So, I'm from Indiana and my screen saver on my phone broke into smithereens. I went to my hometown Apple Store and they weren't very helpful. But, here at the Kahala Mall Apple store, they were able to replace my protector. After a short wait, Ryan, the tech, was meticulous and carefully removed and cleaned my screen and case, before putting on the new screen. He gave me the instructions for replacing the screen. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me the information to register the new screen. My phone is looking like new without broken glass. I highly recommend this location, which is always busy. Parking can be challenging at the Mall. Get there early if possible.

Apple Products seem to be one of the current life essentials. My experience at Apple has always been hit or miss with some employees being genuinely nice and others downright rude because a customer comes in already set to buy the Apple product. The products are not cheap but the functionality and appearance speaks for itself. On a Black Friday the lines were long as expected because of the gift card option. We bought a new phone online and the special gift card did not apply correctly so we ended up at the store to fix the purchase. The first two employees were super nice and fixed the issue right away. Then the experience goes downhill. We bought the phone and were shuttled to another table. The older Asian man with the mask was supposed to help. Omg...so rude..we sat and barely even started the process before he said..you should go to Verizon for the set up. Then he walks away. Someone else eventually helps out to let us know the steps and options to stay in store or do from home. We try the in-store help instead. While we were waiting another customer comes and is clearly super upset with something that happened earlier. Then older Asian apple employee with mask comes back from break. She asks him for assistance and he looks at her and said I am here to help all customers and walks away from her to ask other people if they need help. Needless to say we left without setting up our phone there but watched YouTube to update everything ourselves. So...location is clean and full of cool products. Employees need to be trained to help all customers. Also, one employee in particular should be nicer. He spoils the experience for all customers.

    Very Busy Apple Store

I called this store directly three times today to ask if it's possible to replace my ipad screen, each time it rung until auto-hang-up. Drove there instead, and the employee told me they would have to look at my ipad to determine if it's replaceable, and they're too booked to look at it today, but I could try come back tomorrow. Then they asked how old it was and said I'd probably have to replace the whole thing. Would have been nice to know since I drove an hour today. I would rather have had them answer the phone to tell me no can. I dialed a different place and they said they can replace it for me in 24 hours, so I go somewhere else for repair.

I have been and still continue to be an IPhone, IPad, Apple Watch user since the IPhone 3, IPad 1 and Apple Watch 2. That said, I've been the Apple Store twice in my life of Apple products. Once long ago in Emeryville, CA because my IPhone 3 screen cracked and now recently, the Apple Store in Kahala because my new phone is acting up. (Really? Is it the phone acting up or is it you Terry who may not be using it properly?) Here is my story: About 10 months ago I upgraded my phone through my line carrier (WHAT A MISTAKE) and I'm disappointed in them but that is another story and review. So my phone's Bluetooth doesn't work. Friends of mine say it's because of that I'm doing something wrong.... I can't use my new headphones because it is wireless and bluetooth friendly. I can't use my desk and home speakers and pair them to my playlist. I can't! I can't! I can't! Why? Why? Why? The answer is my cellular service company messed up when they fired up my new phone and the transfer of data etc. was done incorrectly. What? Yup!!! So what happens next? Genius Bar Pro Justin helped me get things corrected and answered many questions. In addition, he taught me that the Apple Store is a one stop shop including their ability to work with the cellular carrier. Lesson to be learned? It is not called the GENIUS BAR for nothing and those GENIUSES back there? They are not called GENIUS for nothing either!!! #applerules #allthingsapple

Apple a day... When my options doesn't meet my satisfaction I go to Apple and yes it keeps me happy and healthy :-) After my trip to Japan keeping up on Yelp has been my struggle even with my laptop which made the world of difference but is quite heavy to carry around so my ever so active mind thought of a wireless keyboard and have bought one online...meh! So here I am decided to see what they have to offer and was immediately greeted by a staff who showed me where to find them and gosh was surprised to see the various options and decided to get one that has a bit more options, absolutely delightfully staff who listened the reason of getting it which almost felt therapeutical of the need to purchase this item lol! Thank you!

Leading me to assume that I was going to be without my phone for a day. The counter girl asked for my email and said it would be about 30 minutes. The kid doing the work confirmed that yes, it would take about 30 minutes. So i handed my phone over and did some shopping. I came back about 30 minutes later, and sure enough. The repair was complete. While i was waiting in line to pick up my phone. The Tech kid was explaining to customer when its a good time to replace the battery, and when to get rid of the phone. Found their conversation enlightening. I paid the $80, with a thank you, and out into the world i went. The only knock I would give them is the credit card "surcharge". Which I was told about at the very beginning. So if you go there to get your phone repaired. BRING CASH... I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I arrived to the location at around 12:30pm (time stamp in image.) I spoke to two employees. I talked to one employee that took a look at my iPad and confirmed the price and time to pick up (2 hours). I also confirmed again with the guy who managed the payment that it would take two hours. I show up around 4:45pm and no one greets me walking in. So I walk up (five minutes later) to the first employee and asked if the tablet is ready. She told me, "Oh you're early, I just have to put on the screen." It had been 2+ hours since I dropped off so I was confused but I said I will wait till they are done. I came back around 50 minutes later and the repair is not done yet. At this point it is already 5:45pm and it has not been finished. I wait until 6:18pm and she hands me it without apologizing for the wait or anything. I regret not saying anything about the time issue but it feels conflicting because of all the things I signed and I am not sure if I am in right to. The problem is not how long it takes, but it was the misinformation about when pick up would be. I confirmed with two people that it would be ready in two hours. It came out to almost 6 hours. I would not have minded dropping it off and coming back another time, if they had communicated that. But I was told it was 2 hours so I waited there, standing in the store and not wanting to rush the employees. The repair itself is excellent but the customer service was conflicting. I paid $329.84 and expected quality care. I do wish I had a better experience because it seems others do.

I originally purchased the case at the Ala Moana location. Before I left, I specifically asked the employee who helped me if I could return it at ANY location without the account/contract holder being present. He clearly told me YES, any store could process the return. I went to the Kahala location first and was told, "Sorry, you can't return this here." So I then drove all the way to the Kapahulu location just to make this simple return. When I walked into the Kapahulu store, there were THREE employees working, and not one of them acknowledged me for at least 20 minutes. No "Hi," no "We'll be right with you," nothing. I just stood there waiting while being completely ignored. When someone was finally available, Kaylee helped me. I explained that I simply needed to return the phone case. Without even checking anything, she immediately told me she couldn't return it without the contract holder's ID. I explained that I purchased the case separately. Then suddenly the reason changed -- now she said she couldn't refund me because there was a discount on it. At that point, it honestly felt like I was just being given excuse after excuse and the runaround because she simply did not want to process the return. She made absolutely no effort to even TRY to help until it turned into an argument. And after arguing for several minutes, what happened? Kaylee simply ran my card and processed the refund. That was it! So clearly it COULD be done the entire time. I cannot believe I had to drive to multiple locations, stand around for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, be given multiple excuses, and then ARGUE with an employee just to get a simple refund that ultimately took seconds to process. PLEASE, some customer service! A simple "Let me see what I can do" would have gone a long way. Customers should not have to ARGUE with employees just to get them to attempt to help. Absolutely terrible and disappointing experience.

I understand that businesses get busy and that unexpected issues happen, but there is absolutely no excuse for leaving customers waiting this long with little to no communication. At a certain point, you start wondering if anyone actually cares that you're there. You make the effort to come in, set aside your time, and wait patiently, only to sit there watching the clock while nothing happens. If there is going to be an extremely long wait, the least Spectrum can do is be upfront about it and communicate with customers instead of leaving them completely in the dark. What makes it even more frustrating is that customers are essentially forced to waste a huge portion of their day just to get basic assistance. People have jobs, appointments, families, errands, and other responsibilities. Our time matters too. Spectrum shouldn't expect customers to simply sit around indefinitely because their system or staffing can't keep up with demand. I honestly cannot understand how this is considered acceptable customer service. Waiting an unreasonable amount of time should not be treated as normal, especially when customers are paying for the service in the first place. Spectrum needs to seriously rethink how it handles customers and wait times. Better staffing, better communication, and a basic level of respect for customers' time would go a very long way. I left this experience feeling completely frustrated and disappointed. The service itself is one thing, but customer service is a huge part of the overall experience. When a company makes you feel like your time means absolutely nothing, it makes you seriously question why you're giving them your business in the first place. Do better, Spectrum. Customers deserve better than this.
