My husband and I went for a bargain Tuesday show at the Apple Cinemas and we loved the experience. At $5.75 each !!!! First time there, we were looking for the ticket booth, but now everything is electronic. We approached the iPAD and bought our tickets in a matter of just under a minute...very quick and efficient. The concessions looked really well set up with BurgerFi items on the menu and popcorn where you help yourself (you are given the empty tub or container and you fill it yourself). Apple Cinema really stepped up the movie theatre scene and after going there, I won't ever go to another movie theatre. Why you may ask?! Well...They have extremely comfy seats for starters! Seats are pretty much comparable to those bulky large black soft cushioned massage chairs you see at malls - minus the massage. Their chairs let you adjust your seat sitting upright or to a laying down position - adjustable to your preference. These seats are just so comfy - none of that squeaky cheap typical movie theatre chair. IYKYK! Spoiler Alert: My bf has been guilty of falling asleep mid movie in the theatre because he was so comfy... They have a great concession stand with plenty of options: Burgers, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, Popcorn, Slushies, Nachos, Mozzarella Sticks, Candy, Icecream. The food is average movie theatre food but the variety of options is definitely a plus. They did just add in a new burger line. Another stand out is they have a bar and lounge chairs/couches in this area. The couches is a double edge sword because it can attract a lot of teenagers on the weekends but can be a nice spot to relax if the theatre is not busy. You can also buy your tickets and order items from the concession stand in advance. This is a huge perk since I am a local and can just show up and have everything all set. Once all prepaid you just go right up to the cashier and they grab your items so you don't have to wait in line . Customer service is great but seating is meh. Some seats are broken and do not recline. For $20 a ticket I expect a functional seat. Addressed with management and the offered refund or free tickets for next movie which was extremely fair. I will definitely return. Convenient location and online ticket purchase. Never again. My first time there and I will never return. It was filthy. Every trash bin was overflowing, there was no soap in any dispenser, not to mention no hand sanitizer in those dispensers. Trash and food all over the floor. It took forever to get a drink at the bar even though I was the second customer. While at the mall we came in here to check out the offerings and prices. It looks impressive when you first walk in; newly updated. You buy movie tickets and order concession items at a kiosk. Convenient. The ticket prices here are higher than at the theater we usually go to, which is closer to home. They do have a military discount which is the same as the senior or child ticket price: two dollars off. The movies playing here are the same ones playing at the other theater too. I have seen some really negative reviews for this place, and although I'm sure those people had bad experiences, I really didn't see anything myself that warranted such severe negativity. I was here on a Tuesday for Bargain Tuesdays (a great deal!). The lobby area is huge and was pretty empty when we arrived. There was actually no one there to check our tickets when we went to walk to the theatre (which was very odd). I love the reclining seats and the little tray tables that slide forward for your snacks and drinks. Unfortunately the seat I had reserved was slightly broken. It would start to recline and then kind of got stuck and wouldn't recline further/all the way. Fortunately there was no one in the seat on the other side of my sister and so I ended up switching seats, but this would be very annoying if you reserved your seat and ended up stuck in a chair that didn't function properly, and then couldn't switch seats. I don't think the theatre is that old, but I wish they would do a walk through or something to note which seats require repair or replacement (maybe they do, but not often enough). Once I was in a working chair, the experience was really great! Since this theatre is conveniently located for me, and offers reclining seats which many other theatres in the area do not, I would happily continue coming here for future movies! read more

Like others, its a mixed bag. 99% self serve. Even if you pre-buy your ticket online, you still have to check in and print another one at the kiosk. Concessions are self-serve too. Don't know if it was just the time I was there, but the only options were soda, candy, and popcorn. Not that I was expecting dozens of choices, but was surprised they didn't have nachos, hotdogs, and/or pizza. There was no-one at the bar either. There was nobody checking tickets. In hindsight, I easily could've walked right in and gone into the theater without buying a ticket. I loved this theater decades ago before Mother Nature did its thing and now it's apple cinema. Well, it's terrible the only thing I enjoyed was the recliner and the spacious seats otherwise I would never be back. First let me tell you, that you do a self serve ticket buying or check in, okay cool that's fine. An older person would need help, but for my generation it's okay not bad. Me and my mom next move to be concession stand (my mom had a gift card) so we get in line, it moves quickly. Tried to get food, we were told the bar (we didn't want drinks) and the food isn't available mind you this was a 1pm movie on a WEEKEND. What do you mean no food? Only popcorn and candy and water or soda but nothing else. Um? So I was pissed because if I would've known I would've ate before going, okay my bad. It takes the girl 10 minutes to figure out how to use my moms gift card that came directly from their company, odd. We get to the theater, the floor is sticky on the way in, young kids yelling and screaming up and down the hall. There's a little sign next to a spill that is not being cleaned up while some kid with a mop just stands there. The movie was good though " Little Mermaid". Here's the juicy part, this theater double booked tickets. In my row a lady and her family bought tickets for 5, and another for 2. Well since they double booked by two different companies the seats were double sold. So the first 10 minutes of the movie I couldn't enjoy it because the family of 5 was livid and the mom was angry ( as she should be) but while they tried to figure that out that affected me enjoying the movie. This was very rude and annoying to say the least. The floors are as dirty as a jail bathroom, smells like piss and sticky floors all over. Never again. NEVER! read more

Recently came her for the first time and wow this theater is next level. Super modern and clean. Love that they offer a full bar and food you can order. Apple Cinemas opened in the old Showcase Cinema location next to the Warwick mall. Plenty of parking. As of today, it appears that they were not fully prepared for opening, so I do plan to review again in the next couple of weeks. 1st issue was ticketing. I purchased tickets the night before as it is assigned seating. When I showed up at the kiosk my tickets were not located. I had to stand in line and speak with someone in customer service - - I thought the whole purpose of ordering tickets ahead of time was to avoid fiascos like this. Despite the issue, staff were friendly/professional and were able to locate my tickets. Prices were standard for the area. Concession Stand was odd, and in not sure if I really like it. Pricing was not clearly posted. Candy was in odd dark cubby behind you, instead of in front of you, I ended up thinking they didn't sell candy. Large Popcorn, Standard Soda & 2 Icee's were $30. Popcorn was self serve with only one machine going for a busy day....and kids putting hands right below dispenser (all I'm thinking is germs). Bathrooms were spotless and stocked. Theaters were clean, great reclining pleather seats and clean tables. It was nice, but I wasn't wowed this time....But I'll try again in a few weeks when they work out the kinks. read more

We're glad to have this theater as it's in a great location and we want to support this business however it has a serious service, staffing management problem. The irony with that is the majority of the theater is self service, the reality of that is the place is a constant mess, sodas and drinks exhausted by mid day on a weekend, ultra sticky floors throughout all spaces but the biggest problem is the horrendous bathrooms. Out of service toilets, broken auto flushes and the always present puddles. No one should have to stand in that in order to just use the bathroom. Please hire and pay employees enough to make the movie experience enjoyable. read more

Everything is self serve and essentially free if you feel like just taking whatever you want. No need for tickets, nobody's checking. No need to buy the candy just sitting there, just grab it and go, nobody's watching. Bring a trash bag and fill it with self serve popcorn, nobody cares. Bring a water bottle and grab all the soda you want. If you don't like the movie, just go upstairs and turn off the projector. It's unlocked and nobody will notice. The movie theater is absolute garbage. I went on opening day and it was terrible. I decided to give them time. Now, over a year later, it's even worse. The manager saw us waiting in the concessions line and let us wait for about 5 minutes before saying the register was actually closed and we should go to the other line. The soda machine dispensed carbonated water, meaning they had run out of syrup for the drink. The popcorn is sub par. The chairs are broken. The auditorium was dirty and the floors were sticky. The far end of the parking lot is still cracked and raised. Just overall not worth the money they charge at this theater. read more

Gave it three chances to redeem itself. I figured I came to the theatre too early the first time so I waited to work out it's kinks before writing a review. So here it is. Nobody checks your tickets or seats, don't bother buying tickets - just walk in. Plus if you're not going on a discounted day, it's over priced anyway. If you reserve a seat, I'm sure somebody is sitting in that seat anyway. Do you really want to fist fight over a seat? No. So save your health insurance deductible. There is limited food. So you only have a choice of stale popcorn, candy and flat soda. Don't go there and watch a three hour long movie without eating you'll be guaranteed to go hungry. Nobody man's the bar or the concession area which causes the popcorn and soda area being a mess. The bathroom is disgusting. Like a crowded bar bathroom where coke is sniffed off the toilet seats and catch hep C - dirty. Like real dirty. The seats recline and has ample space. The arm dividers moves as well and that's really nice. read more

We tried Apple Cinemas just this past weekend. Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly: The good: The theatre itself is beautiful. The theatre rooms are clean, the chairs are comfortable, and the tables with the chairs are the perfect addition. Plenty of legroom too. The projection was so clear, and the sound was IMAX like, and overall, this is the TOP and BEST theatre in the area for quality and theatre rooms. The bad: We purchased our tickets online, through Atom, which the theatre's website redirects you to now. When arriving, I thought we wouldn't have to wait in line to print the receipt since I had a QR code on my phone, so we continued to check into the theatre and the woman literally said "I need you to print out the receipt so I can see how many seats you have"...THE QR CODE SAYS HOW MANY SEATS I PURCHASED! So, I went back in line just to print out a receipt that...wait for it...HAD THE SAME QR CODE ON IT! That makes absolutely no sense. Did she collect the ticket? Nope. Did she scan it even? Nope. It seemed silly. If you pre-purchased, you should just be able to show the QR code like Showcase and all the other theatres do. What a waste of paper, and an annoyance for the customer. The concession stand also needs some tweaking. There isn't a direct line that's formed, so after you get your tickets it's kind of confusing where to do. Clearer line setup would fix this easily. The concession stand also doesn't have "meals" So everything is individually purchased. And if you wanted a one-off, such as nacho cheese to dip your popcorn in, they can't sell it. They need you to buy nachos. The dispense your own popcorn machine was pretty cool, but like other reviews, we did find the popcorn to be a bit stale and not good. It was also a complete MESS despite multiple staff members just standing by doing nothing. Now to the ugly: The bathrooms were disgusting! I was surprised since previous reviews spoke about how great they were. There's also just ONE men's bathroom with only 2 urinals and 2 stalls....for a movie theatre this large it seems odd. There is 2 woman's restrooms. My wife confirmed that the one closest to the snacks was also filthy. Overall - this theatre still is working out it's kinks and I wouldn't avoid it...I think that with some customer feedback, they can improve the overall customer experience. The theatres themself are beautiful, which would prompt my return, but the customer service and snack experience, along with the filthy bathrooms need to be addressed. read more

I only go to this theater if I have to. The snacks are fine, the soda machines always have something wrong with them, and the ICEE machines work as often as a McDonald's shake machine. A few times I've been here, the bathroom was FILTHY. I've had a few experiences with the electric seats in the theater that don't work. HOWEVER, every time someone did eventually come and fix them. I'd pick Showcase over this any day of the week. read more

THIS IS THE LAST STRAW. I've had two bad experiences here prior to this: Broken seats, massive lines, broken ticket readers, inedible food - the list goes on. I tried to blame it on their recent opening, but enough is enough. They've finally proven they do not care at all. I reached out to the customer service email and it's been over a month with no reply, so here I am writing this review. My wife and I went to see Thor and THEY CROPPED THE MOVIE on the top and bottom to fit their ultra-wide screen. When I brought it up to the manager he said some people were complaining about the black space on the sides of the picture so this was their solution. (WHAT?!) Show movies the way they were meant to be shown. Studios send very specific instructions on how to project movies and you are ignoring them which aside from ruining the movie for everyone, could also land you in massive trouble with the studios. You're not only disrespecting the films crew, but also the audiences who are expecting to see the movie the way it was intended. Every characters face was cropped at the eyebrows during close ups. Entire characters were missing because you zoomed the movie so far in, and certain gags didn't play at all because you couldn't see what was happening. Please sack whatever cinephobe is making the decisions at Apple Cinema HQ and hire somebody that cares about movies. The chairs in the theater were a bit off, if you don't recline, you don't have a good clear shot of the screen, so basically you have to recline. I also had to change seats as the very top had no lights above us as we waited for the film to start. I mean complete darkenss. The table with the chairs were awkwardly large. They do offer unlimited free popcorn and drink refills which was nice. Tickets are a bit pricey than other theaters. read more

I am grateful to see my homestate's theaters reopening after COVID and surviving in the hospitality/entertainment industry. Unfortunately, the general manager was not accommodating. My partner has a very clearly marked ADA-registered service dog, and she told us we could not come into the theater without "ID that they mail you" which unfortunately is inaccurate. My partner was able to pull it up on their phone from the ADA website. We found information that it is actually not ADA-compliant to demand proof of ID for the service dog, so she broke the law. She was not understanding nor apologetic after her mistake. I could understand if we'd walked in with a dog without the ADA service dog collars (yes 2 clear service dog markings) however apparently this is not proof enough. Discrimination against folks who are neurodivergent / with disabilities is abhorrent and reprehensible. When we asked for her name later, another male manager gave us two different names and would not provide a last name. I'm unimpressed that they're more concerned about liability than accountability. Any other theater in Rhode Island is more worth my time. We will never be back, and I highly recommend that others don't either. read more

This theatre is fine movie wise. No water bottles!! I cant have an outside drink with water in it. I understand the rule if it was to steal soft drinks but why do have someone monitoring the machine then? If I wanted to bring my water I would have to pay $7 for a cup. Ridiculous. Both the blue raspberry and cherry icee flavors were down. Staff could be nicer. Showcase is 10 times better I would definitely recommend taking the 10 minute drive down the road. read more

Lots of potential here, but this cinema falls short in a few areas. First, the sound is so loud it's distracting. Second, the theater is nice and newly renovated but generally unkempt. The bathrooms were filthy each time we have visited. Third, the rows are not labeled or lit up. Once we finally found our row (thanks to the help of gracious neighbors), we noticed several other customers who could not find their seats due to the poor labeling. read more

As a mom of two I hardly ever get the time to have some time to enjoy myself without kids. My boyfriend and I decided to have a date night and watch bad boys that recently came out. I truly have to say I admired how clean the whole entire movie theater was especially since it's so large I know it can't be easy to maintain a clean space. Bathrooms were also extremely clean. Workers were so helpful and welcoming. Greeted us with a smile. You can tell the employees love their job which to me means there is great management which is important in any work place. The seats were very comfortable and loved that they reclined and had a tray. The food was hot/fresh and the quality was amazing considering it's a movie theater! Went to the movies last night. We walk in and immediately there is a line wrapped around the entire theater just for popcorn, fine, whatever. Once you get up to pay, all the employees are either on their phones, or dilly dallying. We got a fountain drink in which we had to ask for a refund because all the soda was watered down pretty much, and nobody felt like fixing that issue. The management there has absolutely no idea what they are doing. It was PURE chaos; it seems like all younger kids are running the place. The floors were FILTHY, and everything was disgustingly unsanitary. MOUNDS of ice under the soda machine, and there were no lids whatsoever for the soda cups even if we did keep the soda. The bar was BLASTING music and the place is just so unbelievably trashy. I don't know what happened, but when it first opened it was beautiful and nothing like that. Get it together. read more
