We purchased our Samsung Bespoke appliance at Best Buy less than 3 years ago- they are just falling apart. We bought 6 appliances from them and the cost was substantial. It was said to be top of the line and we had no reasons to believe this Bespoke set would not only look good but also perform well. Our dishwasher is on its second repair and now 3 weeks after the second issue we are being told it's another three weeks before the part even arrives! The main oven has a broken off hinge inside the door and it can not be opened so obviously it can't be used. They repair men stated the 4 parts he needs to repair the door are being ordered but there is no date of when then will arrive. We could use the microwave but it's difficult to see and time as the hour numbers no longer work!! We can make use of the minute display :( Lastly the finish on the edge of the top door of the wall oven is flaking off. It's so upsetting to see such poor quality construction of these once beautiful appliances. If the parts for repair are all this difficult to acquire, maybe they should have made the appliances more durable or just change change the price point so there could be some value to be had. read more

The store shows four‑plus stars, but when you look closely, many of those positive reviews are coming from employees, not actual customers. For my final review of the year, I had to write about the Best Buy in Annapolis. We stopped in to get some information on a few products and to check the pricing. As soon as we entered, we received amazing customer service. Staff greeting us warmly and directing us to the appropriate section. Once we located the correct area, a staff member was there to give us a ton of information on the products we were interested in, as well as giving us in-depth details on how to hook-up the items. The next thing I know, we were offered to be rung up in the location we shopped in. The selection of products were abundant, the customer service was amazingly great, and the concern shown for our purchases well being, was sincere. We wanted to purchase a new range hood & electric cooktop. So we visited several appliance places. Best Buy on Housely Rd did not have many models on the floor. So we went to other stores to see models they had that were not in the showroom. We settled on what we wanted and placed an online order on November 29th. That is when the circus began. The original delivery date was supposed to be 12/20. They kept sending emails & texts saying "be sure to do your pre-appointnent checklist" but then they would cancel right before the appointment. Actually, they never even said cancel. The day before they were supposed to come, we would just get a message saying "you need to schedule your appointment" (meaning it has been pushed back). This happened four times. They also could not seem to get the two appliances tied to the same order in their system. We spent hours on the phone, even with supervisors. So we finally said bring them out separately. Please bring us SOMETHING. We finally got the second appliance last Wednesday. The only source of information was the installer they contract with. On 2/20 at 8am received all call from Geek squad they don't have enough people to install and need to reschedule. Grrr. Called to reschedule and was soonest would be about another 3 weeks on 3/6/25. Even after conveying had to have by the following week for an important meeting told nothing they could do. Think before purchasing an extended appliance warranty from Best Buy/Geek squad!!! Purchased an extended Geek squad appliance warranty June 24, 2021 good until June 29, 2026 for my high-end LG refrigerator/ freezer as Fridge completely shut down and all the food spoiled. Upon calling for repair today, July 28, 2025, 9 am, the agent told me no repair service available in my area until august 5, 2025 that's 9 days away! Therefore if parts are needed I will have to wait for parts and make another appointment. Sales person who sold me the appliances told me service for all extended warranties would take place within 72 hours of calling for service. Each time I have needed a repair on my appliances with extended warranties I am told their is currently no one available in my area! They sold me the appliances knowing where I live and plenty of appliance repair companies like VIA services that can do the job but Best Buy/Geek squad wont call on those companies!!! Every time I glanced in his direction, he was on his phone. The employee in the appliance area took time time stop looking at his phone to get the microwave we wanted. He then retreated to a nearby area to check his phone. The inventory at this store is more varied than the Best Buy in Potomac Yards (although those employees stay off their phones). I'm beyond done with Best Buy. They owe me 476$ from an order I made back in April. I returned a microwave because it wouldn't fit in my new house. I ordered a cheaper one, and returned that one cuz the door wouldn't open. Some lady in Asia put it in my original order, and they said that was the microwave I bought. It had two seperate dates or purchase, plus the return date was months later. I'm still disputing the charge after almost one full year. Unfortunately my credit card people can't understand the over seas customer service as well. I ordered a dryer back in August, and have nothing but problems since. It does not dry my clothes without two cycles. I am a total tech member which they say get same day service. I had a guy come out in December, blame my duct work for the problem, he didn't check anything else, and said that was up to me to fix. I cut the duct so there was not kink. The dryer still does not dry. I call again for tonight they set me up for next week an appt. Then 10 mins later they cancel. Say that is a diagnostic, and then they have to make another appt for the repair. I'm not taking off two days of work, with 12 hour windows. What happened to the Good ole Best buy. They had great warranties, and product. The customer service is awful, one can't even understand the service reps. I've shopped at Best Buy for more than 2 decades, mostly in the Deep South, and always found the staff helpful and engaged. I never got the vibe that I must not know anything because I'm female, and I never felt invisible. But this is consistently the case at the Annapolis Best Buy. I've been going there for about a year and a half, and if I need to get something out of a locked cage or can't find something that the web site is reporting in stock, it's difficult getting someone to help. On every occasion, I have observed that the majority male sales reps go out of their way to greet, interact with, and otherwise assist customers who look like them, but the rest of us can be credit card in hand ready to buy something and still struggle to get out of the store in a reasonable timeframe. I was glad to see that the remodel was done and the store was open again for browsing, but now that I've gone back a few times, I am reminded all over again how weird the atmosphere is. It's really kind of laughable, that in 2022, almost 2023, a woman can set foot in a technology store and get the strong impression that the people there think this stuff isn't for women. Recent experience trying to buy an ipad - associate can't get barcode to scan properly. Then wants an account or phone number to associate with the purchase. When this is refused they say they need it because it's a cellular product (um, no) and call a manager. "Manager" shows up in ratty tshirt, no badge or even Best Buy logo on shirt, says same thing. When we ask for a higher manager he says he's it (um, really?) while telling us he's the warehouse manager. When we point out he doesn't have ID, no card, and can't make the sale he says we're insulting him and he calls the store police officer. As our local Best Buy, we go in here from time to time to check out new electronics in person. Best Buy is generally very good about having things displayed, and they have a fantastic price match policy that includes Amazon. When we want to buy electronics in person, Best Buy is our first choice. However, at this location in particular (though I have been to others that also do this a bit) they ask you if you need help 14,000 times in the span of ten minutes. It's a little infuriating. Sometimes my wife and I go in just to browse and walk around, checking out some new stuff. Not only are we asked 2-3 times every time we walk into a new department, but employees are regularly walking around and will ask you if you need help. I get wanting to pay attention to the customer, but this must be some weird mandate from management. After spending almost two hours at this location trying to figure out what i needed to get for my products to work and successfully function, they managed to accommodate me in this dilemma. From trying to troubleshoot the issue to finding a product that was compatible with the original computer. Brett & BP managed to find a computer that was compatible and functional. Best Buy, as a company, has been grim for decades. I avoid it whenever possible. Like women giving birth after a while memories of the pain fade and you do it again. *sigh* Today I need a cable with a male BNC on at least one end. This is not hard. It's a very common connector for TVs and home theater (not my application but that doesn't matter - I just wanted the cable). In the store the associate/employee/whatever told me he didn't know what a BNC even is. I described it. "We don't carry anything like that." I showed him a picture on the Best Buy website. He takes off and leaves me in the dust. I hunt him down and he's helping someone with an easier problem. I insist on seeing a manager. That takes 15 minutes. The manager is no better. She doesn't understand the technology either. Nope, sorry, no technical staff in the store. Sorry, you can't expect me to understand our inventory (I quote - no kidding). Note to self - never go back. Not ever. At least the staff at both Office Depot and Staples knew the connector and could order it even if not in the store. I happened to check my cameras and found a clip of the delivery guy pull up to our driveway walk up to our door and then walk away. Our vehicle was in the driveway. Based on the rude, impatient, unhelpful, and unavailable customer service as well as low inventory, I am now boycotting Best Buy. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but those days are history based on my recent experience described below, which is epic. I needed to replace my TV's sound bar, which typically comes with a remote and subwoofer. The original salesman was courteous, responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. What he didn't share was that the product that I'd chosen wasn't in stock, and he didn't share that information until after I'd paid. I chose to drive 40 minutes to another store so I could pick up my new product. I have a friend in the IT business who set up the new system to work with my LG big screen TV. Unfortunately, the remote device didn't operate even though the subwoofer and sound bar's buttons worked manually. He replaced the factory's batteries with fresh batteries, but the remote still didn't work. I took the remote device to the local store and asked the sales rep to test it on the floor model after I greeted him and introduced myself. His first words were "no I can't do that." After confirming his name, I asked for a manager. Then the sales rep said that he guessed he could take a few seconds try. Mind you, no other customers were in the Home Theater department. Grudgingly, he walked over and tested it, and it worked. I asked what he'd advise, and he said he didn't know. Again, I asked him to call a manager, who quickly came. The sales rep updated him, referring to me as "she" and "her." When the manager finally looked at me, I said with a smile that they can talk to me and again gave them my name and asked for their advice. The manager surmised that the reason was that the sound bar's receptor for the remote was defective and that I needed to return the entire unit; simply returning the sound bar was not an option, but at least the manager acknowledged that the original packaging wasn't required. So, I returned everything, and they had to order another since again, they had none in stock. When the replacement unit arrived a week later, I collected it at the store, and my IT friend set it up again, while following the manufacturer installation guide's instructions and the app plus synching the remote with my wireless and putting in fresh batteries. Horrors: the result was the EXACT SAME, meaning the remote didn't work. This time, I took the receipts, remote device and sound bar to the store for the Best Buy staff to test it. Since I expected the runaround from the staff, I directed myself to smile & be patient, calm, persistent, and assertive. Unfortunately, this visit was far worse than the previous one. Like before, there were no other customers in the department, & I had to wait for five minutes before waving my arms at a staff member to ask for someone who could help me with an issue in the Home Theater department. When the rep came to the counter, I received no greeting, no smile, no "let me see if I can help" or apology for the problem, The sales rep even got snarky when I asked for his name & impatiently demanded, "Just tell me the problem." I described it in 15 seconds along with my request. His reply was to shake his head, saying no, "we don't do that." I shared how another rep had previously tested my remote on the floor's demo, but again he refused. I asked if he could at least provide any other suggestions or consult with a manage. He shrugged & directed me to Geek Squad. I carried my equipment there. The rep at GS gave me a similar reception & stated that he couldn't test it, even though there were no other customers waiting. I asked the GS rep's advice, & he referred me to the Home Theater department. I said that they had sent me to GS, so I'd like a manager's assistance. The manager who came to the counter wore no name tag, & like on my previous visit, they ignored me & discussed the issue in front of me, referring to me as "she" and "her." I interrupted. "She is standing right here," gave them my name, & asked them to speak directly with me about what they could do. He gave me a hard time about the batteries, whether the remote had been synched, argued that the likelihood of the same problem made the issue my fault. Ultimately, and grudgingly, the GS manager said that if I brought in the cables, they could spend a few minutes & maybe try, but I'd need to make an appointment. Or I could return it & replace it. I carried my equipment back to my car, collected the remaining pieces of the system, boxed it all up, & returned it to the store for a full refund, which I have received. When the cashier took the box, she asked if something was wrong with it, & I said yes. She had no further questions for me, no sorry, no thanks, no have a nice afternoon, let alone a smile. I am done with Best Buy. Buyer: beware. My intention is to spare anyone else from experiencing what I have just documented. read more

Rearranged my schedule to accommodate the delivery only to be called at noon about my dryer not being able to be delivered. The window they gave me was 7AM-1 PM and they have the nerve to call me at 12 PM to tell me they can't deliver my dryer. Unacceptable! Will never purchase another item from these guys ever again. I went into visit this store after haven't been there since pre-Covid. I was shocked to see how much they have changed. I was in there for nearly an hour and no one approached me to ask me if I needed assistance. My friend was in there wanting to purchase a $2000 camera and waited forever so we just left. It's also too dark in there . Appliances used to be nice and clean, and now it's oversupplied with refrigerators and not enough dishwashers and ranges. Well the CD's were gotten rid of long ago, but atleast they had tons of movies to browse and buy. However, I just went into the store for the first time this year due to the pandemic ready to spend some money and I was shocked when I saw they had a VERY tiny section of movies and it was clear to me that they were completely getting rid of Blurays/DVDs at this location. I know this is all my fault. I'm leaving this message to help someone not live my computer traumas. I bought my computer at Best Buy (HP Envy) about a year ago. Immediately/same day/next day, I brought it back because the keyboard just wasn't responsive. This being my second HP Envy, I knew this issue well. It's a very large keypad and it's wonky as a result. The tech guys checked it out. Couldn't find anything wrong and politely sent me on my way. No exchange. Today I find myself yelling at my computer more and more frequently, because shockingly the issue really did exist, but it never corrected itself. So I try to type in one cell in Excel or one box in PPT by putting my cursor on it, but of course the changes are entered somewhere random; and you might think, well, ding-a-ling, just move your cursor up two rows higher than where you want to type and (despite the obviously 'why should I have to?' reply, I would hang my head in shame and let you know I've tried and it doesn't work... So frustrating. My advice. Don't buy an HP Envy - no matter how cool it seems. In the end, it's not worth the nightmare; AND it's super expensive so it's not worth the very excessive price tag. Recently purchased a washer and dryer here and it was fast/easy. Spring, the saleswoman I had was phenomenal. I walked over to the appliances and she immediately came over and helped me. Which is saying a lot, because I had just left Home Depot where I stood in appliances for thirty minutes and never was helped. But Spring was friendly and helpful, by far one of the best customer service experiences I have had in recent memory. This store looks very empty. If you yelled I am sure you would here an echo. The selection of items is very limited depending on what you are looking for. Many of the shelves are empty and if you want specific items just go ahead and order it online. It seems as if Best Buy is now mainly setup to sell cellphones and various accessories for them where there is a plethora of items. It seems like many people, including myself, go in to look at items and then do a search on their phones for cheaper online prices. Best Buy in general has horrible customer service. They sold me a printer and the salesman talked me into buying extra ink. When the ink ran out I went replace and it was the wrong ink. I went to the store to get the correct ink but they were out. I asked for my $59 back so I could go elsewhere to buy the correct ink and they would only give me a store credit. They told me I was lucky I was getting that back. So now I have a printer that does not work, I am out $59and now shopping to find a replacement. Lousy customer service. Long story short it was broke right out of the box and when I brought it back they claimed that I broke it. I wasn't happy as I'm sure you can guess. Anyway.. This best buy in Annapolis is much better then the others. The staff is for the most part helpful. I think since online sites like amazon have been beating down businesses like Best Buy the owners and staff now know they need to step up their game. They've gotten better about customer service and that's nice. Overall this is an okay place to buy from. It's not Amazon but it's okay and getting better. read more
