The house is steeped in history, with so many different nooks, crannies and no shortage of china cabinets and trinkets filling the shelves. Family photos are lovely to look at. Breakfast was fantastic. My favorite was the baked Amish oatmeal. Not every room has a private bathroom so read the fine print although it seems each has its own window unit and wifi. We really enjoyed the sunflower room which has a small sitting area and jacuzzi bathtub. The only minor drawback is there's no bathroom door, just a curtain. I didn't see a hair dryer although that's a small potato. This is a BNB, not a hotel so be aware of that. Bring your own soap and shampoo for the shower but there are plenty of towels. We had such a lovely time chatting with Linda and her companions and two other guests. It's old fashioned but if you like old fashioned charm and authentic interactions like we do, you'll love it here. Minor drawbacks: you have to call to make a reservation; you can't lock your room from the outside so leave valuables at home or perhaps locked in your car. Despite these, we had a grand time and the location can't be better for almost anything on your agenda.

The breakfast was truly amazing both mornings, and the owners are very sweet in every sense of the word. They take such pride in making the stay a memorable one. A lot of the original features had to he recreated. The common rooms downstairs are nicely done and are a great place to relax with a glass of wine. There are many windows that let in the light. If you play the piano, you are welcome to do so with the grand piano in the living room. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable, but lack the warm, inviting feeling of some other B&Bs. They could do more to make them less 'sterile.' Breakfast is what I would call "continental plus." There were croissants, breads, cookies, yogurt , granola, etc. They use real silverware rather than the stainless steel restaurant forks and knives. The B&B is right next to a busy street so road noise is always there. That's a general problem in Lancaster County. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but thought it was overpriced for what we got. For over $200, we should have gotten a full breakfast and a very cozy room.

Hospitality is all about the details and this place nailed it! From complimentary snacks to a great welcome book to even the nice touch on folding the end of the toilet paper, the owners took care of every detail to make our stay comfortable. We also weren't expecting the breakfast to be so fancy! It was like we were at a restaurant with appetizers, drinks, and a beautifully presented entree. Local yogurt, homemade granola, yummm... it was wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here as we will definitely be back in the future!

We stayed int he Emma Belle Room f r the long weekend and it was very relaxing. We had our privacy with the option to mingle in common areas of the bed and breakfast. Linens in the house were very nice, water was nice and hot for the shower. The seasons at this place probably provide a variety of different experiences, we visited in December and the house was appropriately decorated for Christmas, adorable. There were fresh eggs, coffee, shoo-fly pie, and local bread on the table for our arrival. There is a very large table downstairs that would be perfect for a large family/friend dinner. You must check this place out!!! So great...

Each room is decorated with a variety of Victorian furniture and named after something musical. This is the place where we discovered their very yummy hot apple cider! Breakfast was filling and yummy. I believe we had French Toast with a size of fresh fruits and tea/coffee. We usually come up to Lancaster to go to our favorite restaurant there, Dienner's Country Restaurant. While we were here, we also got a chance to visit Jennie's Diner, conveniently located right across the street. There are no TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed that idea it gave us a more intimate setting. We ended up playing cards and with the chess set available in the nicely decorated living room (we were there during Christmas time). They were kind enough to take some pictures for us near the fireplace and Christmas tree. This time, like others, we went In December, and was able to enjoy our short time here. We were greeted warmly by Tim and Heidi again. I even got to enjoy some hot apple cider at breakfast! We enjoyed our time here and hope to visit again soon! :)
