My neighbor had his A/C serviced by Apple Air last week and was pleased with the results. He recommended Apple Air to me. So, I called Apple Air on a Tuesday for a routine 'tune-up' in prep for the heat of summer. They were able to schedule an appointment the very next day. The service technician, Kyle, called ahead and gave me an accurate ETA. He arrived on time and was very polite, thorough, and professional. He asked me questions and listened to my concerns, and then explained everything he was doing as I asked a lot of questions. He even cleaned leaf and mulch debris around the a/c unit. I am thoroughly pleased with the entire experience and will recommend Apple Air to my neighbors. read more

We got our new York /Johnson Controls HVAC with extended warranty from Apple earlier this year. Apple was able to resolve a structural installation problem - working around it by installing a wireless thermostat. Manager Danielle runs a tight ship and has a very competent, professional staff. We couldn't be happier with our unit - with a 2 inch MERV 10 filter, dust is down in the house and our electric bill is steady if not less (we'll know better in the summer). read more

I called them because my thermostat was blank, with no power. I told the tech that please check the fuse{a/c handler} or maybe I need a new thermostat. I already checked what I could with the breakers and water clog Switch thing. When he opened the handler up, I asked him to check the fuse again, he said it was ok, "he could tell by looking at it". After moving some wires around, he couldn't get it to work. He proceeded to tell me that I had a bad "mother board", and that they will call me with info on how much it will cost to replace. The tech was polite and seemed like a very nice person. I just felt that he was not experienced enough to fix this simple issue. This happened on Friday, and Apple A/C never called me back for prices, even after I called the office on Monday 2 times. I called a different company today to get a second opinion and to repair it. Come to find out, it was just a bad fuse. They also had to undo what the previous tech did. After shopping around, a new "mother board" installed with labor would of cost me around $650. Previously, when I used them on a different A/C unit, I told the tech I think my leak is coming from the outside area (dryer) area, which he said he already checked. After various different costly tests, he came back another day checking with "dye". The leak was from that outside area I originally mentioned. The extra costly test was not needed. That tech was also very nice and polite. But it seemed, both times, the techs didn't want to take my thoughts seriously. I am by no means an A/C expert, I just watched youtube videos on common issues/solutions prior to them arriving. There will not be a third time. read more

Today was the wrong day (high 85) to have air conditioning problems. After a cold spell and not using our air, we go to turn it on and boom, nothing. We called Apple Air and they came out right away, gave us an extremely fair estimate and then came back 2 hours later and fixed our unit. The Technician was super friendly and did all of his the paper work off an ipad. We handed him a check and we received an email within minutes with a detailed invoice showing paid. We chose to go with this company because we felt it was important to support a local, family owned business. Unfortunately, their service does not equal that which was received previously, from a a major air conditioning company in the area. We had our unit completely replaced in July. It stopped working over the weekend (when I was in the middle of cooking dinner for a dinner party we were hosting) specifically on a Saturday. We were told when we called that we would have to pay $143 for the technician to come out. At no time were we told that the technician would be incapable of repairing the unit at the time of the visit. We were most used to the aforementioned larger company fixing our old unit on the spot, each time they were called. The technician came, and could not repair the unit, stating he didn't know if the part needed was in stock, regardless nothing could happen until MONDAY. He also said that we should have waited until Monday to call (calling between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday) to avoid the service call charge. When we explained that we are working during those hours, he said that if we called at 4:00 or 4:30 they would take the call and not charge the fee. So, I paid for a service call, received no service until Tuesday, where the technician was late (understandable, when working outdoors in Florida these things happen). However, time had to be taken from work, and that was a difficult situation as we were both working on very short deadlines and could ill afford the time lost. The lateness of the technician put the time of his arrival at our house at a time when one of us would not have had to lose work hours. Additionally, the woman who answers the phone is rude, and quite nasty to deal with. She informed us when we phoned to inquire about the missing technician, that we had said we'd be home at the appointed hour, not that he would be there. How ridiculous is that? The appointment was arranged quite specifically for the chosen time. At no time did anyone say that the appointment time was a "general guideline for we'll show up when we can." A telephone call letting us know the technician would be late would be good customer service. The commercials are cute and catchy. The quality of customer service is not. We are sad to learn that our thoughts of supporting locally owned family businesses ended up this way. I'm phoning our previous (large corporation) AC company to see if they will honor the warranty for our faulty, albeit new unit. I need a company that comes when called, and fixes the problem when they come. Politeness of employees is always a good idea. The technician commenting, "Remember. Call Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for service," came across as more sarcasm then helpfulness. My life should be so perfect. read more

Akil, the Apple technician gets 5 stars, the office help would get zero if I could. I wasted 7 hours waiting for an Apple technician to show up for a scheduled appointment. Made appointment to get a noisy outdoor compressor looked at, and was given an appointment window of 12 noon to 2 pm. By 4:30 pm no one had arrived to my house for the appointment, and no call to say why. I called the company back and the lady answering the phone tells me that the technician came out and they called me; however, when i let her know that I have been home all day, my phone was with me since 11:30 am, and all entries into my community are recorded and Apple is not listed as entering the gate, the lady then tries to talk over me. The story then changed to, well he didn't come out. He tried calling and that I must have given them the wrong number. Hmmmm, let me see...I have had this same phone number since 1996, so I am sure what number I gave the same lady the day before when I made the appointment. Oh, and I had to correct the lady TWICE while on the phone today, because she kept reading back the wrong phone number as I was giving her my correct number again! The technician, Akil (very nice guy), arrived around 7 pm to diagnose my unit, found out the problem, and is returning on Tuesday (holiday weekend) with the replacement part. The Apple technician was great; however, they really need better back-office personnel! read more

I do not recommend this company i contacted these people and they said they worked in the area i live but they will need to contact me back i waited more then 8 hours to hear back been without air for the last three days they contact me at 10am saying that they do not work in the area we live in after saying they they do never contacting them again.... read more

Although they technically did what was on the contract the quality of the workmanship was so poor and the number of shortcuts taken were such that we will have to have another company finish the job. I wouldn't recommend them unless you like hearing excuses. read more

I highly recommend Apple Air Conditioning. When I called to make my appointment when my AC unit was not running, the person who took my call, I believe her name was Carrie (?), was very friendly & helpful. Keith the tech who came out to my home was polite, courteous and very thorough. He called on his way : ) (as I was told he would when I made my appointment, but have heard that one before from other companies and no call was made). He arrived when he said he would and went the extra mile to determine what was needed to fix the problem. Unfortunately, due to scheduling the appointment late in the day the part needed was not available until the next day, I had to suffer through another HOT night with no AC, however, first thing the next morning Keith was in touch worked with me on a time frame to return and fixed all the issues for a fair price. Slept well that night, very happy customer, I will use again for sure and recommend to others! read more

Look elsewhere. Over priced, sloppy install, grumpy crew. It was a three strikes your out situation. Three tries to get it right and failed. Forget about getting a decision maker out to look at it if you work too. The bosses only come out 9-5 Monday-Friday. You need to take a day off to accommodate them. read more

I do not recommend Apple Air. They were incapable of making a repair and worse then this is that they employ illegal collection tactics. They have no integrity and have attempted to bully me into paying a bill that is was in fact already paid. They sent a technician for a repair whereupon they used a faulty part which caused my system to stop cooling and lose freon. This repair was paid for. After a long wait they finally came out to assess and in fact found that the part was faulty. The technician was unware of the prior repair and could not call the office as it was after hours when he completed the work. Almost a year later I receive a collection call for the warranty repair work and Freon (a larger bill then the original repair less then two months earlier). The accounting department would not listen although I provided proof of the initial payment along with the warranty repair work. Nonetheless they placed this on my credit report. I will never use Apple and would like to know if others had the same sort of wrongful collections placed upon them as I am considering speaking to an attorney to place a class action suit. read more
