The store is located in a mall so there is plenty of parking. The store is located on the first floor. The front of the store is made of glass panels. The panels are opened up so the front of the store is completely open. The way it works is you sign in with on of the sales clerks. This gets your name on a list of customers. He takes your telephone number. then when it is your turn, they page you on your telephone. I was there to get ear buds. The salesman showed my a selection from which I chose one. He charged me on an iPad which he carried. I was waited on promptly. The stor was pricey but I know anything I purchase at Apple is the highest quality. I will return. read more

I purchased a computer for my son online, and I selected the Chestnut Hill location for pick-up. Granted we were there at 7PM on Labor Day, but why was the pick-up guy so rude? I have no idea. I just needed like -- 8 minutes -- to remind myself how to get into my icloud email (which I NEVER use), to find the pick-up QR code. This man kept trying to show me how to use my phone and to find the confirmation in messages, despite me being very clear that it wasn't in my texts. He was rude, and apparently stuck his tongue out at me when I wasn't looking, which my son saw. Very odd place. Glad I only have to go here once every 2 years. read more

I brought my phone to the Apple Store for help with a hardware issue, and not only did I have to return four times, but the phone came back more damaged each time, with problems ranging from Face ID not working to a cracked back glass. When I asked a manager when my phone would be finished, I was belittled and told things like "Well, I can't see the future," among more disrespectful phrases, which left me in tears as I exited the store. I was extremely disappointed, since Apple prides itself on customer service, but I was too scared to return alone and had to bring someone else with me the next time so I wouldn't feel put down for advocating for myself. read more

I have been an Apple customer my entire life; we even had an Apple IIe when I was a kid. I must say my head is spinning after my encounter with an associate this afternoon. I went to the Chestnut Hill store to change my old iPad for a newer model. In addition, I had a hefty Apple Pay balance from some gift cards. For whatever reason, the associate could not figure out why the order could not be processed with the gift card balance. Rather than escalate this to a manager or someone with more knowledge, he told me to call Apple. While this transpired, we did manage to wipe my trade in, so I left the store without ANY iPad. I went to the cafe on the second floor, and ordered the exact same items along with the gift cards without any issues. I should also add that he was simultaneously helping another customer, so he wasn't particularly focused on either of us. I overheard the other customer say, "You don't sound very confident." In general I like this place however my last experience left a lot to be desired! My Belkin screen protector cracked and I asked if this store could replace it when I received my new Belkin Screen protector, this person that day said yes. Well my new screen Belkin screen protector arrived and I return to this store to have it replace. This time the apple person said they couldn't do the replacement !!!! I asked why they said the screen protector Belkin sent me was a self apply one and they couldn't use it in their machine that applies screen protectors!!!! Imho that was BS they could have done it , it wasn't like the store was busy all the apple people were standing around looking for something to do! I had an appointment at the Apple Store in Chestnut Hill, MA yesterday. My reason for the visit was constant dropped calls and an a near inability to send and receive texts. The team member (who was very polite, and a nice guy overall) ran diagnostics on my phone. I was there for a considerable amount of time. He informed me that my phone had no issues. I went home thinking that my phone might now be ok (I had contemplated replacing it, while there, given the issue). It wasn't until a day later that I learned that the "Cellular Switching" setting on my phone had been changed. I know I never touched that on the phone, and the Apple tech guy didn't catch it. I spent the whole day today, trying to figure out what was still wrong with the phone. I ultimately had to drive to to a location where I knew the cell connections were strong, in order to get connection with my phone service provider (Mint Mobile, a company I have been ecstatic to be using for about 10 months). After 4 dropped call at the "strong" location, the AI assistant ("Mr. Fox") on Mint Mobile got me through the reset in my iPhone, which did nothing Thereafter, "Mr. Fox", the AI rep. at Mint Mobile, was able to get my service back, by suggesting I check "Cellular Switching" (something not checked at the Apple Store...would have thought the dsiganostic would have picked up on that), and I was finally up-and-running. I wasted a good part of yesterday at the Apple store, and most of today., at home, and ultimately on the road to a strong signal area This was a valuable lesson learned, but, the phone should have been checked in the Apple Store to verify that all settings were properly set up. read more

Following mixed experience @ Apple North Park Dallas TX this was wonderful. North Park Dallas was over scheduled & jam packed the day I picked up my new iPhone 17 Pro Max & Ultra 3 watch. And for some reason they were unable to process trade ins. They were also unable to activate new watch on Verizon. Plus they failed to email receipt for accessories I bought. So I schlepped old iPhone 16 & Ultra 2 back home and stopped by Apple Chestnut Hill the following week. Chestnut Hill Store Associate Joey took care of the trades seamlessly. He even helped me return an extra case [Joey found the purchase using my Apple Card.] While there I dropped my old iMac for secure recycling. In and out in 20 minutes; world-class Apple experience. It's hard to separate Apple's general idiocy from the attitudes of the poor slobs who have to sell it, but could they just maybe be trained to make eye contact and pretend to be human? The rep I dealt with, who told me it would take three to five days for another Apple Store to ship an Apple device to this Apple store (the benefits of Applecare) didn't once make eye contact or give any sign that she was anything other than an operating system. Whenever I asked a question, she would stare off into space as if reading a teleprompter. At the end, when I was obviously frustrated and upset, she told me to "have a nice day." Horrendously bad service from start to finish. My daughter made the appointment over the phone bc the app was so bad. She said she was looking to buy a MacBook. So of course the guy who answered arranged a repair visit. We showed up on time. After waiting for 20 mins, I asked the check-in guy how much longer we would have to wait. He said he had no idea. I told him that wasn't a great answer. He then rudely said he had no idea how to predict the future. My daughter went over and asked him the same question and he told her she was next in line. Why couldn't he have told me the same type of answer? I have no idea but I do know he was incredibly rude. We left the store after 35 minutes when someone came over to inform us that we were logged in for a repair visit instead of a purchase visit. Ryan, the store manager has absolutely zero clue how to work with a customer on an issue that doesn't follow the exact playbook of what Apple has as rigid un flexible policies I had an iPhone 15 Pro case which is an exclusive case to Apple. It was purchased by mistake the wrong size, and because of the fact we cannot produce a physical receipt. He was unwilling to exchange it for the proper case which was in the store and right next to me, when I explained to him, this was petty he turned and walked away. read more

The manager Malik was extremely rude. He would not allow me to BUY a replacement battery for my laptop, incorrectly claiming it was against Apple's policies to SELL a battery unless it was below 80% capacity (I suspect that he was confusing warranty service with sales). When I told him he was mistaken, Malik stated that he had worked at Apple for ten years and was familiar with their policies. When I told Malik I had purchased batteries in the past, he demanded I prove it (which felt like he was accusing me of lying). Eventually, after 40+ minutes of debate, I found Apple's battery replacement policy online and showed it to Malik. It is amazing that today is the first time in ten years that Malik became familiar with Apple's battery replacement policies. For heavens sake, I just wanted to BUY a battery from Apple! I wont be going back to this store. read more

My wife had her defective iPhone repaired after its GPS and Apple Pay started malfunctioning. The repair was $370. Soon after, it started malfunctioning again, but they refused to refund the defective repair. read more

I've been to a few Apple Stores and this one is unremarkable. They have a dozen or so tables set up with the latest iPhone and iMac and MacBook devices, if you really want to touch them after other people have touched them. (Ewww, get the Purell!) The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, the store is well stocked with accessories too. I would mention the free wifi which is great but the mall already offers free service. One very interesting thing here are the doors to the shop. I've never seen the pivoting glass doors and they're cool. read more

An Apple a day keeps the Microsoft away. Not a fan of the set up of any Apple stores, but they were perfectly friendly here, and much more helpful than the one in Houston or the one in DC that I've been to. Nice people and good service means I give a higher rating, so whereas those others scored 1 and 2 respectively, this one gets a 3 star rating. Still, their products are shockingly high on the price range, and built to break (in my opinion), so I'd never give any apple store more than a 3 based on that. These guys are super friendly and fixed my companion's iPhone the same day, and helped her out with memory issues and sold me a few accessories for less than the marked price (which was very high) as well. Friendly and efficient, surprising for an Apple Store. 3 stars. read more

I've gone into this Apple store twice recently. 1. Buying a new phone for my son - ATT didn't have the color he wanted & they suggested the Apple store, which should honor the price they offered as a partner. I asked the Apple employee this simple question. Instead of answering, she roped us into hooking up the phone to "check if it was working," made a host of ongoing derogatory comments: this phone is so old; "no-one" these days buys a locked phone from their carrier, and not sure whether there could be a trade-in (the phone had no cracks or damage). We had mentioned we didn't have a lot of time, so after 30-40 mins, I asked the basic question again because the phone had been hooked up for long enough. No answer again, so I said "I don't want to hear any more of the Apple spiel. I just want the question answered, thank you." Well, this lady was so offended and called me rude - after wasting 40 minutes of my wife's, son's and my time. The answer was no, they would not honor the ATT price, which was why we were getting the spiel, but she already knew that when I asked the question. .....Apple has become so predatory it is ridiculous. 2. I had an early generation of Airpod Pros, that were barely used. They look brand new. I tried to use them the other day and there is a hiss from one bud. So I took them in and waited forever; they said 'we'll run diagnostics" on them - (very technical!!) - after another 20 mins they come back and say they're shot! I ask, what did the diags say was going on? Eh dunno, they're past their best - we can sell you more. Compare this to a pair of Bose over-the-ear headphones that are 10 years old and I hadn't used for a couple years - I put a new battery in and hey presto, work perfectly. I can only think that the Apple products are built with a very specific timeframe in which they will operate then fail. Something is not right about the quality of the circuitry. I will buy nothing from Apple as far as is possible - they've turned into a greedy company that cares nothing for its customers! read more

David, in service, and Mustafa (his manager) were the least likable people I have ever worked with in an Apple store ever. We brought my son's brand new laptop in because the screen spontaneously stopped working. There was no damage at all to the device. After spending $1700 only 3 months ago, we were told it would be $420 as a starting place to repair it. They both stated that we were stuck having to pay for the repair or we could leave. With 6 grown children, I have bought more phones and laptops and desktops and AirPods, and iPads than I can count. I have been to Apple stores in Greenwich, Dallas, Palo Alto, Danbury, and Boston and have never had an experience like the one I just had. These two "customer service" individuals are way off brand and made an unfortunate situation a miserable one. read more

Terrible customer service at the Chestnut Hill, MA store. Upon walking in, an undistinctive guy wandered by me and said "how'r you". I explained that I was here to pick up an order that I'd placed over the phone 3 days ago. He said, "Don't expect anyone here to give you specific attention. Go to the table that says "Pick up", but if you need any other help, no one here can give you any 1-on-1 attention. Um.....OK. It was very obvious that the "workers" - the ones w/ the blue sweatshirts on, were only interested in talking amongst themselves. That was painful to watch. The man who assisted me was so vague. I never knew if he was talking to me or to one of his coworkers. He said: "I'm gonna have a friend go get your order." I asked "What?" and he repeated himself. "I'm gonna have a friend go get your order." What does that even mean?!! Is that normal customer-service-talk these days? The whole experience was odd and almost cult-ish. What's with the huge Wizard of Oz-like backdrop where the "friends" work behind? There were countless 'workers' wearing their blue tops, just milling around talking amongst themselves while customers like me were not impressed at all. Terrible atmosphere, terrible "service". Avoid this Chestnut Hill, MA store in 2024 if you can. I'm sticking to online service for anything else. Such a bummer. read more

Good news my small-eared friends, extra small ear tips fit old 1st generation AirPods. Tried to leave this review on the Apple website but it won't let me. Don't spend another $300 just to be able to put xtra small silicone tips on. Contrary to what Apple states on its website and to all the employees who tried their best not to sell these to me saying they're not compatible with my device, the xtra small tips do click onto the old 1st gen Airpod Pros. The employees spent a lot of effort trying to convince me not to buy them. Did anyone even try doing this??!! The tips themselves are $8. Get them and see for yourself. Happy listening. read more

Had appointment today to fix the screen on my phone for 3pm. When I got there, I was told that I can be squeezed in as a favor for 6pm. That they already took a lot of walk ins and can't take me at the time of my appointment ( I specifically made it to fix a screen on my phone). Manager lied to my face that he went in a back to check for availability while I was watching him all this time standing 6 feet away from me. Don't go there! Absolutely abysmal experience. Went in for a simple Apple Watch replacement strap. First, the 'stock' is on the send floor where there are none on display (those are on first floor where you can pick your new Watch and pair with your choice of strap). On the second floor we were sent downstairs to look and then place order. So back to first floor. Well, once there, we were told no one could help us and to go back to second floor. Ugh. Okay, no problem. Only no one seemingly wanted to talk to customers. The employees were in small groups bull$hitting about the weekend and ignoring customers. Very frustrating. There was only one person that was actually working. Alan was the sweetest, most empathetic person, and helped me retrieve my essays. I am incredibly grateful, for not only his skill, but his kindness. I walked in to the store and asked for help and staff who stand at the entrance just walked away and said find another person and she was completely free! And I waited for 5mins someone finally came, then I put an order for iPhone and he kept complaining that how busy he is.....making the angry face and so inpatient to told me to waited there and someone will grab my phone to me. Such a terrible experience. Apple just really needs to improve their customer service. In the past week I've been here twice, leaving much more upset and disappointed than I came in. The staff were nice but I didn't feel they genuinely wanted to help me. Other customer service reps of Amazon or Bank of America to name a few, have tried their hardest to find alternative options whereas in Apple they just stick inside the box and leave once they find one solution which you might not be able to take. I literally bought this laptop 1 year ago, and out of nowhere the laptop screen started to show horizontal lines on and off. I did not drop it or spill any liquid, and my warranty expired 42 DAYS AGO. They said my only option was to pay upwards of $475 to have the screen replaced which would take 7-10 days. I was leaving the country in 6 and they had no expedited shipping process. I couldn't believe that there was nothing else a student like me could do, considering how much I paid for the damn laptop in the first place. read more
