Loved this orchard!! C really loved the whole experience!! She was like clownfish in an anemone. All happy and stuff... stop rubbing on that tree! It was a beautiful place to visit. C had making it to a real apple orchard in New Hampshire on her list of must do while we were this far north. We were there in mid October and it was right at the end of the season it seemed. This place has so many treats and fresh produce to choose while you are here. Oddly enough, the best thing I got from here in my opinion was the local beef jerky! So good!! I wish I had more right now! The orchard itself was pretty cool. I'd never seen so many apples. Most of the trees were full of fruit with apples all over the ground. I guess they must yield more than they can use because the shop was full and they had open tours where you could go and pick your own apples. There were tons of varieties of trees on the farm. Lots of other produce is available here too. It appeared to be a complete working farm. The landscape was gorgeous as it's nestled on a sloping hill where you can see for miles it seems. The shopkeepers were super nice and we purchased a few things. A flight in a couple of days back home prohibited us from getting too many things. Had a great experience apple-picking at this vast (30 acre) orchard that was once a ski slope (the owners kept a few of the reminders to honor the history)! From the kind worker (28 years working there seasonally from Jamaica to help the owner) driving the antique Tractor bringing us to the top of the mountain-to the owner in the golf-cart asking us if we needed anything while strolling the orchard, to the cute farm stand baking cookies and selling everything you can think of made locally! Btw, the price of the apples was less than half we were going to pay for PYO locally where we live just outside of Boston. Worth the day trip! It was about 1 1/2 hours for us south of Boston but worth it the escape! read more

I want to preface this review and say that I might have just been there during the wrong time of the year. Picking wasn't available and although the farm stand had some selection, it also felt like low stock. But maybe August is not the time of year for these activities. The apple cider doughnuts were dry, unfortunately. I would give this place another chance at a different time of year. read more

A very cute apple orchard that offers so many different fruits, veggies and flowers. There is always a great selection of local items. We stop in several times throughout the year. Their homemade jams and jellies are delicious. They make great gifts especially since they are NH made. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. This farm stand is full of lovely fresh fruits and vegetables. It offers pick your own mornings of M-Sat. The stand is open long hours every day of the week. In addition to all the farm fresh produce are delicious baked goods like pies, cider donuts, cookies, and eggs and other dairy products, jams, breads. The outdoor tables are for most of the produce and other products are inside and open small barn building with all doors open providing plenty of fresh air. Workers wore masks and it was easy to social distance from customers and staff. Key word should include "farm stand" and "pick your own". read more

My family looks forward to picking apples at Apple Hill each year. We typically pick (or purchase from the farm-stand) 4-5 times per season. I visited today and was treated terribly by the staff. I will not return to Apple Hill and would not recommend. read more

Just read they don't even make their own donuts? I'm not surprised after just trying their 'Homemade Blueberry Jam'. Gross. Dried blueberries. I don't care if they picked them and dried them themselves, you don't use dried blueberries in a homemade jam. Very disappointing. It may be pretty, but there are better farms that also have foliage. read more

Great family farm located off Mountain Road in East Concord... Easily accessible from highway 93 on exit 17. The owners have devoted their adult lives in developing a wonderful apple orchard on a south/west sloping hillside. They offer pick your own strawberries; blueberries; raspberries .. Pumpkins and other vegetables. Their store provides freshly baked goods from their field grown crops along with products from neighboring NH and Vt farms .. They have a website that provides the dates and times of operations along with harvest schedules... Very popular spot for families and children.. who return year after year in tradition like manner. They also accommodate school trips, teaching the youngsters the pleasure of farming in NH.. My entire family returns here in the growing season for the various harvests and have never been disappointed .... in 15 years read more

Well, after contacting Apple Hill Farm about my disappointing experience with the raspberry jam, they immediately responded to me with an apology and an offer to credit me back the cost of the jam or to send a replacement. I asked for a replacement which arrived today. To say I'm bowled over by the service is an understatement.....AND the replacement jam is absolutely wonderful. It reminds me of the flavour, colour and smell of the raspberry jam that I made when I was a kid (many moons ago!) - there's nothing artificial or fake about this jam...it's the real deal! They also, very kindly, included a jar of the raspberry jelly which is also delicious. I am surprised no one had reviewed this place. There are lots of variety for apple picking, abt an hour from Boston, friendly ppl and great baked goods at their farm stand. Although they didn't make their own apple cider donut which I always look forward to when I went for apple picking, the "ian wicked good donut" that they sell there are pretty good as well. The view at the farm are also incredible!!! I got to enjoy the beautiful foliage and apple picking at the same time. This is a working farm. They also sell vegetables as well. We were passing by on our way to Tilton from Concord. Loaded up on peaches, corn, jam, and baked goods. Polished off the jam in two days and are going back for more! We are from out of town in a hotel and were able to successfully cook the corn in a microwave. If we lived here we would definitely be regular customers. read more

We visited the farm today to pick strawberries and were directed to a certain area of the field to pick. We were very surprised as the plants were extremely scorched, lifeless and looked very unhealthy. Our guess was that this section didn't receive proper watering. We did pick in this area and were concerned about the flavorless berries and the practically dead plants they were growing on. The farm was closing for the morning and we were strongly urged to leave. As we headed back to pay we walked through another section of the field where the plants were completely different, very healthy and the strawberries much bigger and the flavor was very sweet. We are upset that although the strawberry plants were obviously unhealthy and the berries were of poor quality, we were directed to pick there! I will not be picking at Apple Hill Farm again! Also So very upset to be charged 2.00 for the box to put the strawberries in! read more
