From our perspective - RUN, Don't Walk to have a meal & drinks at Iron Shoe Distillery! While we had hoped to sit outside with our Golden Retriever (the staff wished we could too) it was a rainy day when we stopped in. We opted to sit at one of the tall tables in the bar area and Katie was fun to have as our server. Katie does a great job inquiring about your preferred tastes when asked about the cocktails. I truly enjoyed my Clementine Rosemary Smash before & with my lunch. She suggested The Weekend for my post lunch cocktail since we weren't in a hurry to leave. I enjoyed both drinks. My husband and I split the Sweet & Salty Burger and it was awesome! Katie said she was glad we chose that burger and again she was right. Not sure if we will ever be back in the area, but if we are this will be a must stop for us.

This place has the best cauliflower wings ever ever ever. I was there for a quick little meet up with a friend so we didn't try a lot of food but when I tell you those truffalo wings had my toes curling oh my god!! I feel so sad that I wasn't able to get a pic. We also had nachos and Brussels sprouts, both of which were delicious. They have a very interesting drink menu with flavor combos that I had never seen before. I had the Tropical Josephine which I could feel in my body was strong, but I couldn't taste it so I'd call that a win :)

We have been talking about making it back to Iron Shoe since our initial visit and we finally got around to it on Mother's Day. We arrived a little after 12 and the place was packed, which was to be expected. The hostess said they filled up as soon as they opened the doors at 11:30. She said it would be about a 20 minute wait for the two of us. It was a rainy day and with not much room inside, we headed back to the car to wait. In less than 20 minutes, she called to confirm it was just the two of us and said she had a high top ready for us. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and I couldn't resist trying the Hollywood Martini (pomegranate and vodka) - both drinks were perfect! We shared the tuffalo cauliflower for an app which was perfectly fried. My husband ordered the Hoosier Classic (pork tenderloin sammy) that is this month's "burger" special with the pamesan truffle fries. I opted for the Nashville Chicken and Waffles. My husband loved everything about his meal - the fries were killer! Mine was a little disappointing - no heat to the chicken, waffle was a little soggy and everything was barely lukewarm. They were slammed so I didn't want to complain and based on our original experience, this was probably just a fluke and certainly won't keep up from coming back. Our first experience was fantastic and several was friendly and efficient both times. It's excited to hear they are expanding and adding a rooftop deck - we will be back!

Pretty good burger, a little on the pricey side. They had cool holiday themed drinks which was a bonus.

Service was prompt; food was good; and selection of mixed drinks was also good. All of the staff were very friendly.

I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. We would definitely come back, but please print out the cocktail flight list or at least suggest it if people are hemming and hawing over what to get like I was.

The tour is $20 and it comes with a flight, which we were going to try anyway. Or you can just do the tour for $10 if you don't want a flight. It's not much of a "tour" in a physical sense as their production facility is small, in just one room, but we learned a lot about distilling in general, as well as a lot of information about the company and their products. I'd highly recommend it especially if you don't know much about the company. The interior has a 20s speakeasy feel, which I really liked. It's a little fancy but comfortable and welcoming. The drink menu was pretty large and it was tough for me to choose which drink I wanted after the flight. I ended up with the blueberry margarita because it was on happy hour. It was really great! Not too sweet. Nate got the cherry black Manhattan which we both enjoyed too. I loved the flight because we got to try pretty much all of the spirit offerings, including their amaro, Oaxacan green corn bourbon, and pink peppercorn gin, which were all unique and very tasty. Our bartender was knowledgable and very kind - great service. I'll definitely be back!

Edwin Coe's is located north of Busco on 33. They make unique spirits there in this country setting. The place is a bit small but wide open. They have vintage style furnishings that are comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Edwin Coe's can be popular in the warmer months when there is live music. Otherwise, it is not very busy - even on a Friday or Saturday evening prime time. This makes EC a great place to meet a group of 4-8 people. Especially if you want to sit and talk or play some table games. We've been many times and always had a good experience. I have attached drink and food menus so you know what they have. EC makes most of their own alcohol. They have a very innovative menu of drink offerings. Many are very attractive...and all tasty! The food menu is very narrow. It isn't "bar food" and comes at a moderate cost. All food is made in their on site kitchen - as they used to host the Fork and Fiddle food truck. Food has a bit of gourmet flair while keeping the breadth of selections fairly basic/popular. Give Edwin Coe Spirits a try - especially if you have a small group that likes to relax and socialize.

The prices of the beverages were somewhat steep in comparison to the portions received. I really wish there happy hour, was longer than an hour. People were hanging out, listening to the music, and enjoying their drinks. The staff were incredibly nice and the recommendations they gave us were spot on. I decided to try the craft canned cocktails, the flavors were Moscow Mule, Lemon Elderflower Vodka Soda, Blackberry Gin Gimlet, Strawberry Margarita, and Grapefruit Paloma. They all had something different going on, but my favorites were easily the Strawberry Margarita and the Blackberry Gin Gimlet. Those two were phenomenal. The Strawberry Margarita was fruity, bright, and super refreshing. It had that sweet strawberry flavor right away, followed by the citrusy tang of the margarita that kept it from tasting too sweet. The Blackberry Gin Gimlet had a deep, juicy fruit flavor with just the right amount of sweetness, while the gin brought in that herbal, slightly crisp flavor underneath. It had a little tartness at the end that made me want another sip almost immediately. They were the kind of drinks that felt perfect for sitting outside on a nice day.
