A few days ago, when my phone suddenly stopped connecting to cellular and none of the self troubleshooting methods worked, I stopped by this Apple store to get help from the genius bar. Cesar was my technician, and he was beyond kind and helpful. He diagnosed my phone had a software problem stemming from the beta program and tried to fix it. Sadly, my phone died completely during this process, so I had to purchase a new device. I was able to snag the last phone of the kind and color I wanted that they had in stock. While it wasn't the outcome I originally hoped for, Cesar's friendly attitude made an otherwise frustrating situation easier to deal with, so kudos to him! read more

After stopping her and asking her for help she was nice, and fast. Wait time: terrible 2+ hours I went in for trade in unfortunately none of my items were eligible. To save you time, if items do not turn on they will not be Eligible. Take all items fully charge so they can be able to get serial number. I love Apple, ya know? I have the entire ecosystem...all the tech. Fun fact about me, I love tech. I've been asking and receiving tech gifts since I was a kid and it seems that has not stopped well into my (young) adulthood. I'm a real adult, but forever young. You know what I mean, right? I use my Apple Store app a lot! This is my second time purchasing the 80-pack of FUJIFILM INSTAMAX Mini Film. Great value for a great price (67.95), this shall last me well until mid-2026 maybe? My job has a ton of wellness programs and I'm able to use my "health points" for cool things. And if you're guessing the cool thing is my Polaroid then you're absolutely correct! I should have added a photo here for visuals. Anywho, buying film by the 10-pack is a waste of my time and money so shoutout to Apple for their great value and product! I also purchased a new phone block for charging purposes. I can only use "cheaper" blocks for so long so I decided to bite the bullet and get a real one. My experience was great, and the pickup was a breeze. They provide concise/clear instructions on where to pickup online orders. In addition to that, customer service was great! Shoutout to Bria! I ordered a hard drive for my Mac Mini and had to pick it up at the Apple Store Highland Village. I could had ordered a lower priced drive and pick up at First Colony Mall. I didn't know this store was that bad even though it's located at a high-end neighborhood. This was my second time here. Last time, I was here to shop for AirPods. Getting here was supposed to be easy. But Google Maps took me to a street with full of street bumps just to avoid freeway congestion. Then, there was no parking spots near the store. I had to park in front of William Sonoma and walked. Ugh. I told one employee that I was picking up. He directed me to the order pick up counter. A nice gentleman scanned the QR code from my phone. It didn't come up. He scanned again from his iPhone. It didn't come up. Asked when I ordered it. I told him that was just last night. Ok. If the email said it's ready, why it's in your system. He then searched by my name and it came up. Ugh. I also looked at the iPhone cases. Another nice employee came to assist. He told me about the features and etc. I just didn't like the feel of the cases. Then, I proceeded to the Apple Watch section for the bands. The first employee came to help. But he said, "I'll be right back." But never returned. I had to search it on Apple Store app to find the price. Ugh. $99 for Alpine Loop. Since there was no one attending me, I walked out the door. This is probably the nicest Apple Store in Houston and is located in the higher end River Oaks area so this is about the best quality service you can get. Clean interior and it is well staffed. Processes could be smoother to help transfer data between your current and new phones but it's what you would expect. Trade in's are done in person and fairly quick. Value is subjective; I'd rather own AAPL stock than buy the newest and greatest. read more

The temperature in the store is under 70F, the air blowing from the ground extremely cold air made my daughter freezing and I had to walk out frequently to warm up. My joints and bones are in pain. I love this Apple location because of how big and fancy it feels. It's also located in such a nice area, so it's fun to walk around and go to other stores once you're done with your appointment. My aunt needed her screen protector replaced, so we waited for less than 5 minutes and they already had us getting the replacement. The service was really fast, and the person who was helping us took the time to explain how to request a new screen protector online and get it shipped instead of having to come in next time. Definitely would recommend getting your product registered because she said it would have been free to get a new screen protector if the phone was registered. read more

I think I picked the wrong day to go here because it was the release of the new iPhone and I just went to get a case. Parking wasn't too bad and I got a covered spot at Crate and Barrel across the street which is a win in my book in this oppressive heat of second summer. Non iPhones had a separate pick up line but they couldn't match my order even though it was already labeled for me so I had to sit around waiting for them to figure it out. I've always had positive experiences at this store, but today was disappointing. I visited to explore trading in my iPhone 17 Air (purchased 3 months ago) for a Pro model. I knew it was a long shot since Apple doesn't currently offer trade-in values for current-gen iPhones. The manager, Rob, explained they couldn't process a trade-in or return outside the 14-day window, which I expected and understood. What I didn't expect was his comment that "14 days is more than enough time" to make that decision. When I pointed out that's subjective, he doubled down, implying I should have been more diligent. I get that policy is policy. But there's a difference between explaining a policy and blaming a customer for not meeting it, especially one looking to spend more money. Rather than offering alternatives or simply apologizing that he couldn't help, Rob chose to lecture me on what I should have done differently. That's poor customer service, plain and simple. Didn't check them or do any troubleshooting. Took them to a diffent Apple Store in galleria and they found it was a charging error. They work just fine and needed a reboot. Problem fixed. I've been a fan of Apple for a long time. (I actually owned a Lisa). I just don't like being treated as if my time does not matter. Called for an appointment and told them that I wanted to upgrade my wife's IPad. Got there early and told the guy at the door I was there to buy an IPad. Someone will be with you shortly. Shortly in this case meant an hour, 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. My wife wanted to leave but I said we're here. Let's just get the IPad. Finally talk to salesman and tell him what we wanted. He informs us that they have no iPads, haven't for a while and don't expect shipment until mid January. Couldn't they have told me when I called? Not very helpful. Especially when you're purchasing at high dollars. After I ordered they scanned my code and I just stood there waiting. So finally I asked what's next. That's when they said they'll bring it out and I could have a seat. Wait time was really quite excessive seeing that I preordered hoping to avoid a long wait. I asked about a trade in of my old phone while waiting. They took a quick 2 second glance and not taking any time to inspect it, and they said the screen was cracked so no. Actually it has a screen protector on it and that's the only thing that was cracked. Not the screen underneath. If they had spent more than 2 seconds making this determination they may have realized this. I don't go to many apple stores but the staff here is beyond poor. read more

Went in on Sunday, October 13th after having a ***horrible*** experience with Apple-Galleria. (Don't even bother with the folks at Apple-Galleria; just drive to another Apple Store.) Even though it was approaching closing time, Highland's team was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! From the first greeting at the door to directing me to the "Genius Bar", each step of the way the hand off was consistent and they explained what they were doing. Special thanks and recognition go to the following SUPER STARS: - Simran - Ronnie First, Simran was warm and friendly then ran a diagnostic test to see why my iPhone would not come on and not respond to any of the buttons. He took the time to explain EVERYTHING and made me (a non-tech person) feel knowledgeable and confident as I decided what the best solution would be: buy a new phone or get this one repaired. Next, he introduced me to Ronnie (in sales) who was an absolute doll, a gem and joy to work with!!! She not only empathized with my situation - I was on the verge of tears and she had me laughing by the end - but gave me more insight as to my options and how Apple could help me. This review is regarding the Genius Bar yesterday I came in and made an order for the new iPhone 13 but also need to get my 12 repaired so I can get it traded in right so I make an appointment for today at 12:10 I was there over an hour early so we waited outside till 12 o'clock walked inside only to find out my appointment hadn't been said well do you have a confirmation email they said I look sure enough there's nothing there well sorry I cannot help you without that you'll have to make another appointment for for five hours later really. and just to make things a lot easier and save a lot of time at that Genius Bar for other people wouldn't it make things a lot easier if someone was trading in their phone to deduct the deductible away from the trade-in rather than have them have to go through the stupid Genius Bar pay their deductible just to trade the phone in I think a lot more people just go ahead and buy new phones anyway come on Apple for the little thought into the process I mean I'm not saying y'all are stupid but that is a stupid process. read more

This is my favorite Apple Store and it's in the best location! I signed up for an iPhone class and a video class. Both were really good and the instructors were excellent. I also purchased an Apple Watch as a Mother's Day gift for myself. Even though it was a video class, that instructor took the time to show me how to setup and use my Apple watch since I was the only person in the class. My kids laughed at me for even taking both classes since I've been a user of Apple products for years. But I'm glad that I did because I actually learned something new in both classes! read more

Walking in, i realized I walked in from the back of the store. A little bit confused and not sure who to talk to, I walked to the front of the store. The first person I encountered was Nick and he was welcoming and eager to help. He knew exactly who i should talk to to get checked in for my appointment and how the wait time wasnt too long etc. I was not having a good day with my broken laptop and his friendliness kinda made me feel better. Then Liam came to see what's going on. He was knowledgable and made everything so much easier by explaining which macbook would fit the best for me etc. Both Nick and Liam were amazing when i visited this store. I ended up with the macbook 13-inch + touchpad and i really love it. i opted in for the yearly coverage which i didn't even know that was a thing until Liam explained it for me. All in all, i was a bit worried with the negative reviews but my visit was pleasant. the parking was croweded yet wasn't too bad. was able to find a parking spot like in 1min. read more

My daughter and I came here to get her phone replaced. She shattered hers on the front and the back. I thought finding a parking spot would be difficult like it usually is, but I was wrong. We are always greeted once we enter this location. They have two entries. Main entrance on the side of Westheimer, then there is a back entrance that leads to the parking lot. We have not been here in like maybe a year and I like how they separated the Genius Bar and the sales area. The decor is nice, and you can see all of the latest gadgets. The associate that helped up was very friendly and personable. He was able to get the real story out of my child as to how her phone shattered on both sides. Lol. Bring a novel to read while you wait and wait.... I was called by Apple and told to "just drop off" for repair, no additional appts. needed. Just dropping off means waiting under a tree for 20 mins for someone to take my phone. I wish I had known, I would have brought something to read, instead of uncomfortably sitting there for 20 mins waiting. I learned. I asked how long the "just pick up" process would be : 15-20 mins. Lost my phone at the rodeo, came in to get it replaced. Was told i needed the lost and stolen applecare and I'd have to go to my service provider (very valid), the ONE star that i wish was ZERO is for the rep that looked my account information up and saying "....and after looking more your applecare is expired, so you dont even have applecare with us." I stated i knew my applecare was current as I'm being billed monthly for it. His ugly a$$ got an attitude and tried to REITERATE a lie. Go anywhere else but this location. Parking at this location is horrible. It's almost like they put all these stores here and parking was a complete after thought. We ended up parking across the street in the Crate & Barrel parking lot and browsing that store before walking over. When we got here, the A/C was out too. They were out of a lot of the phone cases and while I get that the 16's just launched, Apple does this thing where they completely don't acknowledge previous phones ever existed when they come out with new ones (at least that's how it feels when it comes to shopping for accessories for them). It would be nice if I could shop at least a couple of the Apple-branded cases in new color ways for my device that's barely a year old versus it getting the red-headed step child treatment, especially since they manufacturer below-par cases like the silicones that chip and crack and need to be replaced or the nightmare that was Fine Woven. It's also clever how they hide all the people there for repairs behind the massive screen in the store. read more

First time back in a while, and for people comfortable of doing all your shopping online, why come to the store if you don't need to?? First parking in this area is horrible, so on any busy shopping day, expect to play musical chairs looking for a spot. They recently put up a giant wall / video display in the middle of the store to divide the space between service and purchases. They also added more tables so it's really quite crowded. Each of the different tables feature specific products, so for example you can go to the Apple Watch table to see bands and finishes. They don't have as many accessories or different products to see anymore, so aside from the hands on experience of comparing models, most of the info you can find online. I was trying to buy an Apple TV, and the rep I talked to was really obnoxious. Seems like Apple is a bit too mainstream these days, so customer service isn't like it used to be.. However, it did. It sent to my boyfriends email and ruined his birthday surprise. Second, he gave me a SE 40 instead of 44. When I called the next day I had the pleasure of speaking to Stephanie.
