I've had several private parties in their rental spaces and they are always wonderful. They are very easy to do business with. Their services are unique and memorable. And pretty affordable. Just had a baby shower in the Great Hall. It was so lovely! The room is already decorated beautifully making my setup do much easier. I will be back!

Love this place! So many teas to choose from and high tea is my favorite! The main chef can be a little sassy at times is all. He all but begs for constructive criticism and feedback so I gave it to him and then he got very defensive and rude. Just a weird interaction but probably won't stop me from coming back!

Ugh. I really hope they were just having an off day. They were busy on a Thursday afternoon, so our food (which was cold sandwiches and salad) took 30+ min to come out. We never got our tea and the server came back later said they never got put in. To her credit, they did end up comping our teas. The salad came out with no dressing, and the excuse was that there was a new person on the line. The table next to us also did not get dressing on their salad. It was very expensive for a small amount of food. There's a mish mash of random stuff displayed by different artists and the ambiance wasn't as "steampunk" as it's advertised to be. It has so so much potential. With over 90 teas they should offer either a flight, or brew a couple of different ones daily in larger batches in order to sample. I will probably not be back.

Super cute, local tea shop in historical downtown Niles! The tea shop offers a cozy place to stop in for a unique gift, tea drinks, light bites, and afternoon tea service. I dined in on a Wednesday afternoon for afternoon tea service with my mom and sister. Each month a different tea service menu is offered. This month the offering was chestnut soup, cucumber sandwiches, salmon mouse on crostini, potato gratin, scones served with clotted cream and mincemeat jam, sticky toffee pudding, mint and jasmine panna cotta, and a kieflies cookie. The server did a great job with explaining what was offered and ingredients to prepare. Upon seating a starter pot of tea was provided; during tea service we were able to choose two additional teas each from about 100 options. A nice touch was being able to select the tea cup I'd like to use from an assortment of tea cups in a China cabinet. The tea room is cutely decorated with greenery all around and various tea cups and pots. Looking forward to returning when I return to the area!

Cottage Pie. Meat veggies gravy and topped with potatoes

I love this place! It is someplace you can sit have great food, hot tea (or coffee), and a conversation with out having to yell to be heard. Even when packed it is relaxing. The cottage pie is soooo delicious! As is the sausage roll, chicken salad sandwich, scotch egg and so many other items. The staff are always helpful and professional. Book an afternoon tea with friends and have an experience to remember. With so many teas to choose from you can always try a new one. Book an event upstairs in their event center and you can't go wrong There are many places in the area you could go to sit and visit with friends but none are as peacefull. Or the acoustics are such you cant hear your friends.

The food was good here for afternoon tea but I think they were a bit understaffed. 2 people at the front is not going to run this place. Also, if you are understaffed, people will be a lot less annoyed if you let them know. The customers were irritated and the staff seemed irritated in return. Not great. They were perfectly friendly to me though. This is the first time I have ever had afternoon tea and 45 minutes or so into it, I still did not have any tea. It took about half an hour or so just to get the cup of salad. When the food came out, I asked them when the tea was coming. Not much of an afternoon tea with no tea. I had also already let them know that I did not want to pick out my own tea cup, just bring one. When the tea was eventually brought out, I still had no cup and it was never brought by the server at all. I had to ask someone walking out of the kitchen to get me a cup. The scone was really good but I would prefer something like raspberry jam to jelly. The tea tiramisu was way too sweet, but the food was good otherwise. Overall, just an ok experience. Cute little place. Not sure if I will try again another time.

High Tea with the Queens! This weekend we celebrated my mama's birthday with high tea in downtown Niles, Michigan at Apothica Tea Room. Such a fun, delicious way to spend a birthday on a cold winter afternoon. The Niles' Apple Butter Festival queens made an appearance and that was the highlight for my 2 year old. Each tier was a perfect mix of sweet and savory and served with two pots of tea per person. They have over 100 flavors of tea and even offer bubble tea so choosing just two was difficult. The staff was so nice and helpful. It made for the perfect afternoon. The menu: Savories: *Potage aux Legumes *Caprese Arrows *Pistachio/Cherry Brie Cups *Roast Beef Tea Sandwiches with Horseradish Mustard Scones: Traditional English scones served with clotted cream and fresh lemon curd, or handmade jam from Sticky Spoons Sweets: *Cherry/Chocolate Shortbread *Budino al Cioccolato con Vino Rosso (chocolate pudding with red wine) *Chocolate Raspberry Petit Fours

My husband has finally entered the world of tea so I introduced him to Apothica Tea. When we entered we were greeted and asked if we had bought loose leaf tea from them before, which we hadn't although my friend had. They explained that they have around one hundred teas, showed us the pamphlet that was their tea compendium (list of teas). We also were shown their smellable samples of tea so we could get a sense of them. My husband and I decided to get the "Tower of London" tea (#19, $3.33 an ounce), "Raspberry Rose" (#45, $3.74 an ounce), and "Respect your Elders" (#46, $4.06 an ounce). We got an ounce of each for around $11 and each ounce makes about 7-10 cups. The steeping time a water temperature required is on each individual package, which is helpful for my forgetful brain. I have yet to sit down and do an official tea at Apothica, but I am hoping in the near future to be able to add on to my review with that added experience. The shop is steampunk themed, but made it elegant in a "let's get a spot of tea" type of way. I am forever grateful I learned about this shop and will continue to be a patron.

I'm not a big tea drinker unless it's bubble tea. Milk with black tea base, tapioca pearls and crystals with strawberries flavoring was really good

Boba tea, black tea, brown sugar and blackberry bobas. Amazing!

DELICIOUS Beverage!! Awesome knowledgeable friendly staff!! I have really wanting to try boba tea, like the authentic kind, the baristas totally hooked me up and explained everything with awesome detail. Here visiting family, I wish we lived closer to come more often. Definitely want to go back again!!

Tea and what was left of my tasty scone!

The not-mentioned exit is a few steps into the parking lot, which has a lot of parking. I decided to try this on my way out of the mall. Only one person was working. They have a monitor/kiosk-like ordering stand, so you can order directly and pay for your order because this is a cashless establishment. It's a pretty easy step. After you pay, you get a printed-out receipt with the order number for pickup. When it's ready, it calls your order number. There are napkins and draws right where you pick up the order after the staff calls it when it's ready. No, hello, nothing. I just yelled the order number and walked away after putting it down. It came off a bit rude, and it wasn't busy at all. Like what if it's your first time ordering? What if? What if? But she just walked away What I ordered tasted off, like there was no taste, or should I say it tasted like milk? Yes, I know . The only flavor I got was the jelly mango. I can't describe it exactly. It could just be what I ordered because it was my first order from them, but I'm not sure. I'll give it a try again and order something different.

But the order kiosk makes the line move faster, so I recommend ordering there instead of at the counter. The drinks were ok - I liked the fruit tea better than the thai tea. I don't know if it's a legacy of Covid, or just a focus on take away & delivery. Food & Drink: Food is good and the portion is generous. Our Boba was ok. Service: It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, so we're not expecting or getting table service. Well, there are no tables. In any case we got our orders correctly and promptly, so that's good. Value: The custom Poke starts at $11 for one scoop, and that's good price even for Michiana area. You get two scoops for $14, which elevates the size and flavor for just $3 more. The boba milk tea is standard. Rating: Good price and generous portion warrant this place a 5 star. They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.
