My husband's old LG phone started acting really wonky so I visited the Annapolis Mall T-Mobile phone store to determine if it could be fixed or switched. ShaMar Watson greeted me immediately and accessed the situation. ShaMar indicated that the phone was out-of-date and no longer produced. He then provided me with a few choices of new phones that I could switch to with little or no additional charge. He answered my questions and didn't try to up-sell me. We selected a very nice new phone and he loaded all of my husband's data onto it, then he worked with me to remove all of my husband's data from his old phone. I went to the T-Mobile in Annapolis mall this past Saturday (4/7/2018) in order to be added to my fiance's cell phone plan and drop Verizon. This was something I was hesitant to do for many years as I have always had Verizon and know that their service is reliable. However, I couldn't continue to overpay for cell phone service so I decided to make the switch since my contract with Verizon was paid off. When we arrived in the store, Stella immediately greeted us and asked how she could help. She was very patient with me as I made my decision for which phone I wanted to buy. I also asked her for the different prices of each so that I could make an informed decision and she did not hesitate to look up the 6 different prices I needed. I never felt pushed or rushed in my decision and she never stopped helping us to help anyone else. I don't like when you go to a cell phone store and the employees don't try to help you understand the phones and make a decision. At Verizon, I felt like it was up to me to figure out what I wanted first and then let the employees know when I was ready to be helped. Additionally, I have always had to wait lengthy amounts of time to be helped at Verizon due to the lack of employees working to meet the volume of customers. I ultimately decided on the Samsung S9 which was a big change from my iPhone 6S. I told Stella I wanted to keep my same number, keep my iPhone so I could use it at home to Face Time, and just have my contacts transferred over. She was so friendly and personable throughout this entire process and told us that we could leave the store while she got everything transferred over which we later found out she had to stay later at work in order to wait for us to come back. I was so shocked that she stayed for us and extremely grateful. In addition to the new phone, I also added a bundle of a Lifeproof case, car charger, and Beats headphones. I really like that T-Mobile lets you add these accessories to your plan which really suits our budget. Although the accessories I chose are considered to be "high end", I never felt pressured to buy them or add them to my plan. Overall, my fiance and I were extremely satisfied by the level of customer service provided to us by Stella. She was so patient, kind, and most of all personable which was great! Yesterday I went to the T-Mobile store in Annapolis mall as my family was switching over from AT&T to T-Mobile. I had to visit the store in order to transfer my current cell phone's number over to the new carrier. And since I wasn't completely clear on how the process went I had questions and needed some help. Well, the manager Antonio was particularly unhelpful, uncooperative, and rude. He essentially refused to help me because my name was not on the "authorized users" list and the main account holder was not there with me. However, the day prior, Sunday; November 26th, the account holder had added me to the authorized user list so I could take care of the switch-over myself. I got my relative (the main account holder) on the phone to try and figure it out. He asked to speak to Antonio on the phone to try and rectify the situation but Antonio was unwilling to speak to him as he said, "There's nothing I can do if the account holder isn't here." Finally, Antonio reluctantly accepted the phone and spoke to the account holder when finally, surprise!, it turns out I WAS an authorized user. There had been a mistake on T-Mobile's end where my name was, for some unknown reason, not appearing in the system as an authorized user - which Antonio made clear was someone else's fault. So after adamantly claiming he couldn't do anything to help me because the main account holder wasn't there, it turns out he COULD facilitate the switch-over, right then and there. If he'd been more cooperative and helpful, he could have determined that I was an authorized user himself, without having to argue and persuade him to help me. Throughout the entire process Antonio was rude and condescending. He had to be persuaded to do his job and help me. It's surprising to me that a business would allow someone with that kind of attitude and work ethic to represent them in a managerial capacity. I would think they'd prefer their managers to behave in a way that's conducive to benefitting the company by way of a helpful, professional attitude. So now my family is looking for an alternative carrier to switch our 5-line family-plan over to. The unprofessional, uncooperative manager at the Annapolis mall T-Mobile really turned us off to T-Mobile as a carrier. We'd just prefer a carrier who's managers are helpful and professional or at the very least, willing to cooperate with their (new) customers. My advice is to avoid this T-Mobile store at the very least and maybe T-Mobile in general. read more

THE worst!!! Customer service lies, they force you to buy out your phone after ending your account. The service is miserable and you never have a connection. Run to any other server as quickly as possible but especially do not go to the super rude store at Annapolis Mall. read more

I was a former employee at t-mobile in the Annapolis Mall for 2 years. As an employee, our store went through multiple managers and many changes. We had employees quitting left and right and more roles being hired than what could ever be managed. As a full time employee, when our old manager John was there, I was always guaranteed to work 40 hours a week. I loved helping customers and being a part of what I thought was a good company. When there were changes in commission and management, we were forced to sell to any customer, add features to their bill without them knowing, and even sign them up for mobile broadbands just to make revenue for the managers. When I got extremely sick in September and fell into a diabetic coma, my managers Anthony and Kaleb never called to see how I was. The only time when Anthony called me was to request his store key back which I had to take to him a few days just released from the ICU. No manager helped to grant me medical leave nor did they even care that I was so deathtrap sick. I became extremely sick from managers denying me a lunch break because they wanted more money and revenue for themselves. Shortly after my return to work, things only got worse and my health was worsening. Doctors appointments, hospital visits, and calling out for sick days did not seem to alert my managers. I had to fight to take breaks when my diabetes was out of control and I had to constantly remind managers that as they wanted, I could not wait to take a lunch or eat a snack when my blood sugar fell too low. Because of my sickness and needed medical attention, my manager also had a problem with me sitting down. My doctor wrote him a note saying that I was required to take a lunch and sit down when I needed. As my manager ignored and disregarded this note, I became very upset and very stressed out. I noticed that managers and my coworkers began talking about me and ignoring me. There was a report made in the store of sexual harassment and sadly, nothing was done about this because the store is too cheap to have working camera to catch such acts of theft or sexual harassment on video. I advise anyone going into that store to keep your children out of there because of sexual harassment and perverts. Make sure to look at your bill for unwanted features and be cautious that reps there will lie to you just to make commission and to meet revenue and to just get an activation. Most who work there know little to nothing about phones and plans and like to put on a good show. Managers know nothing and will always advise you to call customer care so that they are not bothered. As a former employee and someone who has been working in the wireless business most of my life, please save yourself the trouble and do not go here.
