What a beautiful store! I went in and found my niece's birthday present, a barely used, still in it's packaging Little Tikes swing, and the cutest little lace outfit! I loved the mix of new and used items. The store offers a lot for little ones of all ages and an entire maternity section in the back for mom. They have an awesome selection of baby carriers too, including Moby Wraps, my personal favorite ;) For a girl with no children, but plenty of nieces and nephews, this was probably one of the funnest stores to shop in for them. I would highly recommend my friends in Chico to shop here. The owners are also very knowledgeable and helpful which I need when it comes to buying for babies who aren't mine. 5 stars! read more

I love this place. I've got three kids and my philosophy has always been; buy clothes that are gently often as possible, as kids grow like weeds! And as long as there is a nice selection of fashionable clothing in like-new condition at way less than half the price, why not take advantage of that? Of course sometimes you have to really look around for something. Other times, you walk in and find a bunch of great items all at once. Like any consignment store sometimes it's hit and miss. But for the most part every single time I've been in I've found at least one great item. Most often I walk out of there with a bag full of clothes! Bring your own bag of course. There have been a few consignment stores here in Chico over the years and I've always had good experiences with them. I've been going to Apple Blossom Baby for many years now. The owners are awesome! Not only are they friendly and honest people but I also happen to believe in their philosophy on a lot of things. They have an awesome work ethic and run a wonderful business filled with a lot of positivity. They hire great people as well when they're not doing the work themselves. Great customer service, amazing owners/employees, and a ton of selection of new and gently used baby items. I wore my little guy into the store in his ErgoBaby carrier, and Darcy helped fix the straps for me (I got it as a gift, and no one had ever shown me!) making it so much more comfortable. After taking my time picking out the items I found (great prices!), I mentioned that my little guy was hungry and they invited me to sit in their rocking chair at the back of the store so I could nurse him. This store has a lot of cute items for baby and mama. I mostly come for the clothes. I trade in clothes my baby has outgrown and buy used clothes at half price. I can usually find something comfortable and stylish, but it helps to think ahead. If you're looking for a cute, used coat in the middle of winter you might not be so lucky so start looking in fall before all the seasonal items are snatched up. read more

They gave me a great trade-in value on some brand-new baby gear I was just ready to be done with because I had never used it. Wow, first yes they have made the new store location so inviting with products being very presentable and with lots of light. The owners put in so much effort to make this experience a joyful and calm experience for mom's and people searching for items for families with young ones. They have a play area and just so much product available I was impressed. Ranging from new to gently reused they are likely to have something for nearly everyone. In business for around a decade, I trust this business based on all they have done for us when our kids were little and I belive in what they are doing to help people with this need. I won't be returning...not particularly happy with my last experience with the store and owners. I have consistently brought in nice, quality items and quickly amassed an in-store credit of almost $70.00. It seems as though every time I have gone to use the credit it hasn't worked out due to the small print The credit can only be put towards a USED item that is NOT more than $20.00(per the owners $18.99) to be exact. I found out about the $18.99 rule because I recently wanted to purchase an umbrella stroller with my credit and they would NOT apply the credit because it was for sale for $20.00. I asked if they would come down the $1.01 so I could finally use my credit and they would NOT as they would not make any PROFITS! (While I was being rung up for the purchase I was asked to vote them "Best in Chico" I remember thinking, "I don't know about that" as I ended up paying for it out of pocket once again. I left the next day to go on my trip and the basket below the stroller was torn on one side-I was NOT happy to find myself in the airport with a torn basket and one they wouldn't come down $1.01 so that I might have used my credit! To be able to use my credit will be very hard for me as I have two growing boys who aren't babies any more. On more than one occasion employees mentioned to me that the owners can cash out my account as they have done that for other customers. When I brought that up while trying to purchase my stroller the owners stated that they don't do that. When I returned home from my trip I called and spoke to one of the owners and he said he was very sorry about the torn basket and that I could have a full refund for the stroller(this was great customer service that I appreciated)in addition I asked him again about cashing out my account as I have been having a difficult time in using my credit and was fairly frustrated with the situation at this point. He said that he could do that and thought that the rate was between 25% to 35%(disappointing) he had to check with his wife and let me know. I did not receive a phone call and called two more times with no note on my account per the employees. When I called back in today I spoke to the male owner and after explaining who I was and what I was looking for he told me "oh yeah I made a mistake it's only 20% to cash out so you would have about $15.00 to come and pick up. Really?! Well, I will be picking up the check and then taking my business elsewhere. I like keeping my business local and I like being green, but I think that this shop has gotten a bit too greedy and they need to think about how they treat their customers. read more

I like their selection of new toys and baby shoes, but dislike their system of buying used baby items for store credit. It seems rigged overly so in the their favor. Just try to use it for another item and you'll see what I mean. You have to use your credit for another used item. There is near nothing of value priced under the 20.00 rule. I gave them a bunch of items and amassed a big credit I can't seem to use. In reality, I would have been better off donating to thrift for the tax write-off. read more

I have been selling my local made clothing at Apple Blossom Baby for about 5 years. I have always had a positivie experience with the owners and employees. The monthly payments are handled very professionally. I am notified at the beginning of each month that a check is already made out and ready for me to pick up. I have also purchased items for my grandkids and baby gifts. The quality of the used and new items is exceptional. The expansions of the shop over the years proves how successful they are. Sometimes people don't understand that business' need to make a profit in order to stay in business.
