    Milk

Prices are screaming over the top, it's the lack of competition. They are always out of cream and one of the employees is just miserable. Other than that, enjoy waiting inline with parents who have no choice but to purchase the milk for their kids.

RECEIVED OLD FOOD (OVER 2 YEARS OLD) On January 12th I ordered some organ meats and 2 packs of pigs feet from Brookford Farm to make a traditional cultural meal for a family member's birthday. Their birthday is on January 21st. I decided to defrost the pigs feet in the fridge two days before their birthday, but I noticed as it defrosted more that the date on both packages says packed on 2018. The date was hard to read when it was frozen. I was irked by this because the food is way too old and probably low quality due to age. On top of this, 2 packs of pigs feet costs $6, and can be a little more or less than $6 due to weight. I was charged $15, more than double the price, for old food. I contacted the sales email on the 20th and asked for a replacement, but if no replacement is found then a refund is fine. I was told that a replacement will be searched. I dont hear back for five days, so I email again and ask for an update. I'm told that they'll be back on the 27th to find a replacement. I still dont hear anything back on the 29th, so I emailed and asked for a refund. Im told the refund will be processed. Now its February 5th ( a week later), I contact the farm again to ask for an update. Im told the refund should come in today. Now the book keeper contacts me and says it was put as a credit on my account, which I never asked for, and a refund will take 7-10 days. So basically I've had to wait 2 weeks for a refund, then received a credit I never asked for that I dont want to spend because I received old food for my family member's b-day, and now have to wait another 7-10 days for a refund. I said I am very frustrated by the credit and having to wait a total of 3 weeks foe this refund. Finally Im told I'll get a check in the mail. I'm super frustrated by this whole thing, and upset that old food was sold in the first place. I wasnt going to wrote this review if the replacement or refund was issued quickly, but it took so long. Old food shouldnt have been in the freezer in the first place. I wanted to support local farm delivery due to being homebound because of the pandemic. They're the only farm delivery service near me that sells organ meats. For now i'll be getting deliveries from Seven Sons Farm in Indiana for their organs meats from now on.

I got really excited for the dairy and it's really really good. Sweet, creamy whole milk. Cheeses, cream cheese, quark, yogurt, buttermilk.

Hackleboro Orchards - Who doesn't love apple picking!?

Nice people. We showed up right before the skies opened up and it began to pour. The people were…read moreattentive as they could tell we didn't know anything and weren't from the area so they gave us the run down and let us go out and get soaked. Was really hoping to get some apple cider but then we're making it, so we picked some apples, bought a pumpkin, apples, and syrup, and headed out to dry off. Would have liked to try this dry, and with more stuff in their selling barn area but - can't win them all.

Hackleboro Orchards is THE place to go in northern NH for pick-your-own apples and all sorts of…read morefresh produce. Easy accessibility from exit 18 off of 93 and ample free parking makes getting here and getting your wares out simple and part of the fun. The drive up to Canterbury and through the town is absolutely gorgeous, and traffic levels stay relatively low. Hackleboro boasts acres of apple trees of many different varieties -- McIntosh, Cortland, Red and Gold Delicious, Puritan, Empire, and Northern Spy (call for availability). Long-handled pickers are provided, and the management requests that patrons refrain from climbing trees. They also have pick-your-own blueberries, peaches, strawberries, and other fruit (when in season), as well as a farm stand with freshly-made apple pies, apple cobblers, home-made cider, honey, maple syrup and candies, flowers, cookbooks, pumpkins, and lots more. Everything looks and tastes wonderful, and I make a special trip up whenever I can during the fall because of the sheer quality as well as my belief that it's important to support local farmers and family-run businesses. I know the family that runs the orchard, and they give the utmost care to the trees and animals under their watch. Speaking of the animals, there's a goat pen and some rabbits, as well as a horse, some chickens, and a number of farm cats and dogs. The farm is extremely family-friendly and bringing children and (leashed!) pets is encouraged. There are even free tractor rides on weekends! There is also an observation deck at the front of the orchard -- it boasts vistas of the mountains superior to anything else I've seen in the area. Treat yourself to a trip to Hackleboro Orchards. (There's a farm stand in Boscawen, too, and the farm attends various fairs each year, including the largely popular Deerfield Fair.) You will not be disappointed -- the quality of the products, the care of the people in charge, and the overall air and feel of the place is unparalleled. Hackleboro isn't just a business -- it's a family, and when you visit, you're a part of it too.

Hackleboro Orchards - HORRIBLE !!!! Apples are pitted and gross. They make you prepay and won't refund your money once you find out how bad they Are.

Loved this orchard!! C really loved the whole experience!! She was like clownfish in an anemone…read more All happy and stuff... stop rubbing on that tree! It was a beautiful place to visit. C had making it to a real apple orchard in New Hampshire on her list of must do while we were this far north. We were there in mid October and it was right at the end of the season it seemed. This place has so many treats and fresh produce to choose while you are here. Oddly enough, the best thing I got from here in my opinion was the local beef jerky! So good!! I wish I had more right now! The orchard itself was pretty cool. I'd never seen so many apples. Most of the trees were full of fruit with apples all over the ground. I guess they must yield more than they can use because the shop was full and they had open tours where you could go and pick your own apples. There were tons of varieties of trees on the farm. Lots of other produce is available here too. It appeared to be a complete working farm. The landscape was gorgeous as it's nestled on a sloping hill where you can see for miles it seems. The shopkeepers were super nice and we purchased a few things. A flight in a couple of days back home prohibited us from getting too many things. I won't likely ever return as it's far away and I have been there, done that.... But, YOU should totally go! '26 - 16
