I'm amazed when I look back and see my previous review on Yelp was 8 years ago! I still give this store 5 stars. I am always treated professionally and still enjoy shopping here. I went there today to have my iPhone repaired, we ran into some issues and had to restore from backup and didn't have it fixed. But the "Genius Bar" person was so professional and honest, I can't get upset about that. He worked and found a solution for me before I return to Europe. I can appreciate that. Terrible customer service. The worst apple store i have ever experienced. I get there early for my appointment and some how they don't assist me until 30 minutes after my appointment. The store wasn't busy, they have employees just talking to each other. A woman comes and helps me but then walks away to never be found again while in the middle of helping me. I had to flag someone else down who initially helped and told me they would write a link down for me but never did. Well, Luke was very cordial and helpful in the beginning. I had an appointment at 1:15pm. He started out fine but then went to another customer and didn't return for 25 minutes. He seemed to be very patronizing when I complained a little and another woman who I complained to was very rude. Her name was Jess talked over me and tried to convince me that maybe my Mac was too old. Luke did return and was much more pleasant. My advice to this store is to treat us like humans. The worst experience. My mother-in-law had an appointment to be seen at 5:15 to replace a battery. She was told that it was going to be 2 hours and 45 minutes until that task could be done. I was at work and volunteered to pick it up on the way home as long as I could do it. I told them to be sure that I could pick it up. I was told yes as long as I brought identification. Fast forward 3 hours later. I'm here. Easy right. Just tell them I'm here to pick up my mother-in-law's phone right? NOPE. I was told I didn't have authorization to pick up the phone. I called my wife who said that she saw the original apple employee put my name in. I was still told that I couldn't pick it up. I asked how to resolve and was told that my mother-in-law would need to call the store. WTF. I spoke to my mother-in-law on the phone and had her describe the original employee and said I would FaceTime the employees. At that point the employee said she would talk to a team leader. She came back and said they found me in the computer. I asked what happened and she said she could not tell me and never explained what happened. When picking up the phone from the repair people, I learned that the people "up front" can't see alternate pick up names and they should have checked with repair people in back. What a fail Apple. Well Apple need to get a few thing straight. I made an appointment on Sunday to get my cracked screen fixed they took me on time but after the tech put all my info into his computer he said just a sec I have to check something. He came back said he couldn't have my phone fix that day I would have to come back on Monday to get it, Apple should know how many phones they can take in a day to repair for same day and have a cut off time at say 4pm. I returned on the next day and they fixed it in just over an hour. Apple has a bad system set up for Covid-19 they have many people outside the door keeping people separated but yet they only have one glass door open for going in and out. They need to have people go in one door and out at the opposite end. Then people won't be congested at the door and the COVID-19 police they have won't be telling people you have to stand back. read more

Visited the Annapolis Apple Store on Monday, May 5, 2025. We were immediately greeted by Gavin and he assisted us for our entire time. First, he solved my issue in not receiving email on my iPhone (even though I could get them on my iPad). He knew just what to do and was professional and patient with me in not following all he was doing. He was great and I hope his supervisor reads this review. Then he showed me new Apple Watch bands for my size. He had to search in the back but found the one I asked for! He could have just said they didn't have my size, but he went above and beyond and hunted it down! Lastly, during our visit there was a very rude female customer who attempted to complain that Gavin assisted us first even though she had been waiting. Not the case, he was waiting for the next customer to walk in and it was us, not her! She attempted to report him to a manager but it sounded like she was someone who frequents the store and can be difficult. If you need assistance, please ask for Gavin. Yesterday someone walked into this store and bought 2 iPhones with my debit card. How, I'm not exactly sure because I have my card in my physical possession. I called and tried find out how someone can pay with a card they don't have with them but they weren't able to answer my question. They only stated they would be able to work with law enforcement and my banking institution. I have already filed a fraudulent case with my bank and have filed a police report with the police. I write this review because I'm concerned that this store is just looking to make sales regardless of where or how the payments come from. Be careful and mindful. On this particular occasion, my sis and I were updating our phones and decided to do so in-store. Note to others, if you're purchasing a phone, you don't have to make an appointment, you can just walk-in. We strolled in on a Sunday morning when the Apple Store first opened and were greeted by a young lady by the name of Tab. That's her nickname, can't remember her government. Soooooo glad we had her as a sales representative because she literally went above and beyond for us. She was patient and very knowledgeable with our products. Tab helped us wipe our old phones clean, set our new phones up, set my sister's iWatch up, show us a few new features on our phones, and explained the different options of phones available. I was expecting a headache with trading in my phone and purchasing a new one, but it was really an easy task, thanks to Tab. Actually, this was the best experience in purchasing a phone I've ever had and I accredit it to her. A few customers seemed to get annoyed that she was helping us for so long, not sure why because their were plenty of employees available. Even a couple of employees seemed annoyed. She was doing her job! When customers spend money on big ticket items, they want to make sure they leave knowing how to use their products. Enough said. Now I'm getting automated emails from Apple asking when I'm going to bring in my old ipad for them to honor the trade in. Went online, but they said i had to call the store. I called the store, got someone on the phone. I said my name and asked for theirs. He says "you're talking to Apple Annapolis". I ask his name again and he says "apple Annapolis". Had the worst experience here. In general, the first associate that refused to give me her name, she looked middle eastern and wore a head scarf. She turned her back to me and refused to answer any questions I had. She got her manager, who also was not helpful, when asking her name , she refused to write it for me, but instead pointed to her arm tattoo...BEE. I brought my new iPad in to get activated and the first person that was assigned to me left in the middle oF things and said someone else would come by and help. If I could give ZERO Stars I would in this particular case. This story might be a little long so bear with me. My son and I go to the Apple store in Annapolis for the possibility of me purchasing a new phone. No big deal right? Well this is the backstretch of the COVID-19 pandemic, I get that so there are some lingering residuals with folks about it so bear that in mind. But once again the Apple store is open for business and we can go in and browse and shop away :) GREAT RIGHT!!!!??? WRONG!!!!!!!! Let me explain as to why I say wrong. You still have to wear a mask. No big deal yet again. However, when you are trying to conduct business and have to open your phone or open certain apps that you will need to require you to fulfill said transaction, you have to remove your mask a bit to open your phone or certain apps and put it back on. The associate and I were working together while the other guy at the door who was telling folks to kindly put on their masks or get one from him as he had extras, nice guy he was by the way. I even apologized and begged for mercy in a fun way with him and he laughed too. But, here is where it gets a turn for the worse and why I am for the first time ever placing a ZERO STAR on this location. A tall Black man with glasses on and a black hat with a blue shirt with the Apple logo on it, (before you even come close as to asking what I look like or where I am from look at my photo) approaches me while I am opening the app on my phone and tells me " sir you need to put on your mask". "Yes ok, (mind you I am still cheerful at this point) I am just trying to open the app so the other associate and I can finish what we are trying to do." He says "Sir you need to put on the mask"....mind you my mask on at this point. This is where now I start to get heated because of the level of disrespect this person is sending my way. I told him " My mask is on, I am just trying to open my apps so the associate and I can finish what we've started", "Well...he says.... you go out of the store and do so." Yes folks he said that. Again that is when it went even further. I told him "You need to get away from me now and leave me alone to finish what I was doing." He told me he did not have to. Oh really now? And yes this is where I get kicked out of the Apple Store in Annapolis because of this next immediate statement " Dude my mask is on, and I have told you several times what I am doing now get the F*** away from me!!!" Yes I was loud as he was too. "That's it you aren't purchasing anything from here! GET OUT!" I wasn't going to leave until I spoke to the manager. Well behold!! Guess who the manager was? Yep you guessed it! The fool who came at me wrong. His name is either Akeem or Hakeem. I think it is Akeem. But either way, he was the reason Apple did not gain any money from a loyal customer today. Oh and he was also bragging and showing out like he is the big man on the block to the employees. But what gets my goat is that Akeem or Hakeem, spoke to a white lady ( I believe she was an assistant manager) she seemed very nice, being all big and bad talking about me and what he could do to me, ( he thought I didn't hear any of that). But as I am explaining to her she said he wasn't being disrespectful I said ma'am, you weren't even out here when he was. She quoted down on that but she said they do not allow customers to disrespect them, so I asked her, if it's ok for a manager to disrespect the customers? She said no. And that is when I said "My point exactly". Was there a complaint registered about him?, yes indeed, to Apple directly (nice lady by the name of Dominique was extremely helpful) and to the Mall Management of which certain folks at the mall told me to file a complaint to the mall Management because Mall Management doesn't tolerate this kind of disrespect as well. So I am saying all of this to you all, that if Akeem or Hakeem is there, prepare to be disrespected in some form of manner and he won't apologize for it either. I don't understand the hype. Better deals can be found online for Apple products. I only come here when I have to because usually there is an exceptional wait to be seen by a technician.
