I love the Kahala store. I am self taught and they have been so patient with all my silly questions. They already know me when I come in. I don't care for he AlaMoana store because it is SO BUSY and the people there have total attitude. I love that. People! you work here! you do not own Apple!! So I order a laptop online (because they had none in the store). I happen to also work in the mall so I had my new MacBook Air shipped to my job--which shares an address with Apple. UPS saw Apple on the box and made an assumption and delivered it there even though my suite number was on the box. I get my text from Apple saying the shipment was delivered when I'm standing there at work and signed for UPS and know that it wasn't delivered. So I call. First genius experience: I explained no less than THREE times to her that I work in the same mall as the Apple Store and therefore I believe my laptop was inadvertently delivered to the store rather than my work place. She insists to me that there would be no reason for them to deliver it to the store. Clearly my explaining is not making any sense to her, but against her better judgment she calls the store and lo and behold, whaddaya know, they have it. Imagine that. Second genius experience: I go to the store AFTER verifying over the phone that they have my delivery. I explain to the genius bar check in person that I'm simply picking up a laptop that was mistakenly delivered here--I'm in my screaming bright work uniform and tell her I work here in the mall. She's not getting it either. Same schpiel: there's no reason we would have it here--let me get you a Salesperson. (!!!) Now I visibly see people congregating and discussing this. She gives me to two sales people--and another checker inner--before actually going to get a manager from the back...who comes out with my box...and then proceeds to tell me that they should have REJECTED the shipment and have it sent back to wherever it came from. (!!!!!!!!!!!!) Um, I just spent $1400. ARE YOU @©%!µ SERIOUS?! THAT'S what you say to a customer that just dropped a wad of money on your $#!†? Not something more along the lines of "sorry for the misunderstanding..." or "thanks for waiting..." or "We should have just had UPS bring it up to you..." Nope, Asinine says that to me. I honestly have had some GREAT experiences at this Apple Store! In general the customer service has been top notch. HOWEVER, tonight I experienced some very RUDE service. I came into the store thinking that I could buy a warranty for my computer. I waited for help for over 30 minutes. I was extremely patient even though it seemed as thought the workers all were handing me off to different people. One of the workers even took a customer whom had just arrived right before me. But, that wasn't the worst part. When I finally did get some help, it turned out that the time period for me to buy my warranty had just expired a few days before. I had messed up! I was so disappointed... My extremely expensive MacBookPro was now without a warranty. It wouldn't have been a big deal because it was not the employees fault. BUT, when I asked if there was anything that could be done, the employee not only laughed in my face, but chose to tell four other employees the situation. They then all laughed and told me I was "out of luck". It was actually four of them across the genius bar and me by myself on the otherside, feeling like a school girl getting made fun of. I understand that a policy is a policy, but please don't laugh in my face when I am already really disappointed about my mistake. read more

While I would like to copy Anjelika K's review - just about verbatim - I will not. I went into the Kahala store because I was in the neighborhood and need a few accessories. They didn't have what I needed for my MacBook, but had the ipod wire I grabbed that. All the multi-colored t-shirts peeps were all busy so instead of raising my hand for help in the middle of the store, I headed towards the person who was ringing another person up. When it came to my turn, the royal blue t-shirt guy grunted and muttered. In addition, he had the audacity to talk back. OK, I understand that maybe it's not in your job description to ring up my purchase if you're a techie and that's fine with me, but do you have to be a jacka$$? Could you not have said, "Let me get someone to ring you up"? He reluctantly took my credit card and no "thank you", no nothing. I was so ticked I found myself returning my purchase and speaking to another multi-colored t-shirt person and the manager. Truth be told, the manager tried to defend his rude techie by attempting to explain the whole "color code t-shirt" deal - which by the way, I already understand. At the same time, he apologized for his employee's behavior and said that he would speak to him about it. Their two stars are because 1) they're in my hood and 2) their manager's customer service. I don't know if it made a difference or if he even spoke to the techie, but I know for sure that I will not step foot in there ever again. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I walked in wanting to purchase an iPad 2. The store was not busy at all. I had to go up to one of the blue shirt guys, tell him "I want to buy an iPad", and he said he'd find me someone. I proceeded to wait for 10 minutes, had to ask another sales rep if she could help me. She called her associate over and he then got me my iPad. They were very nonchalant. Uncaring. Seriously? Maybe I'm not buying a computer system, but to most people $700 is a lot of money. Treat us that way, please. Never going back to Kahala. Actually, now that I think about it, when I was at the Apple store, researching iPads, one of the guy sales associates comes up to the table and announces "Does anyone have any questions about the iPad?" and then just leaves. Seriously? We are a little more intelligent than that. By the way. Apple disturbingly doesn't care about guest experience feedback either. Try going to their website and submitting feedback. Non-existent. So dissapointed Apple. I'm sticking to purchasing online from now on. read more

Came here to get my iPhone 7+ battery replaced. When you get to the store there is an attendant checking you in. Since I had an appointment I was ushered in right away. Then a technician came walked me to the back to go over my iPhone. The technician ran various diagnostic test to ensure all was ok with the phone. You need to sign out of find my iPhone before any test can be performed. He did find that my iPhone failed the audio test so he inspected the audio ports and noticed it needed to be cleaned out. He pulled out this gummy like substance and proceeded to push the gummy stuff into the ports pulling out lint & debris! He said you should notice a difference in the volume. Once all that was done he took my phone in the back for repair and said to come back in two hours. I was a little surprised that it was going to take that long. When I returned to pick it up, the process went smoothly. They put your phone in a plastic shield in order to be a contactless transaction. I check the battery and it was at 100%! All in all the whole process was easy and pain free. Oh by the way the cost was $49 before taxes and if you pay with your Apple credit card you get 3% cash back. read more

I went to the dark side: an Iphone. Immediately, I was fearful of the entire experience required by setting up my phone, porting my number to ATT and all of the sticky stuff involved. So there I am, the day after Christmas no less, being sucked into the vortex...I am practically grabbing onto the wall to keep from being pulled in when I see the thousands of Apple-cores milling around. But I take a deep breath, and step inside. As if through the light, steps Hilary. A friendly human who can speak the language of the uninitiated. She sets me up, she answers my questions, she gets me going and I walk out of there 20 minutes later with working Iphone in hand. After leaving the mall, J (the brave, the bold, the husband) decides he doesn't want an Itouch after all (my gift to him) he wants an Iphone. So, we return the Itouch at COSTCO, and run back to the mall after running some other errands...and there is Hilary. She remembers us, she gets us going and BOOM, we're out of there with no pain. AGAIN. This chick isn't kidding around!! Kudos to Hilary and the Apple staff, because on the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS they turned a scrooge into a smiling elf (appropriate since I am 5'1)! OK, I will admit, writing a snarky review is SO much more fun. However, in fairness, when a store deserves mad props..you gotta give it to them. read more

So I have had to go to the apple store three times in the past week due to Computer problems. This place is so hectic, but is a little less congested then the one at Ala Moana. I went to buy a new charger and everyone seemed to be busy and every time I would ask someone for help, the would just bring me to someone else. This happened three times before I was rung up. The charger didn't work so I made an appointment online, they didn't have anything until five in the afternoon. So I went to my appointment and I waited a good ten minutes for someone to show up and help me. Of course he fixed my computer and offered to replaced my keyboard and track pad free of charge which was good. He said it would take about 24 hours and would call when it was ready. They never called so I eventually went down and it was ready. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. read more

I hated MAC, I always felt it's rather pretentious and redundant, half of the essential softwares I need to use wouldn't even operate on it. But I after I took my iphone in for diagnostic it almost changed my idea of ever want to use an apple computer. Because the service there was superb, and I would need to thank Jannel (? i apologizes if I spelled incorrectly), for her utmost performance in helping me finding what's wrong with my phone, and fixed that issue at no cost. If all the technicians at the store are like her, I'm willing to be on board with a Mac...or atleast try to run a windows on it. read more

This review is for a recent encounter with the Apple I had regarding my iPhone 6. I had trouble with callers not being able to hear me clearly without using the speakerphone. The friendly and efficient Genius bar employee determined the bottom microphone had failed and the phone was no longer under warranty. Apple does not offer a repair service for the microphone. Being out of the 1-year warranty, Apple quoted $300 to replace the phone for another iPhone 6 or suggested we could sign up for an installment program to make monthly payments towards a new iPhone 6s. Not being satisfied that a seemingly simple part would not be repaired by Apple, I did some research. I came across an independent phone repair shop in Honolulu which fixed the bottom microphone for $60 including parts and labor in under 45 minutes. Having been an Apple customer having spent high five digits over many years I have experienced a substantial decline in how lenient Apple is towards customers in handling repairs that are not under warranty. The "out of the box", "against written policy" and generally customer-centric way Apple handled situations in the past made me a very brand loyal customer as I felt they were looking out for me. This experience, and others in the past two years with regards to policy changes, have left me feeling like Apple's customer experience is changing for the worse. I actually considered buying a Microsoft product the other day which surprised me. I'm certain to buy Apple products in the future. I am less of an Apple "fanatic" and believe at lease some of my purchase considerations will include Apple competitors. My gut feeling these changes will improve the Apple retail store bottom line in the short term but will have a long term negative effect to Apple's brand loyalty. read more

For the first time evar, I decided to line up for an Apple product. Usually, a could wait a few months before getting the next big thing from Apple, but I've been running on a flip phone since moving to Hawaii a few months ago. I held off getting a smartphone because I knew the iPhone 5 was coming out this fall so I thought I could handle a "dumbphone" for a while. Well, patience got the best of me. After I heard all the pre-orders went quickly, and that it would take 2-3 weeks for delivery, it seemed that lining up was my only chance out of flip phone hell. Effort paid off. I got to Kahala Mall around 4am. The Starbucks was already open and there were a handful of people inside. A guy sitting right at the door asked "Here for the iPhone?" and I said yep. "Ok, you're number 11." Oh, ok. That's easy, I thought. I could relax in the comfort of the Starbucks anywhere I'd want and not have to worry about losing "my place" in line when the actual lineup occurs. Overall, a nice group of people trying to keep everything civil. Doors to Kahala Mall opened at 6 and we all lined up. I'd say at that point there were already 50-75 people. Soon after, the regional leader (or something) of the Apple Store came out and tried to get us all pumped up despite the lack of sleep we've all obviously have been deprived of. Nonetheless, they hooked us up with free Jamba Juice, malasadas, and other baked goods. Great way to get our blood sugar pumping again! Around 7, they started asking everyone who their carrier was and what memory and color they wanted. A great way to keep everything seamless and organized. Once 8 rolled around, they did a big countdown and then started letting customers in 10 at a time. I quickly got mine and was out the door in no time. The only problem I had was that I wasn't able to keep my number from my prepaid account. I was told this had to be done at a Verizon store, but since they were already sold out, I had no choice but to buy from the Apple store just to secure a phone on launch day. This isn't any of Apple's doing, but Verizon as I was told there would be no problem, which I asked over a month ago. Instead, they blamed Apple for not having the system set up for that. Despite that hiccup, everything at the Apple Store (outside of the Verizon reps) were really nice and tried to make everything as easy as possible. I particularly like this location more than the one at Ala Moana or Royal Hawaiian Centers because I feel you get a bit more personal service here. I don't know if I would line up in the wee hours again, but it was definitely an experience to be had. read more

Checked the battery health on my 2 year old iPhone and noticed that the battery needed servicing. Was able to make an appt. for the Genius Bar the next day. The Genius (forgot his name) checked my phone and said that the battery needed replacing. He gave me a choice of replacing the battery ($49) or buying a new phone ($350 w/credit for my old phone). I chose the battery replacement option. I was pleasantly surprised that the replacement took only an hour. Genius was very helpful and the service was quick. read more

I went to the Apple Store to buy an Itunes gift card. There were many people there, but everyone was attended to. The staff is courteous, well trained and oh so patient. I saw a Grandma with the younger generation learning how to use an I pad. I saw a mom using an educational program to play with her daughter, and teaching her how to read. I saw the sales clerk who did my transaction and emailed me the receipt. I would hang out there more often if I had more free time. Then I would probably buy one of everything. Gotta love Apples! I also learned how to make reservations for the one on one training. Will be doing that soon. :-) Thanks to the staff for a great shopping experience. read more

I've had galaxy phones for years now and fell in love with the note 4, so it was very unfortunate to hear about the whole exploding note 7 issue. The iPhone 7 plus came out around the same time and seemed to be a great competitor so I thought it was finally time to give the iPhone a chance. The kahala mall Apple Store seems to be only used by locals and to me, it seems to have an effect on service. I mean this in a good way of course. The entire staff all have smiles on their face and were ready to help out. A gentleman started me off by finding out that the T-Mobile version of the phone was in stock and he redirected me to Joey. He was very helpful and made the switch very easy. After some time trying to get files transferred between phones, he came back to check up on us and even helped me to put on my screen protector that I would have otherwise messed up on my own. So it was a quick and pleasant experience here at the Kahala Apple Store and mahalo to Joey for all of the help. read more

Just fix what you BROKE! Around August i received and email from Apple stating that my MacBook Pro had a battery recall and that the replacement would be free. I made an appointment and took my computer in, in early August. Everything seemed easy and went well. I picked up my computer up about a week later. During the battery replacement process they replace the keyboard and the trackpad, not too bad right? First issue I noticed was that the right arrow key only worked sporadically. I called the store up explained the issue and took it back in. Took about 15 minutes, but they got key working. Later i noticed a second issue, part of the trackpad doesn't fully click, feels like there is something stuck in there. Took it back again. 10 days later, i understand they are busy, i get a call from the store saying that they cant fix the trackpad because there is water damage and they dont repair anything with water damage. I just wanted them to fix the part that they broke. So somewhere between them taking my computer and getting to the repair water somehow got halfway down the inside of my computer an caused some damage. They recommended a $1475 fix or that i could by a new MacBook Pro. Go figure. So now after a FREE battery replacement i now have a broken trackpad, and have been without a computer for a total of 17 days, i need a computer for my job. I would recommend the Waikiki store and i should have gone there in the first place. Repairs are much quicker and i probably wouldn't be in this position. read more

I don't typically buy Apple products, but I do have a few iPods and I bought someone else a Mac this year. When my brand new iPod did not charge properly, I went down to Kahala Mall to see if the Apple store there could help me. They told me that there was no "Genius" (gag!) available, but that I could make an appointment. I did so, and was helped by a young lady who reset the iPod. The staff was very friendly. When I bought a Mac for a gift for someone, I was disturbed to see signs next to them saying they can't get PC viruses! This is false advertising -- Macs ARE PCs and they can and do get viruses and can spread Windows viruses as well (despite what your friends told you and the ads imply). However, I can't really blame the Apple store at Kahala for their corporate PR deceit. So, I give Apple products overall 3 stars, their PR and advertising machine 0 stars, and the Apple store in Kahala 4 stars because they have good customer service and a nice layout. Just please don't call them geniuses. read more

I came in on August 26th with no appointment, looking to upgrade my phone. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, didn't make me feel bad for not having an appointment. Terri helped me so much from picking out a new phone and setting it all up. It did take awhile to set up but I expected it to take much longer than it actually did. She was super pleasant to converse with and she knew exactly what she was doing. I ended up buying extra accessories because of her knowledge of products. I will never go to another Apple Store again. Ive been to 3 and none gave me service quite like this one did. Alex C. is amazing! He was happy to help me, even when I walked in right before closing. Not only that, he worked miracles and got me a new phone. The last thing I was expecting Id get out of this! All in all, this was thee best experience, ever, at any Apple Store. I can never come away from this Apple store with anything less than a smile it seems(and not having bought something)! As I said before about this location, they are the friendliest of the Apple owned stores on the island(that I've visited amongst the three) and I always come away feeling like I had a good experience there. Really though, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Kahala Mall as a whole as a family feel to it when it comes to shopping along with the fact that this store doesn't get barraged with an endless wave of shoppers. The reason I'm singing this store's praises today though, is because I went there this evening to get a replacement screw for my Macbook Pro. For those of you who don't own one or have never taken one apart, this laptop has these little special screws on the bottom that require a smaller than usual screwdriver to take them out(probably the type used for eye glasses). When I discovered that the one screw was missing(no, I didn't recently take mine apart), I thought to myself what a pain it would be to have to go and track down a place that has this special size used on the Macbook Pro. Much to my surprise & delight, I found out that if you go down to the Apple Store they will give you a replacement if you ask. So down to the store I went... For good measure I brought my Macbook Pro too, in case they wanted to see what I needed(which they did). A few seconds later my laptop was taken into the backroom where they spent a little bit of time putting in the replacement screw and all was good again! They didn't charge for the screw which was great, but I'm definitely impressed that they put it in & didn't just give me the part that I needed being that I mentioned that I took the computer apart before to upgrade the memory. They certainly didn't have to bother to go this extra mile, and yes it is good customer service for them to do so whenever possible but I honestly wasn't expecting them to do this. I'd also like to note that one of the other staff members came by and asked me if I was being helped even though I'm sure they saw that I was being assisted moments earlier. Definitely a nice touch compared to other places where you could stand in the middle of the store for eternity before someone will acknowledge that you are there... In any case, come to this Apple Store if you want great customer service and are looking to buy or service an Apple product! read more

I have a love hate relationship with this particular store. Why? It is the closest store to work. That means we take our iMacs in there whenever we have hardware problems. It's a busy store and sometimes that means waiting a while after your appointment time to get genius support. I've waited 30 minutes past before. On a few occasions our iMacs were returned with other problems after they fix the original problem. This does not happen when we take it to the Royal Hawaiian or Ala Moana store. The sales people or specialists as they're called, are good but their geniuses have an ego with them. There are a few geniuses that are down to earth though. Last week I made the mistake of visiting the apple Kahala location to pick up two cordless mouses and Dre beats earbuds. We selected our items and wandered around looking for someone to ring us up. Several apple employees were standing around in their green shirts dutifully ignoring us. It wasn't until they overhead me make comment to my friend that maybe they would pay attention to us if we walked toward the door with merchandise in our hands. Right at that moment someone finally greeted us. I asked the person who conducted the transaction about the green shits and if they were new. He said that the shirts weren't new and told us about how apple is a "zero polluting company". then walked away to get me my receipt. As he was gone I finished the bottled water I had. when he returned I politely asked if he would do me a favor and put my bottled water in a recycling for me zero polluting company, right... The clerk rudely replied "I'm not a trash can" and pointed me out to the mall. I guess in his wisdom he assumed I knew where every recycling bucket is in the Kahala mall or should know. Also where he told me to go, there was no recycling bucket only a trash can, so I still have my water bottle. Needless to say I will not be back to this location, and will be looking at bids for your competitors. Apple computers are supposed to be premium products, command premium prices. If I'm going to get third rate service, I'll save some money and go with a more affordable computer company. read more

My name is Chad and I am an Apple-holic. Yes, that is right...for the first time in my life I am admitting that I am addicted to apple products and this former windows-loving addict has taken a bite of the fruit and eat the apples straight off the tree. Well, it was the night of the Apple 4S launch and after a very long day at work, I decided that I should reward myself with a new phone (not a normal occurrence for the record and I had my other reasons). Upon arriving at the Apple store at the Kahala Mall, I noticed the line which had formed and the apple staff being extremely knowledgeable and sharing the process that awaited us. They were nice, very pleasant, and just upbeat which spread like a contagious plague. My thirteen hour work day drained body soon turned into this upbeat and happy persona. The staff are generally very knowledgeable about their products and very easy to talk to. They genuinely want to make you feel comfortable with the product before you buy them. Don't get me wrong, there are a few of them there that are a bit less attentive or naive, but it is never unnerving nor off putting. Certainly a good option to check out if you are in the market for an apple product! read more

My favorite Apple Store on island. It's reasonably sized and not too overwhelming. Doesn't get as busy as the Ala Moana one, and I usually don't have a hard time finding someone to help me. Since it's close to UH, I usually try to go here when I need to go to the Genius Bar or buy something to pick up in store. Plus, I can do double duty and go to Whole Foods. :) read more

It sucks when your phone has issues. I try my best to take care of my iPhones. I always have a good, shatter proof case on it. I don't let the elements touch it. In fact, the few times I have had to have it looked at, the store rep always comments on how 'new' it looks. Recently, I had to have the battery replaced. Here are a few frustrating things about the experience: 1. You can rarely ever make an appt for the same day at the Kahala location. SO you normally have to wait a day or two before you can even be seen. 2. I knew my battery was messed up. They ran the diagnostic and confirmed that yes, it is the battery, but they do not have any in stock. I mean, its an iPhone 6....not like its way old or anything. Maybe they go through them quick. So they have to order the battery and I wait 4 days to be able to take it back and have it replaced. 3. The replacement goes well, I have Apple Care, all is right in the world of technology and electronics again. Or is it? I get home and receive a phone call...cannot hear the person unless I put it on speaker. So I troubleshoot (carefully following the advice on the Apple Forum site)...nope. The earpiece does not work. So I immediately go to the Apple Store app and navigate through the myriad of questions to get it to allow me to make a Genius Bar appt again...two days later. The next morning I check the phone to get ready to FaceTime...the camera facing me does not work. WTH?! Lucky, I already made an appt. Does it suck not getting closure of how my follow up appointment went from this review? That's how I feel too...I'll write an update after my appointment in two days. UPDATE: 14 Aug 16 I showed for my appt a little early, had a seat and was helped within 10 min. They ran a diagnostic and sure enough...the ear speaker failed and the front camera failed. So I ended up leaving it with them for 2hrs to replace the front of the phone to see if that fixed the problem. If not, I would have had to wait another 4 days for a new phone to come in. Still don't get why don't they have this stuff in stock? I have an iPhone 6...it's not even two years old. There have to be other people out there who still have iPhone 6's under warranty. Luckily, replacing the front seems to have corrected the issue. Of course, I still had to spring $36 for a screen protector, but hey...at least I got my phone back and didn't have to come back again. read more

This place is awesome. I switch between here and the Apple Store at Ala Moana. There's always kids here after school who are killing time. The employees are really cool too; they ask if you need help and will answer any questions. I mean any! I was looking for a birthday present for my mom and couldn't think of anything. I asked an employee what I should get my mom, so he asked for my budget. I said under $100. So he gave me a couple suggestions from the store, but gave me other ideas not from the store. He said the best gift is homemade! (: This answer made my day. My review isn't really about the merch in the store, but it's about employees who actually care about the customers. As for the store, they sell things that satisfy the tech nerd in you. I tend to visit a lot of Apple stores in different states and so my review is based off of my comparison of the Kahala Apple Store to others I have encountered. On several occurrences, the employee just seemed very confrontational and bothered that I kept asking technical questions about the product so I could understand it better. If you don't either understand the question or don't know it, ask for me to explain it differently or ask someone who does! My advice: hit up the Ala Moana Apple Store or the Royal Hawaiian location. I'm sure it's just a couple of employees that need better training is all. Not great service, but not terrible either so it's just an average store. Not the typical "Apple" level of service you would expect however. read more

Apple products in general are pricey. I don't own the whole line of products but I have a few. I recently made a purchase at this location because I wanted to upgrade one of my Apple products. I did all my research in advance on apple.com. I walked into the store 30 minutes before closing. A staff greet me and I told them what I wanted and within 5 minutes, I was out of the store. I'm not one of those who like to linger in the store and play with their products. I want to be in and out in the least amount of time and this place does it for me. I also like this location more than Ala Moana because is not as busy. read more

My iphone SE broke while I was moving furniture. I went to Verizon Wireless where I bought the phone and they were unfortunately not able to recover any of the pictures or info on my now broken phone. I was pretty upset about it as it was not backed up and it contained pretty much all the pictures of the birth of my son & his first few months. The guy at Verizon suggested that I try and see if one of the workers at the Apple Store could help. I bought my computer and broken phone to the store in Kahala Mall. And guess what, within 10 mins the worker was able to recover everything! It may seem like a minor fix but the content on my phone was priceless and meant a lot to me. I am so grateful that the worker Jacob could save everything. Thanks so much Jacob for your quick, friendly and especially life-saving help! I had been advised by the Verizon guy to make an appointment with Apple but did not. It didn't seem to matter though cause when I got to the store I was helped pretty much immediately. From now on I will also be backing up my phone regularly. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge #41/100 What's my favorite Apple store on Oahu? The Kahala Apple store! Why? Well here's a short list: - Workers are very friendly - Not as crazy as the Ala Moana location - Easier to find parking than the Royal Hawaiian shopping center location - I can usually get a Genius bar appointment - It has a more relaxed atmosphere than the other two locations - The business team rocks! I would have added that they open up early (like 7:00 am before), but now they open up at 10:00 am. It was 8:00 am, then 9:00 am and now 10:00am. Boo! It's not Apple, but from what I hear it is the mall. Not sure why that is when Starbucks opens up super early. It's not Apple's fault, but when it did open up early it was just awesome. There was no one around and I could definitely get some training and/or assistance in a quiet store. Overall, this Apple store is as good as it gets. I was having a frustrating day...on the phone with our internet provider, on the phone with Apple Support and I was advised to bring my Mac Mini into an apple store for further assistance because they could not figure out why I was having wi-fi connectivity issues (since I was able to access wi-fi on all of our other apple devices). Generally, I like the Kahala location because it is not as busy as Ala Moana. I live closer to the Ala Moana Apple store but to me the drive to Kahala is really worth it. Within a few minutes of touching my Mac Mini the guy there new instantly what was wrong and helped me fix it. It had to do with my Mac Airport set-up (at home) so I jotted down a few notes on what I had to look for and do. As soon as I got home, I tried it and it worked:) We are an Apple family and today is another reason why we continue to love our Apple devices. BTW...we have 2 Mac minis, 2 iPads, 2 iPad minis and my husband and I both have iPhones. read more

I came in to get my battery tested and it qualified for the 29.00 replacement. Battery was ordered and received a text saying my battery came in so made another appointment. When I came in for my appointment, found out that they gave my battery away and I would have to wait another 2 1/2 months for a new one. Apple is going down hill!!! read more

I just bought an Ipad Retina Display (4th gen). I feel like all apple stores look the same. They kind of remind me of Abercrombie and Fitch stores where the staff just kind of hangs around talking story and they all look the same and the items they have on display all looks the same and they have these backdoor crew people bring in the item you want. Except apple has these really bright lights in their store that it kind of makes me really hyper or something. As for the Kahala mall store, Pros: Conveninet location, fast, friendly Cons: Too many workers/Too few workers at times Overall: I had a good experience. It was easy to buy my ipad and I had pretty much all my questions answered and then some. TIP: Buy your Ipad on a Friday so you have the weekend to toy around with it. Waking up and going to work sucks cause it means less IPAD time. read more

The wait to see a technician was long but the service we received from the employees was 5 star. Everyone was friendly and super helpful. Robert helped us with our two IPADS & was so patient & thorough with making sure we knew everything that was wrong with it. Just wanted to leave a great review for him because he deserves it. Even if you know exactly what you need they will not sign you in and take your laptop/device and let you leave it. So you have to wait days before you get in for something like a new battery. Which feels silly. And then when you come back you do exactly that! Now you need to make yet another trip to come pick it up. What the heck guys. Get it together. You're wasting time and gas. Take the device and just inform the person you may not see it until such and such time. Once they have your device they are super fast. Something nice is they come out before they open (at 9:40) and ask you what's wrong. So I knew they couldn't see me before they opened. Still think they suck. Love apple products.
