Don't come here expecting speedy service at the pharmacy. These people look exhausted and clearly don't care any more than they have to. I came in to get free Covid tests, and they told me I have to wait 20 minutes to get 4 test boxes handed to me. This was after waiting in line for ten minutes. Go to Osco for much better service. The only reason I'm here is that Osco is closed for lunch. read more

Unreliable for COVID PCR test! Several days ago I booked a COVID pcr test for this morning, as I needed results to travel within 3 days. The scheduling process online was very easy. Immediately i got an email confirmation with a code and list of necessary items. Then I got a handy text reminder yesterday, and two more helpful text reminders today, one was a handy YouTube video on exactly how to do a drive through test at the location. I arrived on time and there was no line or anything but I was told they had decided to cancel all today's PCR appointments due to being short staffed. They never bothered calling texting or emailing me to let me know this info. If they had maybe I could have found another drive through today. Ever tried to schedule a same-day drive through PCR test? Yeah, good luck with that. This was a huge lapse in customer service. Never going there again. read more

Ughhh. At this visit I learned the flu shots given by the pharmacy are covered by insurance, and the shots given by the Minute Clinic are not. Interestingly enough, I asked about the shot initially at the pharmacy, was asked what insurance I had and was told to go to the Minute Clinic. I waited about 20 minutes, was called into the room and was only then told insurance doesn't cover the shot at the Minute Clinic. So frustersting that the pharmacy was too busy to just say that. The Rite Aid down the street closed which has caused this location to be innundated with customers. I said screw it and paid $50 for the shot out of pocket because I couldn't be bothered to go elsewhere and wait again. I had an upcoming work trip and needed the shot asap. read more

Location for me is usually what hooks me in. This location is right off of a main road, Auburn street - with a stop light, so you don't have to fight or peel out to try to make a left turn into the strip mall area :) I usually cringe when I have to shop in a strip mall plaza type of area, because people driving through are more focused on getting to their business rather than looking for pedestrians walking through the lot. HOWEVER, no worries here, because this location is at the end of the plaza and there is even a drive thru! The engineers and architects made it happen. Parking - Because it is on the end there is parking in front and on the side, for more of quiet parking experience. The store is very organized and clean, the aisles are well marked and the shelves aren't 50 feet high, so it feels very open. There is staff usually on the floor organizing and stocking shelves and they are willing and able to offer assistance, which they do! They never seem annoyed to help a customer in need. I have used the pharmacy once and it was a pretty quick transaction. It was ready when promised and there wasn't a huge line and it was mid day on a Saturday, I was impressed. The staff member that helped me was less than friendly - no smile or eye contact and mumbled his way through the interaction asking me the required questions, but that's fine, he did his job. However, friendly customer service is part of my rating...hence 4 stars. The front register staff has been excellent every time. They ask the standard questions, smile and say good bye and ready to great the next customer. Product availability - I am always able to find what I am looking for, in the health and beauty section, the food aisle and the vitamin aisle. The strange part is that they seem to always been on sale...yes, strange good part. MinuteClinic recently opened! Yay! I haven't used it yet, but the nurse practitioner seemed very nice. This is now my regular CVS. If you are in the area, you shouldn't hesitate to use this store. read more

The pharmacy is understaffed but it is no excuse for the poor customer service and disregard to wanting to help customers. I had a prescription I NEEDED for that night and when I went hours after it was called in, it wasn't ready. Fine. I had a prior engagement I couldn't miss. I called saying I was slated to be there at exactly 8pm and they said they couldn't guarantee they'd be open as they close at 8. I walked into the pharmacy at 7:59pm as the gate was closing and they wouldn't help me. The entire management team should be fired. We will never shop at this CVS ever again for anything. read more

I always come here for my prescriptions, and EVERY pharmacist and tech has always been extremely friendly and helpful! I don't think I've ever had to wait over 10 minutes for a walk-in prescription. While I've heard and experienced firsthand many pharmacy horror stories (not from here, of course), the staff does a great job of smiling and not rushing the customers. Thanks! read more

Oh my goodness! What a clean, well organized CVS. This review is for the Minute Clinic, however, specifically Ideh the NP. I got both a TB test injection and a flu shot today and let me tell you- I'm kind of a baby with needles. Not only was she one of the sweetest health care professionals I have EVER met, she was also one of the most skilled I have ever encountered!! I barely felt either of the pokes, I didn't wince or cringe at all. She talked me through both injections and made me feel so comfortable. I wish I could have her on retainer for any time I need to encounter a needle! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Minute Clinic, and Ideh (pronounced like ee-day). What a sweetheart! read more

I would give my recent experiences zero stars if I could. A couple months ago, I went to pick up a prescription at the drive-thru. I was told that the cost was over $100 because it was not covered by insurance. This is a recurring prescription and I asked her to double check but she refused. I had to go in and ask the pharmacist...he reprocessed the error and the correct charge was $3.60. Today, after waiting in line for 45 minutes, I was told that their systems were down and I could not get my prescriptions. They did not know when things would be fixed. So I had to come home and tell my friend that he couldn't have his anti-anxiety medication. Hopefully we won't end up in the emergency room. read more

I have shopped at CVS Northgate for quite a long time. The store is large, the staff is helpful and cooperative in general. Usually it is easy to find what is needed and there are enough people on staff, even in these times, to help when necessary. The computer system tied to one's discounts, prescriptions, online purchases is easy to use. Ordering prescriptions and checking on them is comparatively easy by computer or the automatic "phone guy". With these difficult times, I know the phone system has not been accurate with up-to-date notices about test times, available products and other information (throughout the organization). Staff is extremely busy, however, if the phone system was kept up-to-date, they might be less busy. Also, I use the Pharmacy often. These people are also extremely busy. They handle the meds well, they don't handle the people very well. I have called and been left on the phone for over 15 min, which is not good customer service. It's taken days for prescriptions to be completed and I was unable to reach anyone for a status. Again, people would be less busy if the small things were done once. It's difficult to face another trip into the Pharmacy. And I understand how tough it is for them right now. read more

This place is where I most commonly(if not always) go for my medical needs! Ranging from a small band-aid to a set of pills for serious illness! The main exterior is very simple and yet attractive. With bike parking and a chart for the closing/opening times. Did I mention there are separate Rx Times? Yes. They do take the serious business first. Because the times are very early! Plus. The staff is extremely nice! The best part about it is that this place is much more than just a pharmacy. It's a store! With Flash drives. Candy. Furniture. Even makeup! So go ahead! I'm not sure what's going on at this CVS but the pharmacist was incredibly rude. A family member went to pick up a prescription and the pharmacist very aggressively said that the pharmacy was closed even though it hadn't reached closing time yet. The pharmacist said that it would take twenty minutes to process his prescription and there was no time. This is ridiculous since the prescription had already been filled. She told my family member that they had to come back the next day and leave and if they didn't she would call the police. Needless to say we're never going back there again. read more

I cannot express what a positive experience I had getting a drive-through Covid test today. From booking it online ahead of time with almost no notice to getting the test done, they made everything super easy and had great service. Booking the test was simple and fast and once I arrived, a kind employee did an excellent job guiding me through the steps. It took about two minutes in total and cost nothing. CVS Northgate has been my pharmacy for years. They have added a drive thru and modernized the layout years ago. What sets them apart in my eyes is the very high level of customer service that the pharmacists and staff always provide. They go above and beyond to help find additional discounts or to research billing or insurance copay issues. I find their customer care genuine and refreshing in an era of automated pharmaceutical care. My go to man there is Joe...he is a consummate professional and a great pharmacist. I visited the MinuteClinic at the Northgate CVS on a Saturday afternoon. The online tools for reserving a time or checking the current wait were a great option, and I would have used the reservation tool had there been a wait. However, I walked right in, completed a few basic questions on a touchscreen outside the exam room, and was seen straight away. The exam room was clean, though the floor could have used a sweep (some sand was tracked in). It was bright and looked like your traditional doctor's exam room. Ideh, the Nurse Practitioner, was knowledgeable, as well as being kind, empathetic, and compassionate. She was concerned about cleanliness and did sterilize her hands before the exam. I explained what I believed was wrong, and she asked pertinent questions, took vital signs and did a quick exam, and confirmed the diagnosis. She was able to prescribe a medication and send it right to the pharmacy. It was quick and easy. My wait at the pharmacy was about 10 minutes. The pharmacist was knowledgeable and quickly answered the question I had about the medication. Overall, a great experience. I would go there again if needed and recommend it to others as a great quick care clinic. read more

I used the Minute Clinic today after experiencing asthma symptoms for the first time in awhile, and my wait time was literally only 6 minutes. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially nurse Kristin. She offered me great advice about my prescriptions for the future and also prescribed me exactly what I needed.
