enough to find what I was looking for. Jump ahead to the next morning, I went to take two capsules of the magic cold medicine and to my surprise, the bottle was empty. I'd only taken three doses of two pills each so where were the rest. Did they spill in my bag? Fall out in my car? Nope. They were just missing. I went to Apothecary to inquire about the missing capsules and they were nice enough about exchanging for another bottle - but we were all a little incredulous. On further examination, it was clear that someone had removed the top of the bottle without breaking the seal, taken what they needed and put the bottle back. Not Apotecary's fault but a little daunting. I doubt this is common at Apothecary and as I said, they were really nice about the exchange process. Pro tip: they have a really great rewards card that you can use across all the Apothecary businesses. Get one! read more

After mentioning that a prescription I'd ordered had more than doubled in price, the pharmacist started questioning me; asking whether I bought other items at this store and kept telling me this prescription was for a 'controlled' substance. It was a bizarre interaction and made me extremely uptight. I will never use this pharmacy again. read more

We were referred here by my sons Doctor because they are very well stocked and can mail is what we need. I just figured a normal pharmacy, that was certainly not what we ran into. First, it's huge!!! Second I saw what looked like and additional store. Checked it out and it was FULL of homeopathic remedies, vitamins, tinctures, and natural products. Tons to look at!! They even have a coffee bar in there. We looked around while waiting for the prescriptions we needed to be filled. I managed to find a natural toothpaste for sensitive teeth, natural pomade for my hubs, and ear candles. Then I looked closer and noticed in the pharmacy section that there were chemical medicines right next to natural alternatives. I saw the natural feminine products and thought I'd be crazy impressed if they had menstrual cups and sure enough, they did!!! Staff was super nice and extremely helpful. They set us up for free shipping moving forward and we they will ship supplements as well. You can either call to refill, order via an app or through their website. This pharmacy is incredible. Because of a last minute scheduling change in my IVF treatment, it wasn't until 9PM that I realized that I was missing an injection which was critical to my treatment plan. In a panic, I called the Apothecary by Design emergency line and explained to the on call pharmacist my dire circumstance. He left his home, in a blizzard, and drove to the pharmacy at 10PM so I could get this critical injection. IVF treatment is very expensive, and injections need to be done at approx. the same time every night. Without this pharmacist going above and beyond, our entire cycle could have been compromised and thousands of dollars down the drain. We highly recommend this pharmacy. read more
