A go to favorite of mine is Hannaford sushi. It's the fresh, easy and affordable. I have been an avid Hannaford sushi lover for as long as I can remember. Recently the South Portland Hannaford has stepped up their game. Typically I see common rolls and sashimi but today I was beyond impressed with their selection. Purple rice, sushi burritos, onigiri, were just a few new additions that I saw. I will be checking out the Portland Hannaford to see if they are doing the same.

I'm a little apprehensive to give such a positive review of this store for fear of ruining one of my favorites elements of it- it's hardly ever packed!! Don't get me wrong, people surely shop here, but it never feels like it's overly crowded like some of the other Hannaford locations in the area can. The store is always very clean and it has several self checkout registers. I actually drive past the Millcreek store to go over here because it's worth it to me.

Hannaford Supermarkets is the supermarket that I often visit and generally I find what I am looking for. This visit I was looking for Bite Size Shredded Wheat and Seltzer Water. I quickly found what I wanted and then off to the self check. I just love the self check. Prices here are pretty competitive with other grocery stores. This particular South Portland store I find to be well stocked and organized. The only negative is getting to and leaving the store. The Mall area can be a bit congested. So, if you are in the Mall area and need to pick up a few groceries, then I would recommend stopping at Hannaford.

I love Hannaford-what can I say? They always have great sales on fruits & veggies. Their staff is always patient and willing to explain to students--I can always depend on the same wonderful cashiers that always have smiles & offer help. Great selection on lunch items and never crowded in the morning! I love the egg salad sandwiches & fruit parfaits--if you haven't had them make you some awesome stir fry do it--STAT

I used to work at a retail pharmacy, so I am typically more patient with pharmacies than most…read more Day one: I come in to ask them to transfer my prescriptions from a pharamcy in Texas. I tell the pharmacist that I have a new prescription with refills and an old prescription with refills (both of the same drugs), and could she transfer both? Her immediate reply is that different states have different expiration dates. What the fuck? So I ask her to just try, because that just doesn't make any sense. You can't just change an expiration date because the state is different. I tell her I'm in no rush and will back tomorrow. Day two: I come to pick my prescriptions up. They are ready, and I give them my insurance card. (FYI, my prescription with the older expiration dates were never mentioned, so I'm assuming they didn't even try to transfer those ovee. I decide to not say anything and just lose out on those refills.) The pharmacist has to call my insurance in order to try to get them covered. I see that they are busy, so I tell them I'm in no rush, I'll come get them all tomorrow. Day three: I decide to go through the drive thru this time. Lane 1 had a car, so I pull up to lane 2, only to be told that "lane 2 is out of service." Why was there not a car blocking lane 2 then? Or a sign to tell people not to pull up to lane 2? Since the parking lot is one way, I have to drive onto the street and back around. I go inside this time. Only 2 of my three prescriptions are ready. I had told them to transfer 3. Where the other one is, I'm not sure. Also, one of them is not covered under insurance. This is day 3, I've been patient as all hell, and was not given the courtesy of being called to tell me why only 2 were filled and that one of them wasnt covered by insurance. I walked out with nothing and will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere.
