My texts from CVS. Looks like they just forgot one thing: to notify me that weren't going to honor my reservation.

Unreliable for COVID PCR test! Several days ago I booked a COVID pcr test for this morning, as I needed results to travel within 3 days. The scheduling process online was very easy. Immediately i got an email confirmation with a code and list of necessary items. Then I got a handy text reminder yesterday, and two more helpful text reminders today, one was a handy YouTube video on exactly how to do a drive through test at the location. I arrived on time and there was no line or anything but I was told they had decided to cancel all today's PCR appointments due to being short staffed. They never bothered calling texting or emailing me to let me know this info. If they had maybe I could have found another drive through today. Ever tried to schedule a same-day drive through PCR test? Yeah, good luck with that. This was a huge lapse in customer service. Never going there again.

Ughhh. At this visit I learned the flu shots given by the pharmacy are covered by insurance, and the shots given by the Minute Clinic are not. Interestingly enough, I asked about the shot initially at the pharmacy, was asked what insurance I had and was told to go to the Minute Clinic. I waited about 20 minutes, was called into the room and was only then told insurance doesn't cover the shot at the Minute Clinic. So frustersting that the pharmacy was too busy to just say that. The Rite Aid down the street closed which has caused this location to be innundated with customers. I said screw it and paid $50 for the shot out of pocket because I couldn't be bothered to go elsewhere and wait again. I had an upcoming work trip and needed the shot asap.

Ridiculous that it's not possible to talk to a human. I will return to Walgreens in the future.

I'm not a huge fan of the new layout. I miss the old messy cvs! This store seems too sparse and the aisles are weird. Not a good flow.

PLEASE NOTE: This review is specifically for the pharmacy…read more I continue to appreciate this pharmacy and currently I *super* appreciate the drive-through window. Also, I like: 1. Their automated system. I know this is a little thing, but it's so nice to know that I never need to check-in on those recurring prescriptions to make sure they've actually gone through. I get texts letting me know when things are ready, and phone calls from real people if I don't come in within a few days past when they can see my prescription has run out. If they do have to restock my prescription because I totally flaked and didn't come in, it takes just minutes for them to put the order back together. 2. The people who work. Time and time again I've seen them demonstrate patience, responsibility and respectfulness, and going the little extra mile with their regulars (to really get to know them and work with them). I've never been upsold, I've never been talked down to, and my privacy has always been taken very seriously. Whenever a concern comes up, I know I can talk to the pharmacist and get a real answer from a real person. I said it before, and I'll say it again: I know that pharmacies aren't necessarily the sexiest or coolest things in the world to a) talk about or b) go to, but everybody needs them. And THIS is the place in town that's going to keep you sane and healthy so you can go do all those sexy, cool things you want to do! (SIDE NOTE: In the warmer weather there's a terrible infestation of wasps under the eaves at the entrance. Do not park on this side of the lot!)

Sure it's in an old building but it's clean inside and everything is neatly arranged. I thought prices were very reasonable on most items. They have Mens, Womens, Kids Cloths, Shoes, Kitchen Accessories, Household Goods, Hardware, Carpets, Medicine, Cleaning Supplies, Maine Made products, Toys,Outdoor Camping Equipment, Souvenirs, Post Cards, Candy and some Food just to name a few. And looked at the lobster bake supplies, and clothing, and shoes. All great items for camping or for your home at great prices. I had asked if they had a bathroom, and they said no. And later as I'm walking around, I notice all the business say no bathroom on the outside of their door. Not even if you're a customer. A lot of homelessness that has made it difficult for paying customers to use the bathrooms. It's sad, cause I had done hours of walking around Old Port and Portland area, and there's no place to go to the bathroom. Times have changed

**November 2025: Friday Night Visit**…read more I needed to pick up some quart size sandwich bags, and this super market had that and so much more. I'm amazed by how huge this store was and the variety of everything you could ever need and more. I also liked that there are different sections that have Maine Made items and that there are little signs that say "local" if you wanted to pick up some regional items. I really wanted to pick up some fresh Maine milk, and Maple BBQ sauce, but unfortunately since I was at the tail end of my roadtrip I couldn't take much expect for a small bag of salt and vinegar potato chips and my sandwich bags; however, if I come back to Portland, I'll know where I can buy some regional goodies!

There are plenty of pre-made options if you're looking for food on the go (although the chicken wings at $9.99 a pound are a total rip off), a dedicated local product section (please expand!), and some interesting international offerings (chive dumplings!). My only complaint is that it is weirdly organized - like the pasta sauce and pasta section at the end of the wine aisle (wine and pasta do go together, but in a grocery store?). I would love to see this location expand the local and international offerings, and maybe have some kind of newsletter? It feels like a community hub, and I know they do a lot to help the immigrant community but it wasn't very apparent to me as a customer.
